Only 12 days until Christmas!
What's this? What's this? There's /co/hristmas everywhere.
Grab some cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, get comfy, and hang out with some /co/mrades as we share stories and get into the holiday spirit.
As previous years share your Amazon wishlist and some random Anon may purchase a holiday gift for you. Be sure to gift another Anon in return so we can spread the cheer far and wide.

Aaaaannnd saved. Thanks for that!
Random Christmas magic just happened. Had a knock on the door with one of the neighbors there. I haven't spoken to this one before but have waved to them as they live a few doors down and just never crossed paths properly. She had a rocking horse in her arms, with an button that makes noises, it's tail and mouth move. She said "figured you might like this for the little one as it's Christmas - something to keep him occupied. We brought it for the grandson but he's not visited in ages. Never used it."
How nice is that? I have a big smile on the face now.
>>88372835
I certainly do, and I can certainly try.

I know, right? I can't wait for Marvel to release the second Byrne tradeand for it to hit overstock shelves for an affordable price. Seriously Marvel, $35-40 for every classic reprint trade is nuts.
>>88377921
>>88377985
I saw one that had nothing but fleshlights, fake butts with holes, and the like. The only reasonably affordable thing was called something likepussy juice brand toy lube.
>>88379083
Well, that certainly gives that "Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again" line a whole new meaning.
>>88379657

Chronic condition mate. Basically screwed me over and is getting worse and worse. I live in pain and fatigue. Even just cooking a meal takes my breath away. Forget about going anywhere. Still, I have a surgery consultation in January to get something done about it. Cut shit out of me, get a bag on the hip to hold my waste.
I should draw a face on it. Give it a name or something.
>>88379711
Imagine if it wasn't a joke. Just imagine. Some random guy, wanting to be surrounded by a collection of diddle toys. He could build a fort out of them.
Maybe a throne.
>>88379989
That sounds terrible man. My knee had an irritation and I had to do a little bit of exercises still it was irritating to feel something when I walked. I can't imagine how that feels for you. Hope you get better soon.
>>88380066
It's okay, thanks for the well wishing. I've lived with it for the past 10 years. 5 years ago it flared up and it took me out, becoming more and more aggressive. Can't work, can't exercise, can't travel, can't do much of anything really. I'll only get better with the surgery. Multiple drug infusions did nothing so it's the only road I can go down.
But hey, could be worse. There's always someone worse out there.
Like wishlist sextoy guy.
>>88380172
Didn't a lot of people have sex toys on their list one year? I vaguely remember someone buying a lot of them for people.
>>88380172
Sounds really bad. I hope you'll get better though. Drug infusions sound pretty terrible, especially if they did nothing to help you.

Hey Santa brings both, be glad I didn't send anyone Krampus
Do we have any streams or anything planned for tonight?
Hello /co/, crypto time continues since no one solved the puzzle!
This is very likely the last prize puzzle...but ya never know.
The rules are simple. These are letter replacement puzzles that are concealing a Christmas quote/reference/lyric. The letters in the crypto stand in for another letter…or two…or three. Or in the case of today's penultimate puzzle... up to 7.
Though I try to build all of them to break down with one or two good assumptions. Still, you may want to get out some scratch paper.
Solve it faster than anyone else to win a fabulous prize!
When you solve the puzzle, spoiler the solution so that people who want to keep playing can do so. Include your wishlist so that I can gift the fuck out of you. One prize per wishlist.16F4O2JY3FFCQ

Don't make me depressed...
Hey everyone. I've really enjoyed these threads over the past few weeks (and over the past few years too). It may seem absurd, but I genuinely look forward to them and I can't remember one of them not being a blast.
Apologies for the blog-post but I just felt like scribbling this down somewhere and Christmas Cheer threads seem pretty affable places. My job is being re-advertised and I'm about to go and re-interview for it alongside another bunch of candidates. It feels weird to have my position be up in the air like this but apparently if I'm going to move into a permanent contract - this is what needs to happen.
I'm feeling quietly confident and I know that an internal candidate always has the edge.
Whatever happens, I just wanted to thank all you anons for having these threads around over the past couple of weeks. They've been a good place to hide out whilst I've been getting the Christmas jitters.
Thanks and God bless.Threadly list post from a UK anon - 289CEA8I2RAER

