>How do you upgrade your guns?
Shim, hop rubber/nub, barrel, motor, spring (usually downgrade), wiring, some form of mounting for optic if required.

It's best to wait until you know what needs replacing before tinkering though, a lot of decent guns develop problems when people 'upgrade' just for the sake of it.

The old one made the bbs arc to the right so I changed it.
>nub
The one that came with the replica disappeared. I made a new one with a material that is not as flexible as rubber.

Teflon taping. Cylinder-window corner radius. Trigger filling for hair-trigger. Mosfet.

I'm not a big fan of tweaking things unless they are broken, causing trouble or tweaking them are riskfree. If it ain't broke don't fix it and all that.

I don't really remember how I did it specifically, but it's not really nuclear physics. If I remember right though, I simply wrapped the cord a few times around the suppressor in one end, taped it down, pulled it straight across it, then did the same in the other end, and pulled back across on the other side of the suppressor. Taped it down again, and ran the net pattern along. I might've also used two lengths of cord, not sure.

>>1372525
I don't know of JG, but I know that Marui G3s are very reliable internally stock. However, expect fuckhuge amounts of creaking, wobbling, and flexing from plastic G3s. You've been warned.

Metal G3s are the holy grail, and incredibly rare these days.

Full part list:

- Lonex piston
- Lonex POM piston head
- Lonex 16:1 gears
- Tienly U-30000 motor
- AirsoftPro M140 spring
- GATE FET, the tiny one, don't remember the name

Original rate of fire was a bit higher, but it was slowed down with the help of some buffers, from what I understood, due to mags not feeding any more.

>>
>>1373105
Do you have spacered spring guide and 9-tooth DSG or are the AP springs just riddiculously tough?
>>
>>1373249
Ideally, no. The Division's NYC, and Stalker's Чaз are a bit different enviroments. Assuming the kits would be "good", not just thrown up, there would be a few differences between each.

Mostly, a Stalker kit would be geared more towards exploration than gunfighting - after all, the Zone is extremely sparsely populated. This would include well known bolts as well. Also, you can expect much higher requirements for NBC gear in the Zone, than in Division's NYC.

Also, trekking in the Zone means a lot longer distances, and possibly also longer periods without resupply, depending on just how deep you operate in the Zone, meaning sling bags are a no-go, but instead, you would need a decent sized pack at least.

So all y'all who play day or overnight milsims- why? I'm pretty much airsofted out after 2 or 3 hours. You can wear yourself out and be filthy and uncomfortable and see lots of action in that time.

I know this feeling all too well, forest games are sort of ruined, too. The small range of the rifles, the uncertainty of shots, the rampant cheating, the sluggish pace of the games, the endless ammo from hi-cap supplies, all of that became all too evident.
I wish we had fields, even if they were plywood labirynths.
>>
>>1375078
If there are cool goals I don't mind long milsims. Unfortunately, free milsim events often tend to be skirmishes on a very big field, so it's as fun as playing Battlefield on 64 map with ~4 people.

Actual military deployments are pretty fucking boring the majority of the time. Those "overhype" events are significantly more accurate than the videogame re-enactments you call milsim.

>go walk back and forth up this route for 10 hours today
>go sit and wait near this dam filled with mosquitos for 6 hours because someone shot two rounds 50 feet over your head
>go sit and guard this dirt hill for 6 months
>get to watch a guy fuck a goat through NVGs
>FIREFIGHT OH SHIT--and it lasted 5 minutes
>repeat above

That is basically it.

Not that RL videogame re-enactment isn't fun though.
>>
>>1375477
I don't know, some of the ops I went on when I was on deployment were basically 24 hours of being pinned down exchanging fire across a street or a poppy field. Only a couple though. And to be honest, we were only a blocking force while the real big hitters were kicking doors and shooting babies.

>tfw ill never be a big hitter

I hate poppy fields

The only guy I know who actually kicked doors and fucked people up was a Ranger, and he was pretty unstable after it. Better to go fuck around in the desert for a few months, shoot at nothing here and there, and then play airsoft for the real action amirite.

I do enjoy re-enactment milsim scenarios that can explain constant action versus the typical made up shit that shoehorns a bunch of trigger time in for no reason. As long as it doesn't play out like a bad COD plot it's usually fun enough to go dick around with friends for a weekend anyway
>>
>>1375509
I gotta be honest, some of the things I did fucked me up. I actually think Airshit helps me relive them in a way that is more controlled and I know no-one gets hurt.
Like, I hate fireworks now after being involved in a SBVIED with follow up S-IED attacks, but when I play on the field, it's different. I'm fine with it.
>>
>>1375517
IED-anything is pretty bad, sorry that you have to go through that.

Airshit actually does do a really good job of bridging combat and non-combat brain. When you can dick around with friends and shoot BBs you get the camaraderie that war holds and de-escalate the feeling enough to not pee yourself when going through freeway overpasses.

It would probably be next to impossible to get going, but it's an interesting concept.

I don't think it's possible due to the differing insurance requirements by region. Even sites within the same general area have different rules because of this. Yeah, my AEG is just a bit short of that distance at 350fps with .25
I'm sure the bolt action goes further than 140~ft but that's the maximum amount of distance we managed to accurately hit things. Presumably because of an untouched hopup since the owner of the rifle didn't want to and the trajectory of the bb sucked due to the bb starting to drop too quickly.

