What were they thinking with this special?!

Best ship.
Marie is a shit.
>>84522234
Riding on how successful the Christmas Special was, I imagine. Probably rushed.

Have you never wanted to kiss a girl you knew was dumber than you who had a muffin top and buck teeth and wobbly tits she barely contained in her discount bra and had strawberry red hair and pale skin you just wanted to run your hands over and over? But you drifted apart because neither of you knew what you wanted relationship-wise and she joined the military and got married though you're not sure if she's happy and now you'll never know what could have been if you'd only given it one more shot?
Guess we're doing this now.

I miss the 90s cartoons.

I liked how they did this, but I honestly prefer the actual music videos to these
I didn't even realize Dr. Worm had a non-nickelodeon music video until like a month ago

What Marvel characters are mutants?
>>84521651
Basically the X-Men
>>84521651
It sounds like they are creating OC
What happened to those nice tame adult cartoons? Daria, Duckman, Beavis & Butthead, The Critic, Mission Hill, The Oblongs, Home Movies. Now when we get adult cartoons, they end up being Family Guy rip offs of, "Look how offensive we can be!!!" with shit like Mr. Pickles, Brickleberry, fucking Sausage Party.
Why'd adult animation get so extreme? I imagine if a Duckman-esque show were made now, it would get decent enough ratings.
Non comedy-based adult cartoons were never really a popular thing, unfortunately. The closest thing we have to it right now is probably Venture Bros.
>>84521469
Decent ratings wouldn't be good enough.
REMEMBER THE 90'S?
If I've never read comics before but I'm interested in them, where should I start. (I would prefer non-superhero comics, but it they're fine too.)
From the beginning
This is like asking how to start watching TV. You need to give people an idea of what you like (fantasy? sci fi? crime? something else?) so they can help guide you. You can't just ask how to start.
Eventually you do figure out what creators you enjoy more and then branch out to their other works though and grow your own taste.

I like to believe that Rose found her in the kindergarden after she was left behind.
Disney parks thread?
What are your favorite attractions? Parks? Got any stories about visiting?
Counts as /co/ because Didney.
Waited for two hours to ride Toy Story Mania when it opened. Right before I got on, I got a text that my grandma died. Still, ride was fun as hell!

How about a thread about superhero cistumes and designs in general?
What is your over all favorite costume/desgn?
Which one is the coolest?
Which one is the lewdest?
Personaly, I think 90s X Men are absolutely great, at least when they are well drawn
>>84520858
Maybe it's just because the cartoon and MVC combined to cement them in my head but I agree, I liked that iteration of costumes, mostly because they're just so distinct and memorable.
I think the push for more muted colors and tacticool stuff isn't nearly as fun.
>>84520858
>Which one is the lewdest?
Lewdness is a result of the artists intent more so than the costume itself.

>Which one is the lewdest?
Namor.
How do you guys like Rebirth so far? I really enjoyed the Rebirth one-shot (first time reading DC in ages) and finally just checked out Green Latern and Batman Rebirth. They were alright, but I'm completely sold on them. They definitely feel a little more comic-booky than Marvel, not necessarily a bad thing.
Probably gonna check out the first issue of each at least, I do really like Tom King's Sheriff of Babylon. Is there any other good series I should be reading? I though the connection to Watchmen was really intriguing, has that plot been picked up anywhere?
>has that plot been picked up anywhere?
Not really. Titans has Wally and I think he's going to try to do something but the main Rebirth plot is meant to be addressed over the next two years so it likely won't be substantial, very slow burn.
Flintstones isn't Rebirth but I'd recommend it.
It really seems like DC learned a lot of lessons from both the New 52 reboot and the failures of DC You.
First of all, they're staggering their releases to give people time to pick up what they're interested in rather than doing everything at once and screwing over readers who can't afford to pick up a dozen issues on top of their other pulls for a week.
Secondly, they're focusing on well-known characters that they know will generate a lot of hype and interest. DCYou and the initial New 52 rollout gave us a lot of great off-the-wall niche books with lesser-known characters, but they didn't gain enough traction with readers to stay alive very long. While we're lacking a variety of C and D-list characters for the most part, we've still got a nice tonal variety and diversity of styles across the Rebirth titles we've gotten so far. Whether it's straight-up cape action with the Superman books, a more sober, gritty street level conflict with Green Arrow, or even buddy-space-cop comedy with Green Lanterns.
And even then, we are getting the Young Animal line, in addition to a bunch of neat looking miniseries that focus on lesser-known characters, so DC hasn't seemed to abandon them entirely.
Right now here are the books that I've added to my pull-list
>Aquaman
>Flash
>Batman
>New Superman
>Green Lanterns
>Green Arrow
I want to like Titans but I just can't get past Booth's artwork.
>>84520473
I need to check out New Superman, sounds interesting.
I just finished Jessica Jones
Pretty cool. How are the alias comics?
>>84520085
Better than the show.
The question is, is that a compliment to the book, or an insult to the show?
>>84520085
Alias is pretty good. Pulse sucks because getting rid of the MAX label and trying to integrate the book into the larger Marvel canon neutered it.
>>84520085
Why is Kristen Ritter so hammy in this?
Like holy shit it seems like she watched Casablanca and decided to emulate the MC.
If there was no supporting cast this show would be unbearable.
Any Requests for a Doctor Who comic page-by-page dump?
Eh, I feel like it anyway, I'll start with Room with a Deja View.