Isn't there an Italian Amazon? Does it have more benevolent shipping rates?
>>88401451
.com is still cheaper than .co.uk unless you're a britbong.
Anybody know how difficult Target makes it to exchange online gift orders? My parents ordered a bunch of site-to-store stuff for the kids, which is all well and good since it saves them having to spend like $50 for shipping, but the stuff they're sending my wife and I are either things we've already got or don't really need. Like, it's awesome that my mom's a fan of the Wonder Woman TV series and sent my wife the 75th Anniversary Box, but she has 3/4 of the trades included minus the Perez trade. The cost of it could easily be put toward the Perez omni or trades which are also available through Target's site. Then there's the odd fact that they're sending a copy of the newest Anne Rice vampire novel when we've never read ANY of the previous ones.
>>88401479
As I understand it, the shipping would be far cheaper because it doesn't have to be shipped as far. Stuff ordered from the UK to Greece would be substantially more expensive in shipping than something ordered from Italy and sent to Greece. Hell, maybe even free.
>>88401652
.com is still the cheapest.
.it shipping cost about 8 euro which comes off as more than 8 dollars.
>>88401521
Would you be trying to do this online or by taking things ordered online to a store?
Usually, if you have a receipt or gift receipt, it should work for the latter. It might depend on your local Target though. Exchanges are more likely than refunds, of course. The former, I'm afraid I have 0 experience with.
>>88401521
If it's a gift order then it would be in your name to pick up? So you wouldn't have a receipt or anything, but you'd probably have to go to the store and prove you're you with some form of identification I would assume. As soon as you do that I'd imagine you're free to return anything for a refund since it obviously the stuff is coming from the store and still brand new.
>>88401724
I'll probably try to exchange them in-store for a gift card we can use online in that case. We did a wishlist for the kids and I threw on a bit of Wonder Woman stuff, including the first Perez trade, for my wife to give my family an idea of things she'd like. It's awesome that they went the extra mile and got her a set instead, but, like I said, she owns all but the Perez book included.
The Anne Rice book baffles me though haha. I know my mom read the first few, but I've only ever seen the movie adaptation of Interview With The Vampire and never checked out the books.

.com is shipping roulette for us foreigners, they can be somewhat cheap but they can also decide that shipping on two books should be 60+ USD.
I've ordered almost all of my gifts and gotten them all pretty much wrapped up. Feels like Christmas is winding down.
Which probably means it's time for one last Tajador Christmas contest, eh?
>>88401944LoSH turns 60 in 2018 and I'll be sad if they don't do anything for them either. But I'm pretty sure that they didn't even get anything when they turned 50 so chances are slim that DC will do anything this time around.
And a FYI to all of the anons out there, the ungifted list has been combed through and everyone that doesn't have an address has been moved into the address warning section. so the 20 still in the ungifted bin are all good to go. Though there is still the one naughty toy anon that I may send coal to again just to get them out of the way.
>>88401980
That probably depends if it's a 3rd party seller or not, they get to set their shipping costs. Also some times there will be a mistake in the coding and even amazon shipped and sold items will be marked wrong so it will think it's a much higher weight or has shipping restrictions like a hazardous material or compressed gas.
>>88401980
Yeah, I wanted to buy something and it was like 20$ for the product 30 for the shipping. Eventually I didn't buy it.
The shipping is just too much. Another thing I remember was a t-shirt. 20$ for the t-shirt 60$ for the shipping. 60 DOLLARS WHY?

He did get that neat Celebration of 75 Years volumes they've been doing as their heroes hit milestones. I've reallly been enjoying those. Not the same as the box sets though.I got the Batman 75th set and it kind of bothers my autism since Court of Owls sits in a box and my City of Owls graphic novel sits on the shelf apart from it.
>>88401980
Maybe if it's a third party seller, but for the most part shipping for one comic book comes off as only about 8 bucks no matter how east yurotrash you are. And since the dollar is cheaper the total cost will also be lower than other amazons.
>>88402163
Yeah. Eventually I did a stamp of the t-shirt myself. I prefer making a similar design of that on photoshop and put it on a t-shirt.
So I'll be going now. I'll see ya tomorrow guys. Be jolly.
>>88402166
Yeah, but Batman and WW got them as well. I assume these box sets have other/more stories and I just don't get why they wouldn't give their highest profile character one.
I was waiting for an Absolute Owls book, it finally comes out but doesn't even include the tie-ins, just Batman 1-11. What the crap is that?!