So, my question is if there is a way to refill HPA tanks at home that doesn't require me to drive for 30 minutes just to get ripped off. Buying a scuba tank is out of the question, at least for now.

>Shoot out of cover into heavy cover having no idea where the enemy is
>Enemy laughs as he shoots your stupid exposed ass up
You don't even know how to SAW and are compensating for your idiocy with reliance on the amount of fire you put down range without regard for surroundings. Besides every single time I've seen semi autos suppress an area just fine because you don't need nor want a bb hose for suppression. High ROF is useful in lighting up groups of exposed individuals, not keeping heads down. You want a few rounds here and there to keep their heads down, not a constant stream causing you to just waste ammo. Once again learn how to fucking SAW you retard.

>Typing all that irrelevant shit
Really, are you sure you aren't mentally handicapped? In this case, it literally does not matter whether you are in the open or cover because in both cases or whatever your situation may be, you have better chances to hit the enemy player if you have more firepower. No matter how accurate you think you or your gun are, a small cloud of bbs is always more accurate than a single bb. A would be cheater is also lot more conviced if he's hit by multiple bbs. This is very evident whenever I play with my semi only DMR. No one was talking about how to position yourself in game. No one was talking how to suppress the enemy. The question at hand is: Is high RPS exclusive to speedsofters? How is any of your bullshit related to that? High RPS has it's uses, especially in thick forests whether you like it or not.

Buy your own high pressure scuba tank and an HPA adapter, throw it in your trunk, and use it to fill your own tanks wherever you go. A tank is $300-500 and the adapter is like $40. Fill the tanks of others for a modest fee and it eventually pays for itself, even with the scuba fill costs.

I think he means suppresion as in firing on target without intention to hit but to keep enemy down and allow you and your team to move and flank. In that case high RPS isn't really all that necessary.
But propper trigger discpipline or semi-auto fire is a thing, and I for one agree it's better to have a good RPS in airsoft to compensate for lack of penetration and how easily BB trajectory can be altered by wind

how does the cyma RPK shoot out of the box
want to get one for a civy rebel kit but all the reviews are either old or suck
>>
>>1380988
Not same anon, but it shoots hot, over 400, up to 430 or so. Externals are great other than the sights, gas block, and bipod sometimes. It's consistent, it's weighty, it just needs a new mag out of the box. It also uses PEQ style batteries.
>>
>>1381028
thanks anon

Yeah no problem. It's quite the fun gun, only issue is that all drum mags are 50/50 so you're stuck with normal mags, though the RPK never historically used drums anyways. You might want to replace the grip, it's not the best, and the stain on the wood leaves something to be desired.

It's a CYMA drum wired in to a 7.4 800mAh 20c lipo which works extremely well, went 18 hours on Saturday/Sunday and it was only down like .50v per cell
Basically you gotta hold on the button a bit while firing because the tension isn't super significant, but overall for the price it's good. As for other brands I think it's mostly rebrands.

>Long mags
My only other choices are disgustingly long RPK style 7.62 ones that only give me 50 more rounds or disgusting plastic orange 5.45 ones that are the same as the one that came with the gun that means broken lip as soon as the rifle takes a hit in the magazine

I know it's the same kind of action.

The bolt and barrel are different though.

>>1381963
The AR-10?
>>
>>1381928
I mostly just bought the rifle because I'm a WW2 buff, I doubt I'll be doing much sniping, I just want to be able to take it out in the field with me if I want.

Stop worrying so much. All you have to do is not miss.

It's not always bad, it depends greatly on where you play and what kind of game it is
I'm a
>fucking leaf
and I just did an 18 hour while observing no cringey types, but then again, it was an 18+ event and I was probably one of the youngest players there at 20

GMR was using JPCs and MK18s, so rule wise no.
You will get called out like fuck though and it'll piss off a lot of people including yourself when you get shot by both sides for running NATO rifles with Russian camo.
>>
>>1382447
Read the Tacsop. Follow it. live by it.

If you can't then join the cossacks.
>>
>>1382447
There aren't any weapon restrictions on Cossacks.
They're basically Russians that don't dress as Russians.
>>
>>1381900
what problems are there other than the shitty trigger and fire selector that you need a fet for ?
>>
>>1382608
An extremely long and strong trigger pull that pretty much takes away the point of having a good trig response and a weird trigger system on full auto where if you pull the trigger party it fires on semi while all the way fires it in full auto.
It's large and feels clunky and any users of p90's who get 'p90 thumb' will experience the same shitty feeling.
The receiver gets in the way of using a lot of aftermarket polymer magazines and it seems you're almost stuck with the metal stanag style (my favorite anyway).
There are rail systems available from G&G for $200 which is ridiculous, so for mine I just had an attachment for my top rail that gave me two side rails.
The battery room is tiny and laughable and won't even fit a 9.6 nunchick nimh but an easy fix for this is opening the rifle up and hacking it away with your choice of tool, a kitchen knife worked for me because I had no tools or teching experience when I owned this rifle really.
I think that's it.. Tighten the receiver too much and nothing will work.. You basically have to source a real F2000 hider if you live in the US and it comes with an orange plastic one (really an M4 birdcage would work fine if you really didn't care).
Trades are nice and it basically always fed though

Are they even produced anymore? I bought a second-hand Long Barrel one because of how rare they are in Yuro.
