I picked this up the other day from the bargain bin and have been really impressed. The mysteries are tight and short and Silver Agey as fuck, Infantino's art is as fantastic as ever and the Dibney's relationship is really unique and depicted well.
Can anyone recommend other great cheapo Big 2 volumes that may get overlooked? Stuff from:
>Marvel Essentials
>Marvel Ultimate Collections
>DC Showcase Presents
Not the obvious Kirby F4 or Claremont X-Men runs.
For the DC showcase Presents
Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld
Captain Carrot
The horror and war anthologies can be great, but pretty sure most of them are out of print and expensive
I have these showcases and they're all pretty good
Hawkman 1 and 2
Amethyst
Spectre
Phantom Stranger
War that time forgot
Green Lantern 1-5
Jonah Hex 1-2
also Moon Knight looks great as an essential
I can't believe how good the Showcase Jonah Hex collections are. I would consider them essential to any collection
So /co/ what's your favorite /co/ YouTube channel?
I just discovered Comic Pop and their Back Issues show is the funniest shit to me.
Used to like Comicstorian but his voice and personality gets to be a bit much after a while
ComicsExplained is great too
Are there any that are... how do I put this... professional?
You know, something that isn't more or less somebody talking in front of a camera about a comic book story and their opinions. I'd like something that goes in-depth in their analyses and reviews, but doesn't just drone on with a tangent. Know what I mean?
Like, who would you say is the TotalBiscuit of /co/?
>>78935345
>TotalBiscuit
Ew.
OP, who is the JonTron of /co/?
>>78935600
Not OP, but the no-budget, unfunny, head-in-his-ass "JonTron of /co/" is most definitely Linkara.
Did it end too soon?
Yea 9/11 was tragic
>>78934967
Considering that it lasted only a couple of a seasons, yeah. The show was good.
>>78934985
9/11 never happened it's a myth
We all love King of the Hill here, but is anyone else glad it ended when it did? I struggle to think of even one episode I dislike from the majority of the show's run, but I can think of several awful episodes from last couple seasons right off the top of my head. I think even one more season longer and it would have been another Simpsons

/thread
Luanne died.
I got real into Tom Petty over it.
on one hand, I'd be interested to see Hank deal with the problems we're all facing now
on the other hand, they'd probably portray it in a way that makes the SJWs look like the ones in the right.
You know the drill. 5 episodes. 5 days. I feel too much like shit to come up with an intro.

God dammit people why are there 4 threads up at once? Who made the other 2 not-talkback threads?
Anyways alternate titlecard
>>78932999
We can all agree that this is the best animated comedy to come out in recent years, right?
absolutely not, stopped two episodes in. i'm tired of characters being given to non voice actors
rick and morty devastates this POS on every level
>>78932653
Are you saying that anyone on Rick and Morty is more qualified than Will Arnett or Aaron Paul?
>>78932808
at least they are voice acting and not just.. talking
How do you guys feel about the PPG reboot designs?
AYE AYE EYE
YOUR EYES HYPNOTIZE
OMG WHO ARE THESE SEMEN DEM ????
>>78932550
I hate them.
They suck.
They look like complete shit drawn by Animation Domination.
Good lord what did they do to Lisa this last episode?
>>78932492
What did they do?
They made her hot, if you know what I mean...
>>78932586
Bwahahaa.
Can we have a general weirdness in comics thread?
>you'll never be Sir Isaac Newton having sex with a reptile alien thing
>>78931874
Weird comics are best comics.
>you will never preform surgery on yourself
>>78931874
>>78931951
Gonna need source on both of these.
>>78931951
>you will never travel through time to kill your future self for the benefit of mankind
We talk a lot about the actors and actresses that are comic book fans and/or love playing comic book characters in movies/tv/cartoons/whatever.
But which ones clearly hated being part of the superhero experience and pretty clearly don't care for it at all?
Pic related, for one. She doesn't even bother to hide it.
>>78931796
>JLaw
>Portman
>January Jones
>Hopkins as well
>Elba is starting to
>Weaving
>Rourke, but this is more a result of hating the director
>>78931961
Hopkins liked doing the "Thor" movies, but not enough to do a third.
Glenn Close made it very clear that she only did GotG for the money.
She didn't hate doing the movie, but there wasn't much passion for the project. Apathy, probably.
Draw something /co/ related out of this blob.
>>78931670
Ireland?
>taking dog for a walk
>grab random hoodie because fuck you, it's January
>coming home, three cop cars pulled up on my street
>ask cop what happened
>"Back off, Kaine, you're not in Houson now."
>wat
>realize I'm wearing my Scarlet Spider hoodie
>have to circle around to the other end of the street due to "police business."
It was weird.
Ben has the hoodie.
>>78931789
>>78931856
That would be neat if not for the faggot-ass "mask" hood. Fuck, why do they keep doing that?
well
>>78931618
Is this fanart or really happening
>>78932523

>>78931618

Any new comics on Carnage after his deal with wanting to be a hero and having that spat with Nova?
Anyone? I cant be the only one interested in this guy
>>78931678
Yes. It's called Carnage.
>>78931380
>this artwork
