Why did Skeeter testify against Doug during the rape trial?
Did their friendship mean nothing to him?
>>83840360
I must've missed that episode. But maybe Skeeter believed Doug did it, and felt more strongly about keeping him from doing it again than about their friendship.
Dear Journal,
I don't know if it's me, Doug, anymore.
As you no doubt remember from my previous entry Bluffington is no longer as I remember it. Everything outside is dark and I don't remember the last time I saw the sun.
The silence in the house is oppressive. The air is heavy and collects in my lungs as moisture from a fog. Every time I look up at the bulbs appear to glow fainter and yellower. Three of them have burnt out in the lower floors. As you will remember, journal, Judy is locked in the basement. She was hammering on the door loudly and moaning in that once-human voice for hours, but now she has fallen silent. I dare not unlock the door. Once, and only once, I have tried to listen at that portal; I heard a very faint but raspy breathing of a bloody throat and the touch of fingertips on the wooden door. Judy - or what was Judy - then slammed the door with what I presume were fists and released a cacophony of shrieking. It took ten minutes for it to fall silent again and I cannot stand to provoke it again.
Mom and Dad said they had to look for help and tried to make a run for it. I closed and bolted the door after them, as they had instructed, but still heard the screams - human and inhuman from outside. I never heard the car's engine start. The cracking and slurping continued for an hour. I have tried to comfort myself with Porkchop's company, but eventually - for no reason I can decipher - he went mad, running in circles and foaming at the mouth, barking at every exit to the outside. It was a blessing to us both when he finally vomited up blood, whined once, and fell over dead.
Roger was asking for it.

ITT: Characters who get a lot of shilling (meaning, characters who would often get unwarranted praise by the story and other characters).
>I like her because she is brown, and /fit/ and can beat me up and I wanna lick her feet and armpits
Literally every fucking Korra defender ever
>>83839857
Couldn't you have expressed that without blatantly misusing retarded memes, thus making the clarification totally unnecessary since it would then be the main content of the post?
Also, I agree she was shilled pretty hard.
>>83839857
Mandy and Gaz from Invader Zim are massively overrated and were the worst part of the episode at least half the time they were on screen.
Heathcliff rides a horse.
>I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Heathcliff; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Hi /co/,
So i'm finally starting to get into comic and i want to to get some recommendations from you guys.
So far i've read:
Sandman v1 (Pretty good)
Black Science v1 (meh, liked the art and concepts but the writing was kind of shit)
Red Son (Pretty great considering i'm not that into capeshit)
Prophet v1 (Probably my favorite so far, really enjoying they under explaining the universe)
Whytches v1 (meh)
Tokyo Ghost v1( Same problem as Black Science but with better art)
Hellboy v1,2,3 ( Pretty amazing, up there in my favorites)
Neonomicon ( was looking for lovecraftian stuff but this didnt really do it for me the way Hellboy did)
Decender v1,2 (amazing, up there withprophet and hellboy)
Anything else out there like prophet? Also maybe some more Lovecraftian inspired stuff?
>>83839226
If I was you I'd finish Sandman & Hellboy.
>>83839256
Definitely will. Going to my local place on Saturday. Hellboy has been amazing and it seem to have a lot content considering all the spin off series.
It's been kind of hard to get into the Sandman art aesthetic but i'll keep going for the narrative.
>Not into capeshit
I get it. But I'm glad you're not totally unwilling to read it. There are interesting ideas in it for sure. The Superior Foes of Spider-Man is like a Guy Ritchie movie with supervillains.
Everyone should read Judge Dredd. Here is a good story to start with.
Peter Milligans run on Shade The Changing man is fantastic.

>Sandman art aesthetic
I agree. I don't dig the art in the original Sandman. I don't like the art in early Hellblazer either.
This is cool
No that's Quicksilver
Eh.

More half answers and puzzle pieces.
We now know definitively that the silver wont just end up in Alderode, but was meant for it from the start.
We know a little more about Bell at least in the form of some concrete plan for the Silver.
But we dont know who's pulling all the strings? Is Bell really at the top of this? Who in Alderode is helping this alone? Could this have to do with Bowdie's attempt to avoid rebalancing?
Theres too damn much going on here.

Well that explains how Jivi's mother is going to come into the plot.
Alright.
You're tasked with creating a basketball team, made up of /co/ related characters.
Who would you put on your team?
CHALLENGE MODE: No Super Powered Heroes/Villains.
too easy
I enjoy reading stuff like the Ultimates, Young Avengers, and Marvel 2099 because it feels like things are moving beyond the status quo of the 616 universe.
But apparently a literal God, Franklin Richards, is preventing any progress in the Marvel Universe----the Convergence, Civil War, etc-----from having a lasting impact, good or bad (including this Captain Hydra fiasco).
Why is this allowed?
>>83837900
probably not
Because people always go back to what they're familiar with and what's familiar tends to sell.

I like to think the line in Cap 2 was a refrence to the old Captain america movies where Steve steals 2 cars.
No Marvel or DC superhero from Earth could defeat him in an armwrestling match.

Nah, Obelix' powers have limits. I think he had to get an extra sip sometimes in order to lift something really heavy. Superman-class characters could do it.
It'd be a fun match though.
So with this Marvel games Universe apparently being a thing starting with Spiderman, what are your hopes for some actually decent Cape games? (That aren't fucking Arkham)
What genres/gameplay features would work for which heroes?
>Thor: Hack and Slash game like God of War
>X Men: Same as the old X Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games
>Luke Cage: Beat 'em up style game
That's all I got
