The nightmare is over.
>Brian Michael Bendis has announced he is leaving the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book title, but Marvel already has a new creative team in place to succeed him. Bendis, who also writes Spider-Man, Jessica Jones, Infamous Iron Man and Invincible Iron Man, has written the series since February 2013.
>"It was a couple of things," Bendis explained to ComicBook of his decision to leave the title. "Number one, I had an end story that I've been building to and it's time to unleash it. Number two, there were other projects offered to me that I was like, 'Oh, I do want to do that!' and something has to go. Even I have a bandwidth cap, even though no one in Marvel thinks that I do."

I'm not really used to "Kid Cass" yet. She's been in the comics again for a year now and it's pretty clear that she comes at a very different skill level than Pre52 Cassandra Cain. It's true that she hasn't gotten to star in too many comics, outside of a couple issues of Batman and Robin Eternal, she doesn't get to be the lead ass kicker.
Being on the bottom rung of characters in Detective Comics gives her different responsibilities to the story. She can be bad ass on occasion. But other times she'll have to job pretty hard. And with the thin page counts, her kicking ass is usually done off panel. She doesn't explicitly have the "body language" fighting ability, but she's written as supposedly an exceptional fighter. But other than that she doesn't offer too much to the Bat team except that she's another kid with nothing else to do that's good at punching.
That said there's some neat things they get to do with this new version of her. They're clearly playing up the Cassandra/Stephanie friendship whenever they can pair them up for a scene. It's different here though, like Cassandra's position is of the Kid Sister character now. Her history and feelings aren't written loudly, they're taking her "speaking little" idea to heart and it's going to be interesting to see how they stretch that into a full story in February.
TL;DR, Kid Cass is cool but I miss "mostly Competent" Cassandra. But they're probably gonna make Kid Cass gay for her friends.

If you skip straight from season 5 to Turtles Forever, you won't even know you missed Fast Forward or Back to the Sewers (the two really bad seasons). You can pretend they don't exist without any impact.
Season 5 is kinda bad, but it ties up most of the loose narrative ends and at least doesn't go full retarded like FF and BttS. Just end there and go right to Turtles Forever.

I actually kinda liked season 5, but too many deus ex machinas and fake out deaths hurt it. Also, it should have been as long as previous seasons.

Season 1 was good but the ending was a bit anticlimactic. Season 2 ruined the lore and is fucking garbage. Season 3 was nothing but missed opportunities and season 4 was decent, but too little too late and didn't have enough time to explore its good ideas.
Thats my opinion anyway, but any Avatar is almost always worth a rewatch for the animation alone.

Just got the English releases of the first two volumes today. They're a lot better than I was expecting, given that particular publisher's tendency to pick up licenses based on what gets popular from fan translations and promptly shut those down with C&D's.
Overlord is a load of fun in general, as silly as it can sound on paper. There's no better series starring an evil skeletal lich out there, that's for sure,

It's a good funny episode but it really does seem like Trey and Matt were just being grouchy old codgers because they were out of touch with youth, and with every year Pokemon remains relevant and popular this episode feels all the more out of touch
