I plan on storytiming all of Scott Snyder's Batman series starting with his initial run on Detective Comics which culminates with the Bloom arc.
Prior Bat Epic was the Miller Series which can be found.

The art in this series is nothing short of incredible.
Oh shit! As if swimming wasn't dangerous enough.
If possible, I would like
Bumps are greatly appreciated.
Gordon is expertly written in this series. Should have known Snyder was planning on doing something with him later.
This series really accentuates the fear factor of Batman. I love it.

Thanks man.
So that happened.
Interesting...
This one page perfectly summarizes the relationship between Gordon and the new Batman.
I know this may be too much, but I've gotten into a habit of storytiming after 7PM for the past week and I've found it to be an enjoyable activity.
If I storytimed something throughout the day would people read or is that time period ultimately not worth the effort? I thought I can storytime Smallville Season 11 during the day and Batman at night. If people promise to read I'd have no problem doing that.
Fucking hell
This is one of the series where I feel the backup story (Jim and James Jr.)
God damn it Jr.
>>87782081
I'm not sure but that looks like an egyptian vulture. Probably is with all the vultures before
Dick and Babs are perfect together. Glad they tied the not in Convergence. That's my canon ending for them.
I like that this technology is reference later in Snyder's mainline Batman run. Dick wears it in the first issue.
I have a giant comic boner for secret societies involved in dubious deeds.
Jock and Francavilla are so damn good for Batman stories.
I can't wait to see Jock's arc on All Star
IT'S THE CROWBAR!!!! Last time we saw this guy was when Damien knocking the ever loving shit out of Joker in the interrogation room.
Oh shit.
Hell of a way to end an issue.
>>87782541
JOCK IS GETTING AN ARC ON ALL STAR! That is seriously the best news I've heard all day. All-Star is easily my favorite ongoing Batman title now. The King Book is good, but I smile like an idiot every time I pick up ALl-Star. Also it's a different Two-Face story from what I'm used to.
I like that the Detective Comics issues were structured with the main story for the first part and the Jr. story as the backup. Made every issue an absolute treat. Black Mirror instead lumps all the Grayson and Jr. stories together.>>87782541
>>87782675
Yeah, he's after Romita or the one after that.
Well that's disconcerting
Definitely channeling some Miller Bat vibes in the armor department.
The Riddler jammies just top off a brillaint sequence.
The mantle of Batman fundamentally changes a character whether they realize it or not.
I have no idea how I would respond if I was in Gordon's situation. Don't think I would be as cool as him.
As someone that has taken a class in psychopharmacology, this was a more than decent explanation.
We will never get more of this dynamic.
Jr. is one creepy little fucker
>>87783564
I could be grasping at straws here but is this the bridge Jr. was thrown over?
>>87782151
I enjoy later night storytimes.
Keep it up, OP.
>>87782431
Agreed
>>87782431
Dick and Babs are a forced couple that was done because of synergy and took tons of retcons to barely work. It easily make both characters worse.
It's easily the thing that most set Dick back.
>>87782203
It was such a huge missed opportunity that Superheavy or even Detective didn't include James Jr at some point.
He showed up for an issue in Eternal, and I don't think he's been seen since.
>>87783769
Could be that Snyder doesn't think he has any more stories to tell with that character. Which is a damn shame because there was a bit where I REALLY wanted more of the character and was briefly satiated by Ales Kot's arc on Suicide Squad.
>>87783798
Maybe Seeley will do something with him on Nightwing (although King would probably write him well otherwise.)
Well there's something you don't see everyday.
I just wanna know how they got it into the lab.
Suddenly I have a Jaws flashback.
Dick missed an opprutunity to say "I've got a crushing feeling of dread right now."
Another reminder why Dick is a fantastic Batman.
>If I had a sense of humor.
You're hysterical Grayson.
>>87784387
bump
Psycho James Jr. and the Court of Owls are the coolest ideas Snyder has contributed to the bat mythos. Everything else is pretty meh and has been done before by better writers.
I feel like Dick had an absolutely insane year as Batman. ANyone else would have broke in these circumstances.
Tiger shark is certainly a man of few words.
All I hear is "See my vest! See my vest!"

Ruthless
Looks like we're gonna get a hard answer on whether Junior's on the up and up.
Looks like Jimbo was right to be suspicious. Jr. is a little turd.
Interesting to see Snyder's first take on writing Joker.
I'm glad to hear Barbara isn't putting up with Jr.'s shit.
I feel like Snyder would rather write Joker as a serial killer than as a nuanced character. This Joker is literally like a virus. His madness transmutable
I wasn't aware that Jr. has a working knowledge of chemistry to pull this off. Guess he had to be doing something when he's not murdering people.
This is awesome op, many thanks
And now Jim's suspicious are finally confirmed.
Being Barbara Gordon is suffering.
Someone's coming.
Joker's speech is so erratic in this series. Makes me wonder what Snyder was trying to achieve with this particular incarnation. He feels like a more derranged/broken version of Morrison's Joker.
Also it's clearly obvious that Joker knows this isn't "his" Batman.
Very meta right now Joker. It's almost like he realizes with the New52 is fast approaching and he's "prepping" for the big change. Also the use of the word friend is another clue that this Joker is definitely the one we see in Death of a Family.
>I'm about to get an "A" for effort.
You'll always be my favorite Batman.
And this is where we end for the night. We'll pick up with the final issue of Detective comics tomorrow and then immediately jump into Bruce's journey in the New52. Hope everyone has enjoyed these threads.
>>87785085
Thanks a ton OP
Snyder needs to go back to writing Dick
>>87782838
I think Jocks next and then Murphy.
>>87783769
after that he was in suicide squad.
i read all of this - thanks
thanks
thaaaaaaanx
>>87782443
And my phone's new background
>>87782675
Yea isn't the Mr. Freeze arc bringing all three of these guys back together Scott, Jock, and Frank?
>>87783588
I believe that's the idea
>>87784919
Favorite Joker Image of all time
>>87782934
man, their dirty talk is pretty extreme
>>87785748
this
thanks OP
Niccccce.
Don't forget to include that short story of that guy who was kind of a Talon
>>87788383
Also hopefully OP storytimes Gates of Gotham. I haven't read that one yet but it's definitely Snyder's brainchild.
I hope Seeley tries to rehab James Jr. and Sonia Zucco. Both were great ideas originally, and Simone and Higgins shat the bed with both of them.
>>87784631
>>87784638
Dick can prep-time with the best of them.
This really was the most competent we've ever seen Nightwing.
>>87788531
You couldn't be more right. Here's the order.
Detective Comics
Gates of Gotham
Zero Year -- If We're going Chronologically
Court of Owls
City of Owls
Death of The Family
Batman Eternal
Endgame
Batman and Robin Eternal
Superheavy
Bloom
A bit ambitious but I think we can do it.
>>87790754
Wouldn't technically Zero came before Gates and Detective
Considering that Flashpoint rebooted shit at 5+ years into the n52verse
So zero year would have been alt timeline 4 years before Gates.
Then again that is way too complicated.
>>87792054
You're right lol. I think its best just to separate into PreFlashpoint/PostFlashpoint
Snyder Bats isn't nearly as terrible as everyone makes it out to be.
>>87793410
It's a massive circlejerk. It is repetitive in some ways but still enjoyable nonetheless.
