This shit is so fascinating to me. I'm not that into fashion personally but I find it very interesting especially the reasons behind certain styles/fads/aesthetics coming and going.

I think it's pretty safe to say Rick will continue to be relevant for at least the next 5 years or so, right? From what I can tell and from an outsider's perspective, Rick is just now starting to hit his peak in terms of mainstream influence.

So I have a question for you guys..
Who will be the next Rick? What will be the next huge trend in the fashion world in the way that Rick's aesthetic has become so recognizable today? Can you give me some designers to look out for?

I have the B/B ones, which im going to trade up into the grey SS16 ones at somepoint.

Shearling is ultracomfy, and I have wierd /alwayscold/ feet, so I get unparalleled comfytime when I wear them. The shearling isnt as structured in the upper of the shoe (but it still has a structured heelcup, which isnt shearling on the inside. They're actually constructed and thought out perfectly, the shearling is never in a place inside the shoe where it will be compressed and matted and start to wear), because shearling leather is by its nature very soft. If you want something with more structure to it, go for mainline leather.

Rakuten is basically a big online collection of Japanese thrift stores. I've yet to identify a fake product on there, though I don't doubt they exist. Most shops there are good about checking the merchandise and most have very strict ratings when it comes to the condition of the product (ie one barely noticeable stain on the hem lowers the rating to from excellent to fair).

I love Rakuten. You can get some great steals and all the stores I've purchased from have shipped to the US much faster than stuff I've purchased domestically.

There are also numerous things music doesn't even come close to in regards to fashion, so the comparison while it does have some degree of validity is mostly wrong. I don't know why you are so fixated on this. Depends on which specifically these are. There's a version called "drawstring long pants" that definitely wouldn't - I'm 5'9" and mine stacked way too much. These look like the cropped ones though, which are supposed to be short on you. Just depends on how comfortable you are with that.

Which hi tops? Both are cotton/synthetic uppers but I've only seen the regular canvas and leather ones in person. The ones on the left look like a puffy jacket, and I can't tell how shiny and crinkly the ones on the right are. The stitching and edges on the left pair are much cleaner, and I think I like the matte look more, but the ones on the right might ultimately be a nicer material. Cheaper too.
