Your choices are either Tokyo Marui or JG, and then you need to either hack up the upper receiver and somehow mount a Weaver rail, or just get a flat top M1913 rail. Have fun.

You have to overhaul it if you want it to last. Several guides exist.

V2 gearboxes are prone to cracking, so you'll want to round the corners of the cylinder window and add sorbothane to the cylinder head. There are some shock transfer systems available too, but they're sketchy at best.
Because you're going for M150, you can't just throw in any high torque motor and hope for the best. You'll want a motor with actually a lot of torque if you want your magnets, mosfet and batteries to last. I'd recommend either ASG U18K or a Frankentorque. With 18:1 gears you might be okay with JG Blue and similar 22TPA motors. You might want a bit beefier mosfet too. For battery, I'd go for at least 2000mAh 30C to be on the safe side of things.

>>

>M150
Not quite. I already own an SVD which shoots 169 m/s and has a m140 spring installed. So, maybe I can make something like that with an M16
>>
>>2357144
>meme force 1911
>>
>>2357460
It's an M170 spring in M140 box. Buy springs from proven manufacturers like Guarder or Prometheus if you don't want to gamble the output energy.

I bought two 5€ springs labeled M170 by SHS and M160. They both chronoed the same in my DSG gearbox and ended up being something like M180 or M190 springs. SHS Springs are all over the place. One M120 chronoed 1,3J while the other shot 1,6J. An M140 chronoed 2,15J with short stroked sector gear so its true rating probably closer to M160 than M150.
>>
>>2357564
>It's an M170 spring in M140 box
Nope, it's russian-made Barrel Lab's M140 spring.
Of course, I've also used some additional upgrades, like 6.01 barrel and aluminum nozzle.
>>
>>2357680
This isn't supposed to be very hard concept to grasp for non-americans. The M is supposed to stand for metres per second with 0,20g bb. It's normal to vary couple m/s to one way or another, but when the difference is like 10m/s or even more, it's pretty much a QC issue.

Try thinking it with something simple like buckets for an example. If you were to buy a bucket which was advertised to have a volume of 10 litres, but actually holds something between 8-14 litres depending on the batch due to unmotivated labour and nonexistant QC, would you still consider it a ''10 litre bucket''? This shit happens all the time in Airsoft. Midcaps advertised to hold X amount of bbs actually hold Y. Most 16:1 gears are actually 17,2:1 and some of the 13:1 gears are 15:1. Stock 18:1s are closer to 19:1. The chinks can't even count right. Most ''polycaronate'' pistons aren't made of polycarbonate.

any gas mag will eventually fail on you. C02 mags fail alot faster then green gas mags because C02 will freeze your seals and dosn't lube your gun.

Solution is lube+gas cartriges and removing cartrige while you're not on the field.

Which is a ww2 cheaper kit:
Wehrmacht w/ Kar98k or STG w/ luger/p38
British Paratrooper w/Sten or SMLE w/ Webley
>>
>>2361168
German, probably. SMLEs are mostly vsr conversions these days, upwards of £400. Evike did a shit one and I think KJW did one a couple years back but it was upwards of a grand.
>>
>>2361168
Don't buy a WW2 kit, unless you're into fun and masochism,
For some reason I think that brit-para kit would be cheaper, since the revolver is not very expensive and Sten is cheap as fuck. Of course, if it's easy to find proper clothes in ur cuntry.
>>
So how do you all play airsoft without feeling like a complete tool? I tried going to an airsoft place with a friend from high school after I left the Marine Corps and the shit was mind boggling. All these kids with like plate carriers and K Bars and LWHs and shit, shouting "TANGO" or whatever. Like, you're shooting plastic bbs at each other, why spend so much money on ballistics shit?

I really don't understand this hobby.
>>
>>2361200
Find a chill site, basically. At mine the safety briefing always starts with 'remember that you're running around the woods with toy guns playing soldier'. Nobody takes it too seriously, we just have a laugh about it. Apart from Spetsnaz. But he's basically our Stig at this point so everybody loves him anyway.

Unfortunately it's very luck based. You're a likely to find a field like that as you are one filled with 14 year olds running polarstars and shouting CoD catchphrases. You just have to keep searching.
>>
>>2361191
Why would it be masochistic?
>>

Here, in Russia, buying a helmet might be not only an attempt to look more authentic, but to have some additional safety.

$480 USD for the kit from BlackBlitz, and another $366 for the gun from a UK based seller (JD Airsoft)

>How long did it take to install the kit?
I got the kit on a Monday and did it over the course of a week, ie each day I got home from work I would do about 4-5 hours worth of fitting it. All said and done it took me about 18 hours. It would've taken less time if this wasn't my first time doing it though.

>Did you have to tinker a lot to make the kit fit inside the upper and lower?
I had to remove some material from both the upper and the lower when fitting the kit. I have a drill press and a dremel available to me. The drill press isn't completely necessary, but the dremel definitely is.

