I usually go through a bottle every 2 days because it is tasty. But there is something I noticed is that Sugar really does mess with my ability to not eat much.

I did an experiment by having just crackers and cottage cheese and just regular oatmeal. I noticed I did not want to eat much at all. I decided to have one kefir and it made me hungry again. Also I do admit to liking milk but if I have a gallon out it takes me 4 days to finish it.

I don't get it, bros. How am I supposed to get so much protein? I eat meat, tuna cans and some yogurt, eggs for breakfast too but I never go over 100g protein.

A simple solution is to get some protein powder. Normal foods come with loads of other macros. Getting tons of protein without distorting your carb or fat proportions requires clever combining of the right foods.

But here's an example of 1900kcal consisting of 145g protein, 219g carbs, 47g fat and 29g fiber without using protein powder:
250g dark soy groats
50g green lentils
100g macaroni
30g rapeseed oil
100g oats
5g salt
+ multivitamin, fish oil

The oats are one meal and the rest is whatever amount of meals you want. Put lentils in pot that's almost full with water. Boil for 45min. Add macaroni and boil for 8min. Add soy groats and boil 1min. Now it's finished. Strain out the the water and put the stuff in container for eating or storing. Add oil and salt. Mix salt in thoroughly to get even saltiness.

Hey /fit, yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in years and worked out with a PT. I told him I wanted to build muscle and cut fat, and he said he wanted to work on the machines until we started the weights.

Heres (roughly) the routine we did:
Cable flies 3x8
Chest press 3x8
Incline bench 3x8
Bench 3x10
Weight assisted pull up 3x10

How would you rate his routine? I was weak as hell and now I can't even stretch out my arms, but I feel good.

There was 100g oats. You can vary the oats, green lentils and macaroni without changing the macros or total calories if you follow the rules:
30g oats per 10g of green lentils
macaroni is 2x the amount of green lentils

Which gives one extreme plan as:
250g dark soy groats
30g oil
5g salt
240g oats
+ multivitamin, fish oil

This would be the quickest to cook as soy groats soak up water really quickly when heated which can be done in the microwave. The amount of water should be such that the groats are barely covered. 5min at 500W in the microwave should be enough. Personally, I wouldn't eating just groats. They are pretty bland. Only the added oil and salt makes them edible. With macaroni and lentils, there's a total of three different textures in the mix which is a lot more enjoyable.

The choices of ingredients are optimized for price which kind of prohibits going low-carb when you reject the use of protein powder. Lots of cheap protein sources happen to be plants. The only foods that are low-carb and high-protein I can think of are meat, eggs and cheese. Eggs and cheese are too high in fat so you can't get below 2000kcal with those while getting 150g protein. Lean meat becomes the only choice.

Refusing to use protein powder is really quite limiting. Especially if you also want the freedom to go low-carb.

Routine would work decently for someone who has been lifting for 1 year and is now doing a cycle of steroids. Split hitting the upper body, though it lacks any compound work which is still useful for a split.

As for an overweight natty, it's basically useless cardio. You can't run a split natty to gain muscle and strength. You need to do compound exercises every workout to fatigue your muscles again. Without the steroids, your body can't coast on the fatigue you've created for a whole week.

Start doing dumbbell and compound exercises. PTs have no idea what they're doing and most don't even know how to properly perform exercises.

No, it doesn't make sense. You're either a freak of nature or mistaken. The fat lost should be taken in the proportions that it is distributed on the body. So the areas that carry the largest portion of your total body fat lose the most. This means the stomach and lower back area for most men.

Maybe you were at a lower BF% then? I believe yoyoing in weight causes gradual loss of muscle mass as you don't gain as much back without lifting, if you lose some. Also, muscle mass decreases with age (when you don't lift) which also supports you being at a lower BF% in the past compared to now.

im eating around 500 calories a day, and im burning off roughly 50-150 calories of that, through exercise. i would love to burn off between 2-5 pounds weekly. before you say its impossible, i did a similar weight loss thing back in 2015, and i lost 85 pounds in less then 6 months, but then i quit my diet for a year, and only gained back around 45-50 pounds (i was eating probably 3,000-5,000 calories a day) so its obvious i lose weight faster then i gain. wish me luck boi's

I was looking to check in with some experienced people who have dropped fat through diet.

Last official weigh in was Friday the 24th:

I prepared the weeks meals that day and I have been sticking strictly to a cut for the past 5 days. I wanted to wait until the end of the week to weigh up but I have felt phenomenal so far. I've been averaging 1500 calories a day, clean eating, my TDEE is 2997 calories. Now here is my problem:

I went ahead and weighed myself today (I wanted to wait till 7 days but I got ahead of myself) My digital scale read 219 lbs. I found an old analog scale and set down 10 lbs of weights and calibrated it. It also read as 219 lbs. I have been energized, I've been more happy, everything just feels right. I'm quiet hungry at night, especially as I type this.

My concern is this appears to be mostly water weight. I do look better to myself in the mirror but 10 lbs seems excessive. I'm a little nervous at the moment. Am I fucking something up? This does not seem healthy, nor possible, that I had shed 10 lbs in 5 days. Granted I've never not gone a day where I didn't eat 3000+ calories but still.

Also worth noting, my weight and dimensions Friday were taken by an army recruiter at their offices. The weights I took today were in my own home.

Any advice or suggestions here would be helpful Is this normal?

Not sure where to post this, but here goes. I'm not that overweight, I'd say I'm chubby at best. I used to be a martial artist and decided to brush up on my kata and practice. Now I'm pretty out of shape muscular wise but I had no pain or soreness going into it. This was about 5 days ago.

The next day my muscles under my knee and elbow were incredibly sore and I could barely move my legs without pain. Next, my shoulders and clavicles were extremely sore to the touch...this is the most bothering thing to me.

Since then most of my pain is totally gone but my shoulders are still sore while I'm using my mouse and keyboard. It's straining just to keep my hand on the mouse for long periods of time. I can raise my arms above my head and keep them there without issue or actual pain, but the soreness of keeping my arm in the same position to hold a mouse is still there.

Is this a common problem? Why is it still sore while my other muscles have recovered?

The original version of the Pizzahut $5 menu. You could get 2 medium pizzas, wings and 2 orders of breadsticks for $20 and I took advantage of it often. I just checked and my usual order was around 7500 calories and I would eat that over the course of a night. I'm amazed I'm not dead.

im the original guy, and i stated throughout my almost full year of ending my diet, i was eating 3,000-5,000. i was only homeless for 2 months. so in reality i was eating close to probably 1,000-2,400 in fast food, which sounds like a lot, but thats really just few small Burgers and a fry (i almost never got pop, but did few times) so i got hooked on the sugar and the unhealthy shit as i was "down in the dumps" and when i got a place, and more money to buy actual food, then i started eating the 3,000-5,000.

i didn't start off eating like a pig, i said for almost 6 months i wasn't really eating that much, i was so trained to eat small, it took few weeks before i started eating 2 burgers and an occasional fry. (like i said i was a fatty for 19 years, once i started eating bad again, i just turned instantly back to fat mode)
