It (Normal End) was the only conclusion considered at the time. However, after writing about 2/3 of it, I found that the story itself did not allow such a conclusion. After that, I wrote the original conclusion, and then followed the story and write the happy end. Since this was Shirou's tale of happiness after losing so much, even if Saber and Illya were lost, at least he should let Sakura achieve happiness. And this was the conclusion. Even though Sakura indirectly became a mass murderer, there was no reason to deny her of happiness. I came up with this idea that if one were alive, it was not bad to redeem him/herself while looking forward to happiness. Even though this was hypocrisy, I felt that the story itself strongly demanded this possibility. To be honest, it was the first time that I lost to the story I wrote.

First off, there are no sex scenes or rape backstories in RN, so you'd be wrong there. And "all those people" is nobody but Shinji, Zouken(+servant) and Kotomine. The shadow was the grail feeding itself while merging with her, not something she controlled.

Sakura's just got a shit-ton of arguments surrounding her because of a bucketload of reasons - such as being literal waifubait like Saber, because Nasu is a Rinfag, and as such, she and Ilya are the only ones who really have a personality. The main problem that the other two anons are arguing about is that Sakura's shadow is explicitly shown to react to her desires, such as when it kills Shinji when she "Wishes he didn't exist" on a lark. So it's entirely plausible either of them are right - and that Sakura did subconsciously desire for all those people to die for the Grail; which is even justified by her FUCKING BACKSTORY, being raised to be a vessel for the goddamn thing by her horribly abusive family.

However, it's equally possible because Nasu loves being vague as fuck, that Avenger subconsciously manipulates the shadow after it has assimilated with Sakura, as one anon is arguing.

This is why Sakura's really divisive in the fanbase, basically. It's not about worms or any of that, the main point is if you think Sakura murdered all those people like she did Shinji? Because she was asleep, it's entirely plausible that her subconscious mind was doing it and selecting targets she'd want dead from her dreams; OR it could be that Avenger could only manipulate the shadow when she was taking a nap. The problem lies in that everyone who tells Shirou (and the player) this type of information is horrifyingly unreliable, because Kotomine and Zouken are not the most up and up of guys.
