My field allows trip mines, booby traps and other force multipliers(no punji pits). Other than Claymores and Thunder B trips, does anyone know of any products or rigs I can use to kill my fellow man?
>ironically, western tacticool snowflake weaonry has become the cheesy mainstream garbage of airsoft
>an artisan Kalashnikov-centered producer outclasses competition
can this contemporary sport get any more dank?
It didn't outclass LCT, LCT simply moved towards the modern russian stuff, SR3M, VAL, Vityaz...
I love how you guys hate what's mainstream, if AKs and Gorkas were mainstream you would be wearing multiglam and all that stuff, admit it /asg/ you are the hipsters of airsoft.
>tfw no one wants to do UN kits because the blue helmets aren't tacticool enough
fuck this gay sport
Also I apparently decided to roll my ankle at the field today its pretty swollen.
>: a contest or game in which people do certain physical activities according to a specific set of rules and compete against each other
>: a physical activity (such as hunting, fishing, running, swimming, etc.) that is done for enjoyment
its not that same as yours, or the next, or the one after that. Who provides a reasonable enforcement of those rules? Airsoft is a hobby you do with friends, much like a LARP. Its a game for sure, not a sport.
I can think of no less than four different games calling themselves football.
No uniform rules there. And hell, what you play on the school field and what you watch on TV are only superficially similar anyway.
More maintenance, most mags have 1/3 the capacity as the average midcap, firing too fast or on full auto can cause cooldown and decrease performance momentarily, parts tend to wear out faster than AEGs, and buying gas is an extra expense.
You're going to be paying lods more ($30-60 per mag versus $5-10) for mags, magazines have a capacity of ~30 rounds and are a pain to reload in the field, have to deal with mechanical issues and wear, maintenance frequency is on par with actual firearms (Could be good or bad, take it how you want to), not as effective in winter weather and more Northern areas (CO2 alleviates this problem, but is more expensive), and magazines cooling down from sustained fire can cause multiple things like a sluggish bolt or low FPS.
They're still fun as shit and in all honesty I prefer working on GBBs than I do AEGs.
Also keep in mind that not every GBB will have these problems, or will have them in different magnitudes.
My M14 can dump a fully charged magazine's worth of gas before any noticeable cool down effects, but it's made by WE so every key part is cast pot metal instead of milled/forged steel.
>these are the kind of shitheads you have to play with and against
why even bother
Guize i've just purchased a Amoeba M009 (in two tone blue because britfuckistan) as i cant be bothered buying parts for my never ending M4 and i just want to play army men. Anyone used the ares amoeba before?
They are insanely popular at my site. The sales guy cannot keep them in stock.
You might struggle to find a decent capacity battery that actually fits in it, but other than that they're damn good raifus. My brother has the AM-014, two mates have the 13, and one has the 002 CCR thing.
Anybody seen good custom paintjobs on any LMGs?
I've got an oldschool M60 (mostly steel construction) and the shitty paintjob is flaking. Gonna strip all of the metal parts and use a rust resistant paint.
I've been digging some of the high visibility paintjobs going around, but I'm on the fence about a lot of things.
Was thinking about using pic related as inspiration.
Yeah I don't like mainstream, but not because I'm a contrarian, I mean use what you like. But, am I the only one who doesn't like the M4 because its not a comfortable weapon?
All the weight is in the front, so when you one- hand it for any reason its a pain in the wrist.
As far as Multi-cam goes, sure it works, but damn thats alot of money.
Well I'm glad you'll never get the better VSS or a VSS at all.
And no pso yet, just finished drolling the Wolverine Inferno engine in it.

GMR really do know gear/loadouts though. everything they do reflects function which is useful to emulate; i got one of their kydex nade holsters (for free) and they're really nice for fast access to tornados.
no fat guys in this one
I found myself always holding the magwell even if I had a vertical foregrip, this gives a similar feel to what I'm used to
All and all I'd prefer a hand stop kit but
Hand stop>afg>vertical foregrip
>holding the magwell even if I had a vertical foregrip
I do that myself as well, and I keep wondering why the hell I even have a vertical grip on it.
Are the new APS Silver Edge Gearboxes any good? I've thought about getting the ASR 115 Spyder.
I'm glad people are seeing the superiority of ATACs camo.

