Why don't I feel a strong sense of love for my girlfriend?

I've had one girlfriend before her and I got that feeling. I loved her dearly. But I feel like my current relationship is dominated by apathy, like as if I'm depressed or something. If we broke up, I'd be upset but I don't think it'd faze me too much. On the other hand, I know she'd be destroyed if I broke up with her.
