Superhero movies have changed since The Dark Knight and the other Nolan Batman films. The script for The Dark Knight called for a truck to flip over and they came to the conclusion that they could actually do that in real life.

When the script is calling for Spider Man to web up a 30 ft tall Hank Pym, that isn't going to be something you can accomplish as an in camera effect.

It's apples and oranges, this shit. Not hard to figure out.
