Think of superhero. No peeking before you choose one.Got one in mind?Your hero's nemesis replaces their mind with his own, attempting to take their place and be a better hero than the hero was.
What happens? How does the villain's approach to fighting crime differ from the hero's, and is it really superior?
This is the kind of thing Sinestro might actually try. He'd just get his ass kicked out of the GL corps again.

Well because of that image my mind immediately went to Spider-Man, and we all know how that ended.
Didn't make any fucking sense how NOBODY noticed Otto's mind in Peter's body, but the costume was pretty dope.

SheHulk
I think Titania is her nemesis iirc?
her legal career goes down the toilet while getting more violent/sadistic (when she isn't taking a dive for feminist reasons). Not sure if she stays with Absorbing Man or uses her new identity to slut it up with lower standards than She Hulk's.
What are some cool vidya references in cartoons and comics? Gif related is from the powerpuff girls.
Steven Universe has tons of them, can't post any because I'm at work right now but just watch it if you haven't

Tonight around midnight is when Iron Fist is hitting
Are you all ready?
It had some nasty reviews, but lets hope those guys are tasteless and it's actually amazing
>>90765797
It only has nasty reviews because Danny's white
It's Netflix MCU it can't be anything LESS than amazing
>>90765797
At best I'll be pleasantly surprised that its OK, but I am not getting my hopes up.

It's possible the reviewers didn't get their payment and someone at Marvel's billing forgot to issue it which is why it's got negative ratings
Or they went overbudget and couldn't pay them in the end
At this point, anyone still thinks the leak wasn't real?
missed the stream Hows Cheetah
dose she fight like wolverine or Sabretooth?
What did the leak say? I missed it
Also will customization allow me to give aquaman a beard?

absolutely nothing.
Gurren Lagann was the biggest and loudest loveletter to the Super Robot niche, while doing its own thing in the process.

Rocko's Modern Life. Even has the final battle against the Anti-Spiral over the universe in the end and Heffer dies the same way as Simon.
If I want to read Ultimate Marvel, am I fine just reading The Ultimates and Ultimate X-Men? I read the first volume of Ultimate FF too, and it was pretty good, so I might get some of those too. Really not interested in Ultimate Spider-Man.
So, am I fine reading those two or three titles?
>reading Ultimate Marvel without reading Ultimate Spider-Man
Why?
>>90764827
I know it's hailed a some kind of masterpiece, but I never liked Spider-Man and I didn't like the first volume of Ultimate Spider-Man.
Therefore I won't read it.
>>90764870
What's the point then? The ultimate universe is shit.
Would you find all these crappy new "replacement" characters at the big two more palatable if they followed traditional superhero values rather than looking and sounding like webcomics characters that wandered into a superhero book? It's kind of an issue with a lot of them, especially the ones at Marvel. Even established characters catch this when a shitty enough writer and artist come along, like say Mockingbird or Squirrel Girl. New characters like Spider-Gwen and similar stand no chance.
>>90764217
The problem I've had with these characters is that they're not being brought in as new characters they're being brought in as replacements to old ones. Which they're obviously only doing for headlines and not because they have interesting ideas for these storylines.
>>90764217
Should have given her a huge ass to match White Power girl's huge rockin' tits
>>90764217
What was Gwen Stacy's character in the first place?
What was Power Girl's character in the first place?
Mockingbird, Squirrel Girl... these are all meme characters. They were rebooted to keep creeps like you on 4chan from liking them anymore.
Notice how you didn't mention any of the male legacy characters like Blue Beetle, Ghost Rider or Brown Recluse Spider-Man.
Yeah, that's right.
You even skipped over /co/'s favorite writer's pet boy, Miles.
Face it OP. You only hate books like Wasp and Hellcat because they are female protagonists. I bet you're busy jacking off to SuperSons /ss/ r34 as I type this. /co/ has always been the gayest board rivaling even /y/ and /fa/. Just come out and admit you are gay for Dicks both Ryder and Grayson and stop pretending your issue with the fem-legacy books is the quality.
If Power Girl was a maga-cap sporting redpilled
meme-spouting Ben Carson token minority hire like Wally West you'd be hooting and cheering in thread after thread calling him /ourguy/.
Also, those boots are disgusting, OP. no amount of brown thighs can fix that abomination.

>Instead of listening to the complaint, he writes the 1980's equivalent of an blog post to explain to his audience why they are wrong.
If this is not the proof that the universe works in cycles, I dont know what it is.

Does Japan really do fight scenes better than the West or does the flash often deceive the eyes?
Yes. Some people just don't want to accept it because of national/western/white pride.
>>90763458
Like all things, despite what /a/ or /co/ want to believe, there is a solid balance between the way the east normally animates and how the west animate fight scenes. Like take all the fights in Sword Art Online or some other generic anime, it's just like OPs webm. Everything is floaty, the background is zooming by to imply some great sense of speed (honestly this might as well be derivative of shaky cam), and the fight doesn't feel either real or entertaining in a choreographed way. But if you look at stuff like Cowboy Bebop or even early Naruto, everything feels well paced, all the kicks, punches, gunplay, magic feels 'intended'; and it doesn't feel like its completely separated from the world or episode like OPs probably does.
Avatar does the same thing with a lot of their fight sequences. Some anon might come and say Avatar is basically a western anime and that's exactly what I mean. It's a good balance of the two styles. Even if you compare something more powered like Justice League, they didn't have to rely on a bunch of flash to portray great strength and speed. Wonder Woman versus Black Canary, Huntress, and Hawkgirl is a good example of a very well animated fight without any flash.
Generally yes. And not just in animation, but every other media as well.
It's not even exclusive to Japan either, eastern media in general has a lot more dynamic and engaging fight scenes than the lot of western media. Asia has all sorts of kung-fu/martial arts/wuxia/what-have-you entertainment that has even influenced western works, to the point where you can tell that if a western work has good fights, then it was probably inspired by an eastern work. Not to say that the western world doesn't do good action at on its own, as the dozens of 80's action flicks can tell you.
So what do you think of Infinity Train?

Corgis are a fad animal. Fuck this shit.
>>90763401
I liked it. The pilot was pretty rough but it has potential. The format could lead to interesting and fun adventures with a good writing team.
>>90763401
It has the potential to be great, but I feel it can easily go to shit.

>“Vastoki was Prince Kassardi’s first wive, and the youngest. She wore only one ring and kept her fingernails expertly trimmed. Her dress was a short cut, her vela plain and good for traveling, and she wore eye glasses. Her teeth were filed to points, and she kept sparrow feathers tucked behind her ear. She was a master marksmen with the long rifle, with which she had trained her whole life, so that on her wedding day she could swiftly assassinate her rivals. By the time it had reached her wedding day she had hunted five men in practice and was thirsty for blood.