Stock is stock. I would not expect the moon right out of the box. Your buying the excellent base unto which you build a smokin awsome gun more than a performer as is

I guess what im asking his how much do you REALLY get for spending that much money?

If it shoots over 150 feet out of the box I can make it work. Im trying to find a used upgraded one for around 300 bucks and I found one but the kit used seems kinda shitty.

Anons said that gorkas feel like tactical PJs
I did not believe them

Having just shoveled a metric fuck of snow while wearing one, I can safely say that the hype was entirely justified. Also, why didn't I get one earlier

/blogpost
>>
>>2365280
I guess look at it by asking if your serious about sniping. If u just are casual about it than no. A clone with a brass barrel for 170 bucks will be just fine. But if u want real performance. You need the good parts with the good air seal and a stainless steel barrel. Which costs what it costs.
>>
>>2365292
I've never "sniped" I've always been apart of Standard Infantry or support gunner. It just seems like im constantly put in situations where sniping would be really fun or effective or both
>>
Can I ask how far away targets are roughly when u say there are situations u could use a sniper? Because there are limits that only 300 bucks can get you. I'm just saying that to hit targets with an airsoft projectile.... once u get to the rely of shooting 100 yards you need quality parts and precise assembly
>>
>>2365302
Around 175 feet or so.
>>
>>2365294
I'd say just an out of the boxer clone is what would be your best option. It's cheap and if u don't like it you didn't loose much
>>
>>2365305
There is no Stock VSR that can do range like that out of the box. You gotta build em up to make that happen
>>
>>2365315
A Marui AEG could do that out of the box if it's hopup was tuned right. If he buys a Marui and tunes the hopup he could probably hit 200 with some .28s
>>
>>2365320
Yeah mabey if it came with the stainless barrel but I don't care what anyone says. An airsoft gun with a brass stock barrel will never get that performance. Ever...

Question= Is there a belt system similar to this I can get in tan? I've scoured the web and it seems the only company that makes something like this is Defcon 5, an italian company. Specifically I like the molle all the way down the shoulder panels and the buckle under the neck. No other company seems to make a system like it. I'd get it in multicam but the patterns are different.

Thats why I suggested it. Systema is a meme brand that people say is good because some LEO agency used them as a training gun and it was one of the first AEG systems that had last round bolt hold open and other realistic shit. And as you said, you need that 2k to make it actually work most of the time because of the old tech used in them.

I've owned five in my time. 2 MP40's, 2 STENs, and an STG-44. Both STENs worked really quite well, and out of the box they performed fine. My first MP40 was fine out of the box but began to degrade over time. My second MP40 I haven't used much yet but it works fine, I'm going to drop in more durable internals to make it last longer than my first. The STG was perhaps the worst failure, after only maybe a thousand rounds or less the stock motor quit outright. It was a simple fix but, as far as being good out of the box, that particular gun didn't pass.

So out of the box they work alright, generally, but durability upgrades are helpful over time. Personally I like AGM simply because they make guns that I really like for a decent price.

I THINK Evike and other US stores may ship to places like the EU, but you'd need to check.

GBBs are proprietary as fuck, you don't " build " them like real ARs.

You buy one you want and maybe upgrade it internally to the way you want it to if it has a aftermarket.

In that case, what brand would you suggest for a middle of the road M16A2 gbb?
>>
>>2369186
Actually scratch that question, assuming I buy a WE brand M16A3, how easy is it to plain swap out the stock for an adjustable carbine stock and the flat-top upper for an A2 one while keeping everything else on?
>>
>>2369198
In theory you could probably buy both guns and just swap the lower without a problem since they're both from WE but I can't give you a 100% guarantee it will work because I don't use WE GBBs. It's just likely you could swap them out.
>>

Only Bomber makes an M16A2, and only Prime makes A2 receivers; both are quire rare and expensive. You're going to either have to find a way to modify an AEG or a stripped real steel upper.

Besides the LVOA being based on a consumer product and not an issued one its fine. Good out of the box performance internally and externally. A good starter gun you'll get a lot of use out of and won't break or hate after a few months.

>Besides the LVOA being based on a consumer product and not an issued one its fine
What did you mean by this? That its not accurate to the real steel lvoa?

>A good starter gun you'll get a lot of use out of and won't break or hate after a few months.
This is what Im looking for. Would rather spend a little more on something that lasts quality wise and not get something cheap and wish I had something better. Realistic and metal builds also score high points for me. It is at the higher end of my budget though and I dont really have anything yet like battery charger and tac gear. The real steel LVOA is a luxury rifle for civilians, it's not a rifle any actual military force uses. No idea why he put that in but I'm pretty sure what he means.

