I totally know how you feel. You eat like shit just a little bit and then the shame/guilt makes you eat even more and it becomes an endless spiral.
My way of beating it is to keep low-density foods around, think spinach, etc. What you really crave is the sensation of stuffing your face, not the indulgent food itself.
Step 1, get rid of the tempting food. Either put it away or throw it out if you think it will present a future problem, and then eat as much spinach or equivalent as you can handle. Sometimes I chew like 10 pieces of gum at once. You will feel a little shitty afterwards (which is kind of the goal, you want to kill the oral fixation), but the caloric impact will be minimal. It's very challenging to eat more than 100cal of spinach in one go.

I learned my lesson and decided I rather give up food for looking good. I do get more attention while thinner. It's also humiliating to have people congratulate you for losing weight then going right back to were you started.

literally, while you are still young and your skin is still elastic and healthy, the slower you go with weight loss the less loose skin you will have. if i had lost 70lbs in *just* a year, my body would look a wreck. drinking water helps with loose skin, but it is not a "cure all"

Guys I seriously need help.
My current weight is 190 lbs.
I need to lose at least 50 lbs to look like a decent human being.
I managed to lose 50 lbs myself but i'm stuck!
every time I start dieting something comes up and I end up going back to my pig ways.

Absolutely. It kind of depends on the person though. BMI is just a tool, and some people can go lower than others and still be healthy. Depends on frame size and other factors.

I'd say too thin is where you start to feel weak and unhealthy, or where you start to look sick rather than good. This line is pretty hard to tell on your own, though, and it is just as hard to find honest opinions. In real life your family and friends will always tell you to gain weight or that you look amazing just the way you are, and when you look at yourself you'll likely always tell yourself you need to lose more. So, finding honest opinions is difficult.

It was at a restaurant, but they didn't have the portion size on the menu. They generally do with steaks where I live, but not fish. Eyeballing it based on 3oz being a deck of cards, I'd say I had 12oz. 578 calories baked is what I'm going with for the meantime for the fish alone (total plate about 800 since I figured they used olive oil and there was some green stuff on the side I ate).

Nah most people definitely think that way, or at least along similar lines. Idk, I guess more than preference it's come down more to a difference in the way we see the human body. I've never thought about it as something where form and function were directly related to one another. I guess an overly simple way of putting it would be where you may see the two as having a causal relationship, I see it as them being more correlated with shared underlying factors (not to say your way of thinking is fallacious, by the way). So like, where you see it as function dictating form, I see it as the two often coinciding due to the way sexual characteristics differ but as personal choices being the things that ultimately dictate form while function is something that may or may not be taken advantage of.

The causal relationship I have is due to my extremely narrow focus on strength training recently. I spend a lot of my time reading about powerlifting, discussing powerlifting, eating and training to gain size and strength. Within the narrow context of strength sports like powerlifting, strongman, and to a slightly lesser extent weightlifting, physical form really does follow function pretty closely. While there are a lot of other factors that determine how much you can lift, you WILL NOT be able to deadlift 300kg with small, weak hamstrings, glutes, spinal erectors etc

But at the same time I recognize there are a lot of other things that can be done with the human body where just being the biggest and strongest possible isn't the ultimate form or function. Marathon runners as an extreme example.

I think you're right about the ability to separate form and function, crafting form just from personal choices. I think just comes from modern society/convenience where we have the time to consider form rather than just survival.

Personally, when you have the ability to have both form and function simultaneously, whether that's going for an ottermode body by swimming or bearmode through heavy weight training and a lot of food, getting both form and function is a lot more appealing than just getting one.

When it comes down to it, it really is all opinion based anyway. I see what you're saying though, and in your context, there really is a sort of causal relationship. I find that, since I started losing weight, not eating is the easiest method:
1. Hunger pangs go away after a couple days
2. Progress is much faster than any other method
3. All that shit about it being bad for you ONLY applies if you are already on the low end of normal BMI/underweight. Otherwise, your body is doing what it is meant to do- using its stored energy
4. It feels much more pure- you decide what your goal is and stop eating until you reach it, then reintroduce food slowly.

It's been working for me. I started overweight and now I'm dead in the center of my height's normal BMI range after just 2 months. I won't recommend it to anyone else but I will say it's worked for me.
