A musical based on Don Bluth's Anastasia is headed to Broadway in 2017. Will it give Spongebob a run for its money?

Once Upon a December is GOAT so I'm hyped

It's apparently very visually pretty on stage.
I listened to an audio bootleg and all the new songs are good. Anya's new song is gorgeous. And there's this haunting song that uses a melody from In the Dark of the Night as a wink wink to the only song not to make it into the show.
some more production photos.

What universe is this? Have they appeared in comics before?

Justice League Gods and Monsters.
Pretty great animated movie. Has a few tie-in comics, but they originated with the movie itself. Go watch it.
>>84129405
Anyone know if we'll get more of this? I mean i heard something bout a continuation coming this year, but i've also heard that was cancelled. Anybody know? I'd love to get more of this.

No, fuck you Tim you greedy piece of shit.

A proper sequel is also coming out. This is just to resolve the cliffhanger.

New Psychonauts? Where?
Why wasn't there more Boomhauer episodes? I only know of like 2 episodes that focus on him.
>>84129105
same reason Pom Pom and The Poopsmith don't get a lot of screentime. There's a pretty serious limit to what you can do with the unintelligibles. even The Cheat is more erudite than Boomhauer.
>>84129480
Nogga the cheat is the best character.
>>84129105
Because he's a joke character.
I personally liked some of their chiptunes,

Yeah a general sounds great right now.

They're working on a video game OST right now, the kickstarter's up as we speak.
The game is pretty much what you'd expect, lots of wacky quirky kids of all races and sexualities having wacky adventures with a heavy undercurrent of DEEPEST LORE.
>>84130647
Really? What's that about, huh?
Was this the worst fucking part of the comic?
Name a worse scene than this.
>>84206920
these dad scene
>>84206920
The last part of Homestuck was weird. It felt like it wasn't canon, as if it was some kind of non-official fanfiction. It doesn't help that it was almost entirely outsourced.
Official merchandising trying to sell that Vriska is part of the Meteor Crew, or that Davekat is the most important ship in the comic, doesn't feel genuine at all.

>the only place where Batman uses his detective skills to deduce stuff is a lego movie
Where did things go so wrong?
So this really seemed to upset people.
That Batman stopped short of killing Superman when he asked Bats to save Martha.
They complain that the motivation is " Der my mum's name is yur mums name no kill!"
Am i the only one who took it as the surprise from hearing his mother's name come out of this alien's mouth shocking him into stopping short of murder? Something he didn't want to do in the first place?
And then it was further defused when Lois showed up and started talking all this shit that humanized Superman.
That's how i saw it anyway
The idea was that Batman viewed Superman as an alien monster, and in that moment he realized Superman is a normal person who loves his mother and that she was in danger, a situation that Batman alson identified with.
It was just really really poorly directed. Plus Batman's transition is excessively abrupt.
Also, I'll have to call bullshit on him not wanting to kill Superman deep down. He wanted it. He's a certified murderer in the Snyderverse.
>>84128337
Ah i'm not sure he wanted it. I think it was a hard choice but once he made his mind up he got ready to do it right
>>84128337
There's that, but it's also the fact that with Superman at his mercy and about to be killed, Supes is begging for his MOTHER'S life rather than his own.
I think it's a really great way to break Batman's preconceived notions and assumptions about Superman's fundamental character, but yeah the whole "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAAAAAME" bit is pretty silly and breaks a lot of the tension in the moment.
>Also, I'll have to call bullshit on him not wanting to kill Superman deep down. He wanted it. He's a certified murderer in the Snyderverse.
As you say, Batman assumed he was alien and operating on alien morality that did not take into account the value of human life. Assuming that this alien morality makes a threat that is unable to be reasoned with, the only way to end that threat is to put it down through force. At the end of the movie, Bruce comes to see Superman (and really the other "metas" he finds through Lex's files and Wondy's help) as allies rather than threats to stopped.
Is this show worth a watch?
I'm not a cartoon freak, I'm just a casual viewer. I'm not really interested in the opinions of the anons that have already flooded the 5,672nd Voltron General with 300 images of their favorite robot lion colors fucking. I'm just curious if this is a well made show that is mature enough for an adult to enjoy.
It's okay. Adults enjoy it, but it is a cartoon about children flying around in giant robots fighting aliens so mature isn't really a word I'd use.

there's a lot of ways to measure that
art style? check. fantastic.
animation quality? definitely. no static barely-moving anime here. but very few moments that go way out of their way to overanimate things either.
the cg? damn good.
mecha style? .. could use work in my opinion. a little too modern and western. it makes a lot of changes to the golion design but then it leaves out other, much more obvious changes (like making the lion's muzzle not be a big baseball cap hanging out in front of the face)
characters are good. but if you don't like the modern equivalent of seinfeld, that sort of naturalistic home movies sort of dialogue, you won't be happy.
it has some good humor
the writing is not going to draw you right in with its depth, but it doesn't have any bass-ackwards stupidity either. doesn't contradict itself.. gives the viewer some respect.
interestingly, it's just one long story. the episode endings are arbitrary as shit, even the season ending was a complete abrupt cliffhanger.
performances are good. worldbuilding is -okay- but space seems pretty sparse, and for the most part it's just the same seven people in the same spaceship.
>>84128330
>animation quality? definitely. no static barely-moving anime here.
If you don't know anything about anime then don't bother bringing it up.
DC or MARVEL
DC for comics, tv shows and cartoons, Marvel for movies.
Console Wars are dumb.

So apparently Volume 4 comes out October 4 and pretty much what everything that has been shown is point to fact that there is a time skip of minimum a year.
Great, just fucking great.

Second episode has her being gangbanged. AND EVERYTHING IS SHOWN.

Another hour of my life wasted on this show
How is it that Daffy's character has adapted so much better to modern times than Bugs?
Childhood is when you idolize Bugs, Adulthood is when you realize that Daffy makes more sense.
>>84127989
Bugs the spot light was given to him, and Daffy had to earn his.
dont fuck with the duck
If Billy Zane had played Lex Luthor in Dawn of Justice, i'd probably have given the film a 9/10.
>>84127791
They're not looking for someone to do a good job, they're just looking for someone popular.
Michael Rosenbaum would have been perfect. It'd still be a shitty movie tho
>>84127844
Jesse Eisenberg isn't really popular, he's probably just as popular as Zane.