If you only do that you'll already have 75% done. Just try to walk or exercise around 30-45min each day and that's it. Have a couple of pieces of fruit for breakfast, a good meal and try to have lighter foods for dinner. Avoid bread.
If not multicam what other setups do you use?
I usually use pic related when not doing a Milsim
But I would love having some snowflake camo just for lols
Really? I need to do some more digging. They have a working SVU AEG that shoots at 400 fps.
I am thinking about buying this AK for $175 (picture) Thoughts? I am looking for a good AK (preferably CYMA with real wood) for around $200, any recommendations besides this one?
what type of look are you going for? i love my cyma ktr
I am looking for a nice looking AK-47 with real wood and full metal. I want it to look like a traditional AK-47 with a working charging handle for cool factor. I really don't want an AKM, and that EBB AK-47 is the only one I can find that is actually an AK-47 and not an AKM.
Where did you get that adapter? We were designing one but gave up after someone mentioned they existed already
The Blue Force Gear Ten-speed MP7 chest rig would be perfect for what you want.

>What's the funniest thing you heard during a game?
Last week my team and I got pinned down by a SAW gunner, and there was another group of guys not far from us stacking up not shooting. My friend yells out to them.
>HEY! I DIDN'T BRING KEEPADS TO GET FUCKED IN THE ASS!! MOVE IT UP!!
My friends and I are the only ones who yell non-tactical shit at other players when we go to our usual field, because it's always filled with a bunch of socially awkward loners and/or groups of Asians who don't speak English.
Last week my buddy got pinned and yells at us about it.
>I NEED AN ADULT!
His brother is 16, and brought a friend about the same age and they both responded to him.
>Can't help you
>Not old enough
A few games later there was this 12-year-old on our team, sitting basically in spawn, and we tried to coax him into joining the fight.
>You roasting marshmallows over there?
>It's more fun when you pitch your tent with friends!
Could use some help. Looking into getting a cheap chest rig/vest here in Europe. Which one of these two would you go for?
I'm using a CYMA cm045a (an AKS 74u) but I really have no problem with one vest being able to hold more AK mags than the other.
Also since I only use a MARPAT uniform at the moment, should I go for black or OD color, keeping in mind that any other pouches and belt will also be in that color.
I suggest spending a bit more and getting the pantac one
And if you are going for that one get it in tan it looks way better.
Please someone help.
I've checked all the gears for broken teeth, as well as the piston assembly and tappet plate.
Everything is fine.
No noise when I pull the trigger.
How do I troubleshoot that?
>TFW can't jihad infidels cause day of rest
The foam around the frame (As in, not what's against your face but the strip that goes around the top, bottom, and sides) is closed cell instead of open cell to keep debris out while travelling in a vehicle. At worst it'll make them fog up a bit more but can always be removed.
One type of gun per role, or impression. Having multiples of same era, same role guns is silly. How many mk18mod0's with rails, lights, PEQs and a paintjob do you need? But if you have a xm-177, m-653, black m4a1, AND a mk18mod0? That's a nice collection of ar-15 BBguns dude.
I have been using they Systema 2007 PTW clone and it works flawlessly once you upgrade the obvious parts (that you'd usually replace on a Systema anyway).
Their SR25 is also good once you upgrade it.
ACM is meh, KA has some good stuff and some lemons
Just built my first frankentorque
On an unrelated note, I'm running a battery that's giving me 150amps now (11.1 30c 5000mAh).
Do I need to upgrade my fuse considering it's specs are "250v 25amp"? Or can I get by with the 25amp?

The same AK, G&G AK104
Purchased October 13 2013, the gun has just recently hit it's two year mark
Between those two images there's been a lot of work, aside from clear external wear and modification the gun has undergone a ton of internal upgrades

>Aluminum double o-ring cylinder head (and cylinderhead teflon mod)
>SHS 13:1 gears
>SHS aluminum sector gear delayer chip
>nice big donger battery, as mentioned in other post 11.1 30c 5000mAh
>Frankentorque 32TPA (chaoli armature and ZCI ht neo motor can)
and I'll do the r-hop sometime next week, I wss putting off getting the silicone foam for the flat hop until just recent then left it in a friend's apartment.
With this set up I get instant crisp trigger response and my rps is around 25, before the frankentorque I was getting double shoting on semi and roflrps definitely above 30 and not enough to keep up with my cheap CYMA magazines.