Sssorry, sssinner. Obligatory Big Lebowssski reference.
Back to >>88408318 for a sssecond,
I'm a HUGE fan of Nemesis the Warlock, which was a major influence on* 40k. My other favoritesss include the onesss mentioned by Professssor Zum over in >>88409431 asss well asss Slaine and Strontium Dog (which I was introduced to via the RPG, funnily enough). Other highlightsss include Zenith, Shakara, and The Ballad of Halo Jones.
Top three non-Dredd:
Strontium Dogs
Nemesis the Warlock
Slaine

Jeez... Was that one I'd sent?
Wait, do you mean Rogues' Revenge? I wasn't aware the made a hardcover of Rogue War. We are talking about the Flash storyline, right?
>>88409575
Only 2000ad I've read was Robo-Hunter but that shit was great.

Oh, god. Absolutely. I can't look at Sam Slade(S-L-A-Y-E-D, to you)without thinking of Bruce Campbell, so I always end up reading the character in his voice, which lead me to reading Kidd's lines in Ted Raimi's voice.
the lists are updated, we're at 149 registered and 125 gifted, a 84% gifting rate.
Simple and flat colors, but here's a Kamala.I guess I'll use a name, since I may draw other things next week.

God damn spiders on my /co/?

Yeah I meant Rogue's Revenge and I'm not certain who sent it, it's been a while
like multiple pages look like they have been slashed
Whoops, I missed a few spots. Filled them in.
>>88410610
I never get tired of Kamalas.

again any answer RE: is it midnight tonight before the 15th? or is it the midnight right now.
Regardless here's the final version that I posted to my tumblr.
Should I post a version without the wordbubbles or no?
>>88410892
The word bubbles brings it all together if you ask me.
>>88410908
Yeah, I like the word bubbles.
>>88410850
I'm jealous of those smooth lines, anon. Just as I'm jealous of SDU's tree.
>>88410892
I like it as is.
As to the deadline, I'm honestly not certain myself, as I'm only an entrant as well.
I should probably scan the missus' pictures just in case, since she's already gone to bed.
>>88410877
POFG, you're the only one who'll probably appreciate this, but I just found out today that they're doing a WWE event here in February.
>>88402077
Well, they have a TV series now, don't they? Maybe it'll help things.
>>88411209
Synergy sure helped Grell's Green Arrow, Ostrander's Suicide Squad, Wolfman's Deathstroke, and Waid's Flash.
>>88411209
LOSH has a tv show?
Any advice for scanning light pencils? My wife only inked one of her two pictures, so one is being a pain.
>>88411181
To be fair, my linework is actually shit--I'm just okay at digital cleanup. I'm working on it with traditional ink though. Trying to get the balls to draw in ink to begin with.
SDU does have a nice tree.
>>88411228
Ha!
>>88411293
Tweak the brightness/contrast. There are nice ways to do it if one has a tablet, but then you might as well ink, so I'm guessing it's not what you're looking for. Curves and levels can also do the trick if you have Photoshop.
>>88411331
>Tweak the brightness/contrast
Yeah, I've been messing with that already. Thus far, this is the best I've gotten. It's a shame too, if the contest ends at midnight, since this one's actually my favorite of the two she did.
Even so, she says she's just happy to have been inspired by these threads and I am too. We've both been in a bit of an artistic rut since October.
>>88401906
I'll send something your way tonight. Have a good day, anon.
>>88411385
Oh, god. I didn't realize that you can't even make out half the picture after I messed with it...
>>88411385
Do you have Photoshop? If you convert it to pure black and white, there's a setting in the layer effects menu that you can tweak to help things.
>>88411550
>>88411550
Alright, I'll give that a shot. I'm seeing if I can't color her other entry a bit in PS now.
>>88411740It's just not kinky enough without the mask...
>>88411740
Good luck, man--her entry's another cute one!
>>88411181
Nice. There's a show here on Monday the 26th, but with all the money I've spent this month and going to ROH Final Battle I'm tapped for wrestling for now.
>>88411331
What type of ink are you working with?
>>88411794
For the traditional stuff? Just some simple felt tip pens. I'm interested in exploring fountain too, but I can't justify buying 'em until I've improved more.
Now that I'm better I had to spend a big chunk of time catching up on stuff.

I'm back now though. What'd I miss? How is everyone doing?
>>88411209
They don't? There's a Legion show by that one is Marvel and Supergirl has only featured a butchered version of Mon-El so far, which hopefully is everything they will do if they're not going to try to be more accurate than that.
>>88411755
Update on the color progression before bed. Going a bit quicker than mine did, that's for sure. I may see about doing a Christmas color variant of the outfit if I have time.
G'night all!