What are your opinions on this chica /co/?
Good? Bad? Does she deserve a solo or is she better as a team player?
She's literally got no character. She's either pulling powers out of her arse or rolling her eyes constantly.
Why is she on Ultimates?
>>84519544
I find her annoying for the most part which is weird because I usually like bitchy characters
Maybe she doesn't get called out enough on it or I don't like the books enough to like her
>>84519590
they needed a way to teleport around the multiverse. She brings nothing else to the team.

Goddammit, Gotham
How much more shit will Gotham ruin?
Wonder Woman made her stunning debut in Zack Snyder's not so well-received Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Even though that appearance gave us a brief glimpse of Diana's powers, her solo film - which is set to hit theaters June 2 of next year - will showcase all of her talents! Actress Gal Gadot was tasked with playing the Amazon princess, and in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, she revealed how she felt when she put on the iconic costume for the first time.
>"I tried it the first time after they cast me for Batman v Superman for Wonder Woman. It was over the top for me," Gadot said. "They told me I got the part and two days later I found myself in Michigan, in the cold, again, doing the fittings for the suit and it was overwhelming. It felt like this beautiful dream. And it was very exciting and I was very, very happy and it felt right. It felt like even with the surrealness of it, it felt normal." Playing Wonder Woman isn't an easy task. In the comics, our heroine fights for peace, love, and justice. If you're worrying about DC changing up her personality (like how some say Snyder did to Superman), you have nothing to worry about. Gadot reveals that the Amazon will indeed carry those traits, and more.
>"I feel like Diana is really accessible. It’s very easy to relate to her. She has the heart of a human so she can be emotional, she’s curious, she’s compassionate, she loves people. And then she has the powers of a goddess. She’s all for good, she fights for good, she believes in great. I want to be her. And in Wonder Woman, she has this naiveté in her. It isn’t stupid, it’s magical. I would want to be naïve like that again."
In Patty Jenkins' upcoming film, Diana will often be paired with Steven Trevor (Chris Pine). According to Gadot, it is he who teaches Wonder Woman about the intricacies of mankind.
>"She’s a young idealist who’s been taught that the world is very simple: it’s black or white, bad or good. It’s how she was raised. It’s what she believes in and there is something charming about the simplistic way in which she sees the world.
>" She then added, "But once she falls in love and starts her journey with Steven Trevor (Chris Pine), he educates her about the complexity of mankind. There is no such thing as only good and bad, black or white. It’s complicated."
>"I think it’s important. It’s a story about a girl becoming a woman. I think only a woman, who has been a girl, can be able to tell the story in the right way."
"I’ve been very active all my life. I was a combat instructor in the Israeli Army. [Laughs] See, everything [in my life] has led to me being Wonder Woman. I gained a lot of body mass after I was first cast in the role. I danced for 12 years and I played a lot team sports: basketball, volleyball. But now I lift a lot of weights. That’s new. I feel much stronger then I was. I feel it on my posture and the way I hold my body. I feel good. I started out very, very skinny and because I gained body mass, I really enjoy the way my body looks… better then I did before. I enjoy the curves. I enjoy the strength, the back, the guns. Now I’m aware of my muscles. And I like it."
>Wonder Woman as young idealist
I like it. Could this film be good?
in what comic does it mention the symbiote is in love with peter parker i completely forgot
>>84518991
I think it's been mentioned that the first bonding leaves the deepest impression
Plus it keeps the spider-logo despite having no reason to
Plus "come back to me" worked a time or two
Plus it's a bitch
>>84519018
Yeah, I love it when they give "symmy" a personality.
How many people have fought off a symbiote's influence?
What's the difference between wearing the Carnage symbiote and being possessed by Cletus Kasady?
