Here's the thing, if the story is good and it's good.
The story presented in the Manga is very entertaining. The music references and the completely unique subject matter are also refreshing.

Could be amazing, I supsect it would work even better if it was produced in America, but I know they'd just SJW up the acting and the plot and fucking ruin it.

If something is unique and has a very entertaining story it can be a hit. I'm not sure how it will fair in Japan. But I think it would be one of the most interesting Anime to ever be created and draw lots of attention.


It's probably the only anime to deal with Black history, it would be a first in many areas.

And as mentioned, the nips don't have the cultural climate much of the West does right now that concentrates attention on content like this. And the series itself is serialized on an irregular basis in a minor magazine. There is absolutely no reason to think it would sell.
