Even if it were to be translated, translations are terrible. Even for very well renowned and often talked about titles, the translations are laughable and painful to read when you compare them to the original Japanese text side by side. Languages are like that, and it's even more true for Japanese from a Westerner perspective. Translations will never ever bring you close to fully enjoy something as it was intended to be.

So either start learning or accept it.

There are hundreds of series in the CoR with more than good enough scans, not to mention the decent ones on nyaa, etc. Try comparing it to actual physical copies of manga, unless you are using a magnifying glass to read everything, most of the scans are more or less better than what you'd get from reading directly from a paperback sized book.
Really high resolution scans have tained the perception of what manga is like to normally read and what the Japanese normally read, which is from dead tree. We're actually pretty spoiled in the west with our digital supply.

Yeah, i write down words i dont know and add them to anki and try and study those with example sentences. Doing this right now with Pokemon Sun, it's helping my cognition along with the Sun and Moon anime. First time i've watched the pokemon anime since i think the R/S series

sure, I started like 2 years ago by now but really some ~6 months of half ass studying.The rest is empty time. If i were to guess i'm at like a 1st grade reading level due to my lack of expanding on particles and "suffixs"(w/e the ending part of sentences that i cant remember right now). Vocab is probably around 1k-2k words and half of that is kanji but I have problems identifying kanji outside of anki decks due to how my memory works, would probably be circumvented if i read more and identify them outside of the white and blue boxes. Taking one of the japanese classes at my local cc cause i need to speaking and writing practice, taking some kanji classes next semester.

My end all goal, at which if i reach i'll be done is to be able to read 装甲悪鬼村正. I dont even like VNs it's just the most impossible milestone imo and is the top

well i should go to bed, i see that perfectly now that you said it. Anyway, i just cant get comfortable and focus. It's just not engaging enough for me on any level. Clicking to read is tedious, music while it should be comforting on repeat drives me fucking crazy. alot of art from games that people recommend is just bland. I got Steins;gate on my vita and decide to go through that but got some ~8 hours before stopping despite being interested after dropping the anime years ago. I can read for hours on end but VNs just dont do it for me. PC-98 games do though for w/e reason maybe its the pixel art. It's just real relaxing and not jarring the way alot of standard VNs are with their art and backgrounds. Waiting for PC-98 emu on vita now that it's been cracked open and vita has great res and even a second stick for it

Are there any sites out there that have the script for manga series like some blog sites post the dialogue from airing shows? Looking up words with scans are super slow and it would be a lot easier to have a text reference for rikaisama or even a specific vocab list to use in Anki in order to be familiar with the words and revising them before they appear.

My brain must be broken because I find myself looking up the same words even just a few pages apart and for days after encountering them, making reading manga be like 90% looking up things and 10% enjoying.

That's what I use on my tablet but it's just really slow looking up words and making Anki cards for them. Oh well. The Core vocab decks are okay, I guess but basically everything I'm encountering is things either not covered in core yet or words not even in it, but I don't want to mess around with the card order.
I'll see if I can find subtitles for the anime adaptation and make a vocab list out of that, assuming it is closer enough a 1:1 with the manga dialogue.

I often think it's fun to see what the translators have been feeding you. If they're accurate, you'll find it to easier to understand the sentences it's still difficult to understand. If they're inaccurate, you can be aghast at what they've been doing. Either way you'll see how many hoops people have to jump through to turn Japanese into English.

This is more as a curiosity than a primary learning tool, though.

Yeah, it happens pretty often. A lot of the time you will see them in magazine scans that act as sort of a placeholder which are then redrawn for the tank, or left entirely depending on how lazy the mangaka is.

Since the manga was already brought up, ばらスィー did that sort of thing a fair bit in 苺ましまろ. Sometimes it worked while other times it looked more like something to fill in a space that wasn't really needed, or could have looked better redrawn, even if it made it look plainer.
Pic related is a sample compilation of this sort of thing. I guess it depends on whether or not you like, dislike or don't really care either way for this sort of obvious photo splicing.

As a side question, how do you guys feel about the more slightly greyish or slightly yellowish scans? Going through those images just now to grab a few examples, for some reason the not nice and clean whites of a "proper scan" felt almost nostalgic. Weird.

I bought it and ripped it from ebookjapan using two ways. Both ways yielded fat png files, but the easier way was even fatter. The hard way gave me 2.5-4 MB png files, the easy way gave me 5-9 MB png files.

I did it myself. I converted the kind of png file for the images I got from the easy ripping method to a more manageable png file size. Then I converted everything to jpg for posting and uploading.

If it has furigana yes, have Jisho open and read away. It'll be hard and frustrating at first no matter what, and you won't notice improvements at first, but if you keep it up you'll progress and it'll become more and more enjoyable.

So as long as you're aware of this, make it a habit and go for it. I would recommend reading all of Tae Kim at the very least though.
For more information on how to learn Japanese take a look over the DJT guide/thread, their website also has a bigger Grammar guide than Tae Kim is, which is useful to use as a reference for when you're stuck on something Tae Kim hadn't fully covered.

its alot more boring and 100% SoL now but its still nice. If it wasnt for that stupid as fuck mini-arc with look-a-like of MC i would be liking it alot more where its currently at. That combined with the boring and non-progression of the side characters ruin it. They need to get some development while maintaining the current SoL elements with Hori and Miyamura

That was done by two anons, one contributing a tiny fraction of the overall. All of the actual legwork was done by one anon and that's why it will likely remain in the unfinished state is in, because it was only ever really the one anon who cared about it. Everyone else is content enough with the already high quality scans of the books which are out there.
