It feels cheap, though. If you create the perfect beautiful genius virgin waifu before you even start playing, there's nowhere to go. It's much more fun to get a good candidate from an event and shape her into the perfect slavefu, but then you risk getting to week 100 without finding anyone good enough.

The problem with creating the perfect slave waifu is that unless you're into milfs, she quickly ends up costing 35,000 monies when you start with 10,000.

My favorite starting option is the one I was the most creative with. It's Marine+North America+Celebrity+social engineering. My backstory for this is that the destruction of the old worlds countries was caused by the current refugee dilemma and muslim extremists. They first marched into europe completely and started to make themselves at home. They were welcomed and the idea was to integrate them into modern society. The exact opposite is what happened. They subdued the culture and shoved their own into society. They got into the government and 'islamified' europe until it was in the same chaotic situation as the middle east. And the same happened with the US. The twist of fate being that my PC was smart enough to take her chance when a rising muslim politician wanted her as one of his wifes. The world was very chaotic already back then, but slavery has not made its way to the west yet. She came into his household as one of three wives. It turned out that the political party he was leading were the ones precisely planning to turn america muslim, and lose its western culture. The PC secretly began planning, and gathering influence aswell. When the right time finally came, she took his place in the latest stage of his plan. Through that, she made herself enemies but she was able to use the moment and take control of an arcology.
That's where my game begins. She's now owner of one of the arcologies inside a free city to the west of the continent, and with her are many citizens that have already started to agree with the reconstruction of one of the old sultanates, and her first three slaves.

I think the main thing you need to do is to make sure that the crossdressing actually offers the character a long term benefit.

To continue the twin-at-university example, the scholarship becomes your key to becoming better than your sister. Crossdressing lets you go from a wimpy loser to a popular and successful student, albeit a female one.

You could have a setting where all the mages in the world are female, except for the one male fluke who happens to be feminine. Perhaps the heir to a deposed kingdom is hiding from assassins and bounty hunters through silk and linen. Regardless of the way you go about it, it's better if the crossdressing is a means towards your goal.

There are tons of games that just force the character to become a girl, and a similar game with crossdressing will just end up looking like Diet Genderbender. If you can make the feminization a goal of the player, that has a lot more long term storytelling potential.

FC 0.8.5, "Nominal Estimates," up at r/freecitiesgame and freecitiesblog dot blogspot dot com. Corsets now have their own accessory slot, which can also be filled by fake pregnancies in integrated mod content by Anon. The PC can now make slaves wearing succubi outfits happy succubi or sad succubi, and can tell a slave and the personal assistant to get a room already.

Just wanted to thank everyone who downloaded the run test, there were about 30 anons or so.

At the end of the month I should have something with a bit more content. Coded a good chunk of the turn based combat today. The demo should have the three cosplays, the finished portraits and the new sprites, oh and 4 different mobs to lewd.

Speaking of which, just thought of a decent way to add a little granularity with potential prosthetics while still keeping things balanced and maybe within' FCDev's image of the setting.

First you would have your basic "medical" spec, which would be expensive, but have little to no upkeep, and look like the stuff we'll probably broadly hit in the next couple decades, neural controls, limited haptic feedback, etc. But unless you're in a FS which loves cyborgs or implants, should hurt the girl's attractiveness and profitability in sex tasks. This is for the paternalists out there, it gets a slave back on her feet and feeling better, but isn't made to appeal to other people. Probably steady devotion/trust build.

Second would be a "sex" spec, which look much more doll or even human like, maybe with some soft coating or joking about a vibration feature - but aren't as responsive as the medical spec and are more fragile. They cost more, have higher upkeep, but don't hurt the girl's attractiveness. Probably have a devotion or trust hit slaves below acceptance when you install them because you're giving them arms and legs to be better at sex.

Last would be a "military" or athletic spec, which would be the most expensive, but probably should be less upkeep than the sexual ones (if actually military design, has to be rugged). Primary purpose of these is since I assume slaves with prosthetics will be similar to amputees and either not be able to gain muscle or have much more limited muscle effects is to basically simulate or add a free muscle level with the prosthetics. The downside is a regular devotion hit because "they didn't ask for this" or "you made me a weapon" (though obviously, the limbs aren't loaded with guns or swords or grappling hooks or anything, they just perform like a very fit human).