>I'm leaving the blowback in
>I hope I can get a solid stock to house the battery but if not I'll have this ugly stock bag forever
>cheap CYMA magazines
Cyma midcaps have always fed perfectly in my AK. At first I had SHS HS motor + 13:1 and now I'm running 28TPA motor and 16:1 DSG.
Yes, I know SHS HS motor + 13:1 was retarded.
Mine must just be old, I never leave rounds in them but I basically never clean them, maybe only twice since I got them at the start of 2014.
I've been to a few big games where I would have them loaded for hours without use and lots of smaller games where they're basically just being dumped and refilled every hour.
It could also be my hop up, I'm using a stock G&G metal one, anything special with your hop up? (by the way I'd really only start getting hiccups near the end of the magazine, in the last 30 rounds or so)
Well that sounds lots like your magazines dying. I bought mine late in last year and I got other guns to play with as well so maybe you've just used them more. You could try stretching the springs and cleaning the grooves in them, but that's usually just a temporary solution. I wouldn't lube the magazines though. Changing your hop up chamber probably isn't going to change much.
I've been searching for a bit on where to buy a damn Glock 17.
I know there's the WE one, but I cant find any people that stock it that will ship to US. Anyone know a place to buy it or any other companies that make a Glock 17?
Some days you feel like carrying on the global revolution of the proletariat.
Some days you just want to be pimpin'.
Thanks, I might look in to it. I'm pretty much fine with feeding now though, and I think I'll be primarily moving in to a semi-only play style soon anyway.
Why would you be opposed to lubing them? The process I used was spraying some silicone spray where the bbs come out/are inserted then filling the magazine will old .12 grams a couple of times then discarding the .12's.
Aside from the r-hop, I'd like to eventually shorten my trigger pull but it seems like an expensive or very skilled process depending on which route you go down to do it.
>we'll market slightly wider chest rigs as tactical girdles and make billions of Jew dollars
I'm planning on getting a Galil for reasons. Lack of aftermarket parts has made me put interest in DIY systems. Anyone have experience with drilling/gluing rails onto guns? How do you go about it without tearing the gun apart?
This is the G&P.
Note that the receiver isn't as long as that Anon's.
>mfw pic related is not cross-brand compatible on the new CYMA gearboxes and I just need one for mine
It took me an entire hour and some work with a knife to fit this bastard.
What's yours, some kind of mosfet thingy?
About to purchase KJ Works CO2 pistol from eHobbyAsia from clearance. How reputable is the KJ Works as a maker? Also, some KJW guns take both CO2 and Gas mags so does this mean it's okay to shoot with both gasses as long as you keep the gun clean and inners lubricated/maintened?
Apparently they have APS offer but is this some general offer that is marketed towards everybody? Anyone else had these kind of things? I've never really heard of APS.
Originally was looking these: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/kj-works-kp-05-hi-capa-full-metal-od-gbb-pistol-gas-and-co2-1.html#.VkEc0pcnPzI
>not using multicam
what've we got here?
don't worry, the Russians are here
no really obese guys this time, but I hand picked these for you /asg/
I wouldn't ever get an APS pistol, but both of the KJW pistols are solid. The KP-05 is a hi-capa with TM compatibility and the P-09 is apparently very popular in Europe and has aftermarket parts out for it as well. Just be mindful about getting it grimey and dirty.
Avoid APS. They have some successful AEG products, but I've not seen any good pistols out of them.
Pretty much only KJW has made them of any quality, but they've been making them for a good while. WE used to make CO2 glock mags, but they would blow up their guns. The KP-05 will take pretty much every hi-capa mag out there.
I want to use a computerised MOSFET but I don't know which one. I'm running a pretty typical G&G M4. What are the current suggestions?
I'll mostly want it for LiPO voltage detection, short protection, and a better trigger response.
I'd rather want one that fits entirely in the gearbox but I would have space in the buffer tube for one with an external module.
You should first buy 10:1 or 12:1 gear set and a Frankentorque motor though. Those two are going give you a lot better trigger response. With Frankentorque motor, you don't really need to worry about draining your battery dry either.
Marui Hi-Capa that has an extremely shitty WE slide.