Or are even inner and outer barrels a proprietary mess and I'll have to look for if WE sells those parts separately?
>>
>>2369578
No idea. WE had a shop model M16A2 alongside their A1, but for some reason they never took it past the prototype stage.

Krytacs are decent enough, but don't tighten the receiver pins too hard.
>>
>>2369627
I wish they at least sold the upper itself, it's got what I want, fully adjustable sights on a fixed carryhandle.

How difficult would it be to modify a metal A2 upper from an AEG?
>>
>>2369361
It will likely be too hot for CQB. It will also be a very large gun compared to most CQB guns. If you're OK with that then you can get a weaker spring and put it in your gearbox to bring you down to the proper fps. You could also consider the CRB which might be more versatile.

If you really like the aesthetics and are willing to deal with it's length in CQB than you're gonna have to buy a weaker spring to lower the FPS.

I wouldn't blame you for sticking with the LVOA though the other CQB ones are fucking hideous

There are to (to my knowledge) companies that make or made K98s; Tanaka and Dboys.
Tanakas have been out of production for like a decade now and were marketed towards the collector and reenactment market in countries where firearms are banned, which explains the high price. Like a lot of other companies in Japan, Tanaka is a model company first and an airsoft company second.
Shoei does the same exact thing with their guns; their FG 42 is like $2k and it doesn't even shoot anything.

I don't really know the history of the Dboys model, but it's been around for at least a decade and is marketed mainly to poorfag collectors due to the overall shitty build. Seriously those things jam every other shot and they're built so cheaply.

I also just remembered that G&G made a replica recently, and it's priced at about $450 which is a bit steep when compared to the Dboys, but at least it's not priced like a Tanaka. I hear that the QC is a bit of a dice roll though.
AirsoftGI has had one in their Boneyard for like a year now. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=745_275&products_id=1678

>>
>>2368760
aHA, no. Every manufacturer uses different parts and measurements. Pick one, roll with it. You get what you pay for. Expect to be paying about as much, if not more than on a real AR15. Mags will be a suckerpunch.
Buy inokatsu if you shit gold, buy WE if you want trouble, buy RaTech if you want a running WE and buy GHK for nicely working out of the box and buy VFC if you want HK stuff.
Wait, you're a burger, right? can you even get ino?
>>
>>2370694
Not a burger (I wish).

And honestly, is RaTech really that great? My WE stopped engaging the hold-open when empty, and I figured that a new bolt-stop would fix that, but it didn't.
>>
Where in Europe do I get Tanaka revolvers?

The fuck they're all sold out
>>
>>2369970
>better one once I have the skills

What do people mean by this? Cheap chink shit is easier to break than a good quality gun. Also way worse to learn upgrading and stiff because lacking quality control means that the parts barely fit together and start to wear out from taking apart and screws strip faster than a Thai ladyboy.

>>
>That 30 year old fatass who claimed to be a marine sniper

AFAIK, RaTech makes steelparts only. They generally fix everything thats wrong with a WE. FI: The M14 triggerbox from WE gets easily warped. RaTech builds a full steel one that will probably outlast every single M14 mag on the planet.
>>
>>2371040
Do they happen to make a FCG and "BCG" replacement for WE's AR15s?

Also are inner barrels on these as proprietary as everything else? Or do those actually follow some sort of industry standard?
>>
>>2370713
>polite sage for doublepost
I have the same issue with some of my GBBs. check whether the bolt actually recoils all the way. If not, buy Reely silicon oil, sold wherever you can get RC-parts, Viscosity about 800 for ease of application and soak every piece of rubber you can find. Let this rest and hope that airseal improves.
If not, find out why there isn't enough gas pressure to push the bolt all the way back everytime.
Maybe your hammer spring is too weak. Maybe your free float valve doesn't seal good enough. Refrain from putting rubber on that though, that will seal it better than you want, possibly blowing it up.
Check engagement surfaces. Does the bolt hit the bolt catch at an angle that pushes it down?
Finally, replace the nozzle.
Then replace the BCG.
In the end, replace the rifle.
>>
>>2371049
I don't actually play WE, so all I can tell you is second hand knowledge. Generally, if wgc doesnt carry it, it doesn't exist for all intents and purposes. RaTech mostly fixes WE stuff. Same with Crusader, who only dabble in VFC upgrades.
>>
>>2370713
>he fell for the WE meme

There was a guy on one of the facebook groups asking who made the best glock replica. I told him if you could get one into the USA Marui was his best bet. Some cheeky cunt had the balls to try and say WE was better then Marui. The best part was he said it was do to WE's durability

Polar star users are the worst. I hate all of them.

Incase any of you are wondering the player that decided to shoot at the kittes was asked to leave for the day. As far as I know he wasn't banned because no one aside from me saw him shooting at them. No there is no follow up. I didn't get autistic about it. I simply grabbed the kitten that refused to stand down and took him home.
