if you're at a wl gym and it's your last set yes, for me it's easier to take the plates off when it's on the ground compared to when you rerack it on those fucking shitty racks we use, ive fucked up taking plates off the bar when it's racked was so tired and not thinking and took too many plates off on one side and the bar went flying. everyone just laughed it off

What worked for me was working on my flexibility through my quads, and much of the pain went away. Every now and then I have to take some ibuprofen before working out to avoid the pain, but I'm functional again. Still going through the recovery process, but that's what helped me break through.

I've developed a pain in my quadricep across the lower outer part in particular, which now feels incredibly tight (IT band as well).

It's not noticeable sitting down or resting, it is very painful if i go down to the bottom position (eg when i get clothes out of the washing machine etc. not actual training) particularly where the IT band meets the knee, if i were to lift the pain would not become greater during lifting and instead go away for a bit and come back afterwards,

if i look in the mirror and flex my legs my right leg feels like its fully contracting and the individual muscles have separation (at least relative to my left leg), my left leg does not feel like it is contracting all the way and the muscles look much more like just one solid mass, so im thinking the muscles have a lot of adhesion, in fact through digging around with my hands it does feel like there are many knots in the muscle.

any advice? how 2 fix?

look at the club info, research the coach see if he has good credentials. if he doesnt, look at the people he coach, do they have all have good form that roughly looks the same. if they still dont, ask for a sample of his programming, if it looks good and not just a bunch of singles for a couple sets he might be good. try it out for a couple months see how it goes

unless you're absolutely retarded low iq and unathletic piece of shit, you would be fine with changing technique down the line if what he teaches doesnt work. happens all the time unless you live in russia or china where they have the coaching down

this has the benefit of letting you use heavier weights whilst providing some volume at the end

as for working up to your 1rm, you can start with low weight triples, then switch to doubles and singles as the weight goes up. try to use triples and doubles as much as possible without inducing too much fatigue, and to get more volume in. this is especially important if you're a beginner

however a beginner doesn't really have a true 1rm, and it's better to use a heavy single as the target

The effective heel height is a little low, if I recall correctly, and the heels compress at heavier weights, which is not ideal. Even so, at least one international level lifter uses an older version of them (with a modified heel), so they can't be too bad.

I don't do any static stretching before my sessions, just a warm-up and some pre-hab movements. I do some light stretching as a cooldown, and then some deeper stretching and rolling later in the day, usually before bed. On off days I like to do a couple mobility movements and then stretch whatever's feeling particularly stiff or sticky. This works pretty well for me, I think. As you go along you'll recognize what you need and what you don't, just like in PL.

If you do any foam rolling or stretching learn how to relax to let your cns know that rom is fine, deep breathe into the diaphragm and let all the air out and just slightly and gently increase the stretch

For foam rolling you can put it on a spot and flex that spot while you're on top of the roller, then relax it and start breathing deep what it does is let you feel the muscles relaxing with immediate feedback

When you snatch you don't have to drop down into it, that's beginner shit, just like you don't drop down into the bottom of the squat or when you bench, you wanna have control of the bar at all times, think of it like a golf swing, baseball swing or a punch whatever makes the most sense to you but the point is to start the movement using the big muscles and transfer to that to the smaller muscles in proper sequence, meaning your arms stay relaxed till it needs to guide the bar up and over head after you extend then it turns into supporting the bar overhead into a solid position where you can control it down into the hole then stand up

For your squat if it really is mobility problem then work on it, then start working on your proprioception you unathletic piece of shit. You do this by maintaining good position while descending, start with body weight, hold onto something if you're a fatass and can't do it without assistance

Usually just a really good warmup while focusing on good form would solve this, do a couple sets on body weight and just the bar

It's fine to do it on high bar and front squats. It will fuck your shit up if you do it on low bar though. Same with knee cave, some is expected on Max weight on oly and front, but it puts you at tremendous risk of blowing a knee out if you do it on low bar.

Also desu don't do high bar unless you do oly lifting. It's more dangerous because you can't get as tight as with low bar, and it is a lot more dangerous if you try to squat morning the weight because of a longer lever with the back.

Its possible, yes.

The thing about starting with oly movements is that previous lifting ability means basically nothing. You can be an ox strong 400lb bencher 700lb deadlifter and you will still utterly suck to start with because its not about anything besides mobility and skill at a highly technical movement. If anything, being strong can be a detriment to start with - you tend to have bad habits and struggle to work with really light weights to ingrain the tech because they're so damn pitiful and you can't pull properly until there's some weight on the bar.

You aren't in china/russia/bulgaria, any decent coach and program will have you working with appropriate weights and assistance exercises so you're not doing pvc drills for months on end.
