Starts out really strong. Teeters a bit near the end, gets better during episode 9 and then falls flat on its face when the ninjas take over the plot.

How the hell did they manage to cover up Frank's family existing or his military record?
There's no way that people that knew him, like friends, neighbours and fellow soldiers, wouldn't talk about him to the press. And wouldn't Frank have pictures of his family on Facebook?

While ninja fights are fine, they do get a bit repetitive. The biker fight is so good partly because it breaks from the norm.

watched until episode 7, so far EP 3 was the best(got franked hard) with 6 being a close second, liked the Elektra and DD action.

I love Flash but let's be real, it's often thinly written and prone to repetition. Most of the melodrama with the supporting cast is not very well done. It's lifted up by the inclusion of veteran tv actors like Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L Martin, but the women are painfully underwritten and it's intentionally quite episodic.

Daredevil has the budget and with season 2 had ironed out a lot of the shortcomings from the first season. The dialog is laced with subtext, the characters have focus and drive, the subplots are better integrated into the story, and the framing of when and how characters appear is better planned.

Elodie Yung had shined as Elektra from her first scene and Bernthal's scenes with Punisher were perfectly done in-character.

After episode 5 it looked like it was starting a new series all over again, and while it ended up great, it wasn't until episode 8 or 9 that it reached the first four episodes' quality. I liked how overall they made Karen play the bitch part of always being unknowingly against the antagonist without making her go full cunt like Laurel or (to a lesser extent) Iris. She really had both her feet on the ground and it was cool.

The way they made Elektra be a black sky was weird. Was the other kid another black sky? Do thye worship multiple ones? Or are they destined to kill their predecessor everytime? Was Nobu a black sky?

Karen was pretty damn good this season. I was pissed they took forever for the big reveal but I'm glad we got it.

Everyone who was singing Frank's praises was right. Frank was fucking phenomenal. Matt was solid in the first half of the season, but I feel like he was only there to hit things after meeting Fisk. That entire prison arc was godlike. Elektra was decent to good, but I never disliked her. Foggy, on the other hand, got annoying, but understandably so. The show could always use more Marci, and like I said earlier, Karen was good.

Given the Luke Cage teaser, I'm not sure what to expect from the show, but I like Colter. I'm looking forward to Cage, Iron Fist, and Defenders. Afterwards, I wouldn't mind Moon Knight/Punisher before getting into Season 2/3

What did you guys think about the rooftop debate between Frank and Matt in episode 3. Matt was all about redemption and a flicker of goodness in people while Frank was too gung-ho with killing criminals.

I feel that if someone is about to commit the act of murder, rape, etc., then they're free game. Frank has a point as well as Matt, but they were both too extreme for my taste.

Nah. 1-4 are an arc. 5-13 rebuilds from 0, but hits it's peak around 8-9 (which is as good as 3/4), and then layed around there until the end. But yeah, those 1-4 isolated are the best bunch in a row for sure. I can't believe that the reviewers singled them out of the first 7 has the worst, especially since they never see the payoff of episode 8.

Yeah, sadly the finale totally drops the ball in that regard. We needed some kind of really crazy team-up with Frank, Matt and Elektra and they didn't provide that. Frank popping a couple dudes from a rooftop across the street isn't the capper I was hoping for. Still, thought the high marks this season (Eps 3, 6 and 9) were high as fuck. Bernthal is based in that role.
