Just put them in water for 5 minutes and then let em dry out. This is the cheapest and safest way. Just make sure you pull them out the wheel first.

I have been riding the "accelerate" the past year or maybe more , multiple pairs. First of all, great shoe. Apply glue to the seams around the synthetic/plastic pieces and they will last a long time. Very good quality. Amazing shoe overall.

I also have a pair of the "Accel slim" which seem great, but I've only had one pair so fair and haven't skated them much so... Not sure I can give opinion.

If anybody at ES reads this: bring back "first blood" shoe from before you went out of business!!!!! That was an awesome shoe.

Soak them in WD40, I usually just put them in the cap of the bottle and then spray til covered. Or a chinese takout tray

Get rubbing alcohol/paint thinner something that grease is soluble
Throw the bearings in without the shields, shake them around few times
Get old toothbrush, take the bearings out from the solution one by one and brush them a bit all around, try to get really in there
Throw them in the solution again and shake them around, take out and let them dry
Apply speed cream/chain oil something similar to lube em up, let sit for a bit and roll them around in your fingers so the oil gets everywhere
Remove excess oil by throwing the bearings to old sock or something similar and doing a windmill
Then put them back on

If you are lazy as fuck, just throw them in the solution, shake em around every now and then and let them sit there for 5 minutes, take them out, let them dry and apply oil/speed cream

I've traveled with mine before, I almost had it get stolen when I checked it once many years ago so I carry it on now. I take the trucks off and put them in my bag and just kind of tie my deck to my backpack and there's not a problem getting it in the overhead bin. Sometimes I just buy a deck when I get there from the shop and put my trucks on it. The only problem you'll run into is if you board last and there's not much overhead bin space left

Are pools supposed to be super steep? I'm talking steep to the point we're it's like skating a barrier with concrete on the bottom but 10ft high. Not even exaggerating due to lack of experience, I've skated really steep park bowls but this is fucking ridiculous. Maybe I'm skating the wrong types of pools?

Been skating 4 years but have spent 99% of my time skating transition and bowls. Starting to get into flat and realised I can't hover over any of my tricks. My Ollies have to be super quick and I can't actually jump with them and hold my knees in my chest without one of my legs freaking out and doing the failing man air walk shit. The problem with boards like that is it's hard to stop or slow them, especially if you're already going fast as all fuck downhill. All you can do is put your pushing foot on the ground and hope for the best. A bike will get you farther faster.

Its a matter of preference, both will work fine. 139s will be a bit smaller than the board, might make kick/heelflips easier, and 149s will be flush, with the edges of the nuts barely visible, with more turning radius . but each will work okay

you mean actual swimming pools? yes that's exactly what they're like. maybe 1% of pools in the wild have nice transition, the rest feel like jersey barriers, like wallriding, like you said. If you pay attention to legit pool skating videos like 'traipsin' and 'fruit of the vine' and whatever else you can see that even the ones pros ride are like that. also the paint is usually super slippery and sometimes stucco that will cut you bad. you have to really hunt for wild pools that have true smooth transition. Now you know why clearing over the lights / ladder is such an accomplishment. And I don't know what your problem with ollies is, but you brain will subconsciously kick the board away if youre not used to jumping down large shit. I don't know how to tell you to beat that, you just have to basically ride the board down its hard to explain its just a mental thing

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Just looking to have fun, and I just moved as well so it's a pretty good way to meet some new people.

I wish I hadn't taken like 6 years off from skating though. Shit seemed a lot easier to learn back when I was 14 compared to now that I'm in my 20's. I'm way more scared of hurting myself than I was back in the day. Almost broke my back skating a miniramp a few months ago and that was pretty scary.

But I find it good to approach it like any other sport if you want to progress.
Just find a quite place to do nothing except trying to ollie up curbs.

Then set yourself a goal of 10 or so to land before you get a water / smoke break.
Then after that you just challenge yourself harder, say 10 succesfull ones in a row or 20 curb ollies.

It might be boring and repetitive but it really drills the trick into you
