Finishing Silk Spectre up tonight and then moving to different titles. I'm thinking Nite Owl after this.
Starting this guy from home so bumps are super duper appreciated.
Fun Fact: I just got glasses today and I feel like I look like completely different person. How long does it take for that feeling to go away?
Loving this cover.
nice
was wondering where you were yesterday bro

Went out with a couple friends and didn't get back to really late. Didn't wanna trust my internet connection to autopost because it always screws up when I need it. Iapologize for the inconveneince.
God dammit, Laurie.
I know some might see it as pretentious, but I really enjoyed this last page.

I never noticed how much Bruce Timm's signature looks like "bitch."
On to Nite Owl and then Dr. Manhattan. Not as strong as the prior two series, but I feel JMS' set of issues were the second best with Azarrelo following and lastly Wein.

God dammit. Now it's all I can see. Like the Resident Evil 6 logo looking like someone is blowing a giraffe.

Thanks for the storytime professor. I loved the Minutemen mini. Hit me on my guts in a deep level.

>screw everybody
You know; for someone who felt ashamed about the sexuality her mother expressed in her previous career , her outfit suure shows a lot of skin.
The sins of the father and all that.
>>92675579
She looks so innocent.

at least Azarello's run has gorgeous traced art, even if shit everywhere else

Holy Copyright laws Owlman!
I don't like this one, it feels too intrusive, too unfamiliar, and it's really just a darker and edgier origin story for Nite Owl II.
>>92677864
Am i wrong in this, or did this story directly conflict with something established in the main comic? For some reason I thought I remember Nite Owl's origin going a bit differently.
Now with Nite Owl out of the way, we can switch to the other JMS series, Dr. Manhattan

Yeah, pffftright.
I wonder if Didio ever contacted Morrison to write any book of Before Watchmen?

I wonder how could have been if Morrison had written this?

Nite Owl is as normie as it gets. He's just a bored well-meaning innocent manchildren with way too much money who got into the mask stuff. If you change his relatively normal background and mostly sane mind into a heavy abuse at home story and a Miller-esque wisecracking cracking beneath the mask persona , then it just feels like it's time to shit.
That portrayal works wonders on Byron because we don't know who the fuck Mothman is. It doesn't break character, it expands upon in a realistic way. Even the other books, Ozymandias Silk Specter and Dr. Manhattan, they still feel at many points like the characters they're in the original book. I don't feel the same about the Nite Owl books.
And the original statements from first Nite Owl make it seem like it was more of a mail correspondence thing than this Batman Begins tutorship. Plus Hollis went public and opened a mechanic repair shop.

Why must i see /ss/ in everything
>>92678759
I do like the portrayal of Rorschach on this book though. My issues are mostly muh headcanon, I just don't buy this guy being Daniel Dreiberg, 36 retired.
>storytiming Before Watchmen
You're shit and your thread is shit.

What's wrong friend? Everything okay? Well don't you worry, I'm here for ya. Always.
>>92678466
As much as I dislike the Nite Owl books, I really, really like his Dr Manhattan run. I don't know why.
>>92680542
I think it's becuase JMS has a stronger handle on Manhattan as a character, that coupled with what I consider stronger art and a more interesting story setup and you have a really really good comic on your hands.

Maybe the room had two doors. What you have to say to that, doc?
So what books do you accept as canon OP?
Hope everyone enjoyed! Have a wonderful night guys!
