recently we've had an upswing in "race-baiting" and politically themed threads being posted in order to create discussions more suited for /pol/ or /bant/. /fa/ has a history of this. some recent examples include:

I think people just post them, and many other new threads, to get lots of attention and quick answers. Posting questions in-thread gives them less visibility. I don't think you can counter certain kinds of shitposting with generals.
More enforcing of the board rules would help, though
