This year's SMUG Squad Milsim trip will be at Milsim West's The Caspian Gap on OCTOBER 21-23 IN PERRY, GA AT THE GUARDIAN CENTER. Then ENTIRE facility is in play, not just the 75 odd acres that American Milsim got access to during Ironhorse, but the ENTIRE 850 ACRES OF FIRST RESPONDER FACILITY. This includes an abandoned highway littered with cars, plenty of innawoods, and the best part of all, a huge 75 acre mout facility complete with a full-scale subway training facility. Faction will be Cossacks. required attire is at least a track jacket (track pants recommended) over a telnyshka. OD or Russian cammo bottoms are also acceptable if preferred. There will be a group buy from grey-shop for Mockba sneakers and any other Russian gear for anyone going, to be delivered by hand at meetup.

One carpool is coming out of Conneticut going south. The second is coming out of Milwaukee-Chicago area and will be picking up anyone flying into the Atlanta airport. These carpools will be leaving in time to get to Perry by 1200 on that Friday. The third carpool will be out of the Boston area and arrive a day earlier to stay at the hotel which will be our meetup point. Once we have everything we need, including any needed trips to local stores for food and other supplies, we'll head over to the AO,

Question time - I know GHK GBBs use AEG buckings but what if I want to flat hop a WE GBBR? How do I even go about that? The reason Im asking is because Im soon HPA tapping my M16 and I want to do all sorts of upgrades while at it.

Also on a side note - what the fuck is A+ REAPS and does it actually work like advertised? Or is it better to just get a Modify flat bucking or just nig rig a flat hop out of a Promy violet bucking and an eraser?

Canada has a minimum importation FPS of 366 meaning it's very hard to get GBB pistols and companies have to create special 'canada version' guns that always fire around 400fps stock.

Not every player with HPA is a bad person, I've played alongside players using tippman, polarstar, and SMP and as long as you're not playing with a stupid ass rps and aren't a total cunt then it's fine, I'm not bashing these systems, I'm bashing these types of players who are so commonly associated with them.

I was a volunteer marshal at the inter-varsity games here in Ireland. If a field ref is anything like marshal, just make sure everyone calls their shots, kick those out who don't. Don't be biased, don't let your favourites be terminators.

Now, with that being said, and the jobs at hand, obviously a field ref and a game organiser has more duties. Now I don't know, but it's probably knowing more rules, like the effective range of pyrotechnic grenades.

As a game organiser I think you'll be in charge of either making up the games, knowing when to start them and finish them, and marking out the territory if it isn't already, and other shit I can't imagine.

You really need to be a people person. You need to know your rules to a T and make no compromises with them. You also have to learn some conflict deescalation and the process for deciding what you can act on and what you can't. You're going to have situations which aren't so black and white and sometimes just hard to tell if someone's even in the wrong and then have to deal with people who are mad salty about it.

You'll also have situations you might find people you like straight up breaking rules and you have to be as hard on them as everyone else. It's really a thankless job, but I enjoy it. Complete airsoft newbie here. I'm going into my first game this weekend, following everyone's advice and sticking with rental gear (outside of face protection, I don't trust whatever cheap crap they hand me). But I've got two questions.

1) why do people seem to dislike particularly high fps? Isn't that better in every way? Less travel time, guy should actually call hit since it hurt etc. I watched a youtuber (name escapes me, sniper uses a tokyo mauri, Nostrich?) His gun only shoots 275 fps, as compared to the 400+ I see some guns boasting.

2) I've been shot by shitty airlift guns before, and one gas pistol at pointblank. I know how much they hurt, what I don't want to know is how it feels to get lit the Fuck up by some dickwad from 10 feet. Jeans, hoodie/t shirt, moving gloves, face protection sound good enough to keep me from coming home looking like I have chicken pox?

1) The regional rules regulate the speed of ball, but this variant is more common. The only speed allowed for CQB is 120 m/s (around 395 FPS) with a 0.2 bullet or lower. 150 m/s (~493 FPS) is the maximum for most of the weapons exept for machine guns, semi-auto and bolt-action rifles.160-165 m/s (~530 FPS) is the maximum for MGs and 170 m/s (<565 FPS) for rifles. So, people are disliking high FPS just because of pain and being afraid of traumas.
2) You would better find yourself a team and then buy the required weapon and equipment set.

We call this "Pokemoning", when you dress like a weird civilian (or a retard).
What you need is: good quality eyewear (like ESS ICE or Bolle), good combat boots (Corcoran, Matterhorn, Bundeswehr boots, something like that), camouflage costume (jacket and trousers at your choice), tactical vest (or some other stuff like chest rigs). Gloves, knee and elbow pads are desirable.
Some face masks to protect the mouth and lower parts of face are necessary only when you do CQB.

Serbian kit. I splurged for an actual vest used by Arkan's Tigers, the coat and camo were super cheap and CYMA makes a really nice underfolder.

I would almost say don't do Big Boss and just do an MSF/Diamond Dog with tigerstripe or whatever.

That way you get flexibility but still have a blueprint to work off of. And if someone recognizes you they'll be like "Aw shit dawg, Diamond Dogs."

What would you guys recommend for a low profile setup? Currently using fatigues and a belt my buddy had , but I'm looking for something that fits better and looks better. Headgear is optional as I already have a setup that I like, although recommendations are appreciated.

They used a literal pinprick's worth of glue to hold two pieces of plastic hollow tubes together that go around the barrel and one of the pieces just broke a chunk off and cause the barrel to fall out. I fixed it with super glue though, still gonna complain to the website I bought it from.

Gorka's are meant to be the outermost layer for wind, cold and light rain. They're fit loose on purpose because you're supposed to be able to wear 5-6 layers underneath them. In that picture I'm wearing a t shirt and gym shorts under it. When you put kit on it cinches it down a little but still does the 'blob' effect that most Russian suits have, which is intended to break up the human silhouette.
