To be fair, I liked that Shrink High was an actual game. It helped you identify with the characters, and the added pacing and context made the action a lot better. I mean, I don't think the Erika dungeon would have been nearly as good without the arduous slog to contrast with her uncaring casual attitude.

the original's story and pacing wasn't offensively bad and outright disruptive to the game, it was just barebones. That's a much better state to be in than the translation, where every other line of text was groan-inducing and their presence alone it the reason the game constantly gets criticised for a poor porn-to-everything-else ratio.

Regardless, in stories alone, both finished and not, I've seen enough shit that's just terrifying to go through. Not to mention stories that take place over the time frame of potential months or years, which means the total amount of stories I've read could potentially amount up to decades.