Get a KJW or KWA for your first gun. WE has some good looking guns at a good price, but they're utter shit when it comes to build quality.
The difference is the U-18000 is about £65 delivered and the P&J is about £25 delivered. Is the U-18000 really worth over double the P&J?
I'm not looking for a ricer tier gun, just something better than stock and suitable for a computerised mosfet.
Anon what the fuck. You're buying a 100$ mosfet but 55$ motor is too expensive?
P&J is chinese manufacturer. They don't have proper QC, so you may or may not get a good motor. From my own experience, they have neomagnets and very high torque. The magnets might not be shimmed as well as with the ASG motor. The armature most likely isn't balanced as well as the ASG and the armature may wobble a bit. Two out of three you can fix yourself, but the ASG is still a little bit better. It's not twice as good, but it's definitely the easier solution.
>I'm not looking for a ricer tier gun
>I want to use a computerised MOSFET
These two don't really fit well together.
Shit adds up, if there was a cheaper computerised MOSFET that didn't catch fire I'd go for that.
By not ricer tier I mean I don't mind spending a few bob on one or two nice bits, but I'm not going to throw £££££ at systema parts or HPA
Buy GATE MERF 3.2 then. It's cheaper, fits in your buffer tube and lacks couple features like precocking. JG Blue is bit faster but still has plenty of torque. Buy a second hand chaolin motor for 5£ and build a frankentorque if you want more torque.
So does anyone use the mp9, I really want one but I need justification for $43 per mag, its going to be my new sidearm.
It's great, but not worth of becoming a primary. If you're buying it for a secondary you're laughing. The RoF is too high for a primary and you can discharge a mag on a warm day in around 1 second.
They are fucking cool, if you get the suppressor and add a longer barrel you'll have an incredibly accurate gun.
and if you want to play like a nigger you can always BRRRRRRRRRRRAP a room
I think it might have been a pistol that slipped through the cracks of QC. The mag release basically fell out of my gun on the second reload, and the slide stuck a little out of the box. Seems like it's fixed now, when I disassembled it to put the release back in I guess I accidentally solved the sticking.
That only works for the railed one. He's going to need one of these.
</script><noscript><META http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL='http://www.popularairsoft.com/files/imagesnew/Natech_DelTac_Kydex_MP9_Holster.jpg'"></noscript>
It's Marui based instead of VFC. so it's going to be out of spec when compared to the real one and upgrades can be a pain. The stocks are also prone to breaking.
I would personally spend the extra $40 and get the CM040C which is easier to upgrade, has a stamped steel body, and has a stronger stock trunion.
Jesus Christ I need to get this gun, with options like these. Now I just need to figure out how much to charge for wedding photos to see of I can come up with the money for one of these, like 2 spare mags and that middle holster 60$ holster
I can vouch for the accuracy of the 040 series, I have a 040C and it shoots incredibly tight.
It's annoying, all I did was change the stock hop rubber and it shot like a lazer, have tried to get my other two AEGs performing similarly, but just can't seem to do it (not far off but not as consistent as the 040C).
their page said something about real steal compatibility, which I guess is more or less the same as 1:1 size. Real steal compatibility isn't anything special for airsoft. Weight is no big whoop either as there's plenty of airsoft replicas with more or less the same weigth as their real steal counterparts. I don't know about other features, please tell me.
Also 1:1 size and weight, weight loaded or unloaded? A full real steal magazine adds more weight that an airsoft one.
It's not "more or less". It's exactly 1:1 in size. Official Systema PTW mags are made so they weight the same as a loaded mag.
Real steel compatibility sure is special. Try fitting anything real steel on a regular AEG without doing some modding before.
No, real steel grips won't fit for obvious reasons but they're the exact same size. AEG grips feel humongous after using a PTW for a while
fuck that shit nigger. I have a KSC mp9 and rock it as a primary with 5 mags. it's really really really fucking neat-o.
it's so easy to 3-5 shot burst with it though. Use heavy (.3g+) bb's with the extendo barrel and suppressor and you can just rape outdoors as well.
full auto actually eats those gay little springs on the nozzle up though. you'll have to replace them fairly regularly if you enjoy auto, but they're cheap.
do it. DO IT. I have never used a GBB as fucking fun as this. it's LOUD AS FUCK, has excellent (50+) bb capacity for the mags, the gas system is fantastic, the mags hold tons of gas...etc.
buy used though. mags up here in canada are like fuckin $75 each. i bought a package of the gun/5 mags/extended barrel/two bcg's/mock suppressor/4 fastmag pouches for $350 and some shit in trade off the local used gear forum.
