America is an interesting character in theory, and I'm fine with Marvel's SJW experiments the past year or so (though, holy fuck, they went too far) but Rivera might be one of the most unironically, uninteresting BAD writers to be put on such a high-profile project.

She (I assume?) can't write dialogue, she can't pace a scene, she can't put two characters together and have them act like actual human beings, her work doesn't seem to have any sort of overarching plot in the works... and worst of all, her writing isn't even bad in a fun sort of way.

She has zero talent, and that's really fucking sad.

Interjecting foreign words into other languages always bothered me in general, it's just not realistic.
I've got two friends in the U.S. that were born in Czechoslovakia, and their parents were born and raised there for over 20 years. Yet, they never insert random Czech into their speech, even when they're angry. They either speak full English or full Czech with each other, more often than not English. I've got plenty of other examples, but they stick out the most.
It's just a cheap way of netting diversity points and banking on a character's ethnicity to make them "cool" or "unique", like banking on their sexuality to define 90% of their character.

tl,dr: Marvel's tumblr-tier writers suck at making characters harder than they suck at making stories.
