I really like how reasonable eugene is in the show. For example, after he mishandle the (i can't remember what it was) and Cassandra blames him he repeatedly points out that, it was officially her responsibility, he did not want anything to do with it, she made him do it anyway.

People would probably have different opinions about Samurai Jack if Samurai Jack was a sequel series to a fantasy miniseries about Jack training to beat Aku and failing in the final episode, with some people not liking the shift to sci-fi and so on, but that's not the reality we live in, and in the reality we live in you are not watching Tangled The Series if you didn't watch Tangled and are therefore invested in Rapunzel, Eugene, and their relationship before you see BEA.

Well when they created those characters, the story was actually bit slightly different. Bastion was suppose to be shy insecure character who was forced working under Grifol and the thieves guild. I want to say that Bastion to Grifol was the other side of Rapunzel to Gothel. which helps make Bastion to Rapunzel relate and be together. Of course when Nathan Gremo and Byron Howard came on board to direct the movie, they change it quite a bit.

Or was it some random exec who didn't consult the story team? Do you consider the order of production the "intended order"? Aladdin tv series did that as well. Which is kinda bad when they did it cause an episode that suppose to introduce a character was air way later than an episode that's suppose to be that character returning to appearance. The stinky cheese prince guy comes to mind on that one.

That seems really unlikely to me. Remember that this is a show on Disney Channel so little kids are going to grow attached to her. Disney isn't going to yank that away from them just for some twist. (Sure, it happened with Hans. But that was in a single movie instead of after half a season. And it was foreshadowed when he asked Anna to get married so suddenly.)

Plus Cass was probably created so Rapunzel would have a female friend. They'd lose that dynamic if she were evil.