I do admit, though, for aftermarket shit the mp7 wins. All the seal impression kiddos fuel the market for it versus the mp9. I just hate the mp7 ergos and appearance, and the rof is very significantly lower than the mp9.
a bunch of retarded features that people think they should have on a non-recoil replica rifle. you can easily build a gun with better range/rof/trigger response/internal lifetime/externals/etc for literally 1/4 the price of a bone stock PTW.
if you want all of MUH REALISM shit a GBBr (or daytona gun) is the way to go.
>not having a national organisation that has rules that are standardized across the entire nation for every game

well done america
This is a slow board, we don't need a new thread
>underbarrel shotgun never
That's what I want one for, as a sidearm in addition to my rifle, I play field airsoft so having something I can spray with as I run into a building would be nice
If you want to err on the sensible/utility side, it's not a bad idea to get multiple upper receiver/hopup/barrel combos for your m4.
If you have the tools/savoir faire, you can overvolume the piss out of your short barrels for cqb in order to meet field FPS limits. My stubby barrel is 375fps but the gun shoots 430fps on a 363mm standard m4 barrel. Note this doesn't work if they chrono for joules using .36g or so, as it will show the joule creep. Just don't use heavy BBs in cqb and it's functionally the same.
after a while you get bored though of utility-based m4s. that's why i got my little dakka blaster.
I can't believe how good this Fakepul sling is. I got it from some Chinese airsoft site for the equivalent of £5 + postage and it's amazing.
None of the buckles or clasps have broken and the webbing is weirdly smooth and soft meaning it really doesn't snag on anything like a chest carrier, it does mean that sometimes it likes to readjust itself but I've been mostly able to overlook this.
Pretty much use this sling and nothing else now.
Some guys from Long Island/Queens came through my local airsoft place in Milwaukee last week. They were pretty damn bro. No idea if they're back out east yet, but they rolled up to the field as their first stop after driving sixteen hours out to here.
About to get that KP05 and would like to have some extra mags as well. EhobbyAsia is currently out of the original 29rnd mag, but KJW makes 31rnd HI Capa mag for KP08/KP06. Internet gives info that all HI CAPA double stack-mags made by TM and KJW fit but will the 2 BBs make the mag peek out from magwell a few stupid inches? Or should i buy just the original 29 mag from amazon and not to risk the incompability. Reviews from KP05 say it takes TM and KJW HICAPA and possibly other parts but just little spooked about first purchase.
Plenty used to be on the Island, but after the rise of StrikeForce and the closing of Coram the player base drifted to younger kids.
There is an NYC airsoft community but it is heavily Filipino.
No places to play in the City itself.
SFS (Deer Park) sucks now since most of the good staff got real jobs. New owners just bought it, but we'll see if it changes anything.
Cousins Coram was forced to close a few years ago, ruining everything for ever.
Cousns Riverhead is pretty shit.
High Velocity Paintball is 100% speedsoft.
You have to go upstate or out of state.
Negative, I stopped playing locally before they opened, still looks very speedsofty to me.
I'm an OLD School (+10 Years) player, I'm still used to the old Coram 4ish hour games. So game that lasts under an hour feels shit to me.
Last time I went up to Zulu24 I barely had time to scout and flank before the bullshit minigame was over.
Yeah, you're such a serious player that you don't go playing every weekend, and only put on your gear every once in a while to take a quick pic and let it collect dust in the closet
I've played at cousin's when I used to play paintball back when I was in middle school. Loved the half day scenario games. I got into airsoft about a year ago by playing at my 12 year old nephew's birthday party
I dunno dude. I'm just looking for a place to play at, I don't really own a hpa system and to be honest I don't really care.
From what I understand, there's a stronger community over in New Jersey. I'm from that side of the Hudson, but I moved before I really got into airsoft. There's also stuff happening over on Long Island based on the guys who came in last week, but NYC pretty much a no-fly-zone. As long as you keep it in a car between the city and the field, whether you choose New Jersey or Long Island, you shouldn't have too much trouble.
