Does anyone else find Tae Kim to be fairly difficult to memorize/internalize? I'm like 75% through, and I don't really remember or understand a lot of the topics that I previously read. After I finish should I just start reading native material and ask questions very often, read the guide again, or read a different guide? What do people usually do?

Watch subbed cartoons and try to apply what you've learned by listening to what the characters are saying.
That's probably the fastest way to internalize the important things like particles and conjugations.
This isn't necessarily what I'm suggesting you do, but personally I didn't start reading anything until I was five months into studying the language. That's long after I had internalized everything in tae kim; all of my exposure was through subbed anime.

I don't know famalam I'm just an /int/ lurker, but generally, using the freshly learned grammar is the only successful approach. I mean you should try to form your own sentences using that specific grammar point or reading stuff online. Just google the phrase and you will find a shitton of sentences.
Also when I study grammar I always write down the rules and examples on paper. This helps me a lot, but you have to find the most suitable method for yourself.

Raws are pretty tough as a beginner because you have to worry not only about words but also grammar comprehension, though if you think you're ready to tackle them then you should start with a slowgoing SoL show

The only thing you can do to fight laziness is form habits and just make the rational decision to do the goddamn work. Worst case scenario, you barely do any new anki cards and have to wait years before you're good. If you learn 5 kanji-vocabulary a day, you'll know 3,000 kanji in less than 2 years, and would have barely spent time studying. Obviously this is suboptimal but you can be a lazy shit and still do it.

Another thing would be to force yourself to read manga in Japanese. That's what I'm trying to do and it's ridiculously helpful. Reading practice is the most important thing to do while learning Japanese. If you do nothing but anki for 100 years you will never learn Japanese. Try reading a single chapter or something a day and build up as time goes on. Do *not* rely on motivation. Just make a schedule and stick with it. If you can't do that, sorry, but you really can't learn Japanese.

When I said "subtitles" I was referring to english ones, but sure, that's one method if you're able to find good japanese ones.
In either case just listening to the word and writing it out in kana is easier. Learn to check for common hearing mistakes (まみむめも for ばびぶべぼ, し for しゅ, mixing particles into words, etc.) and you'll be fine.
Enunciation in anime is usually good enough that you shouldn't have to rely on japanese subtitles to catch words. Edge cases are maybe drunk characters and characters who tend to slur their speech and use slang. Particularly tangled and wordy sentences can also be tough to parse so I'd advise you stay away from any show that has a lot of those as a beginner.

Does anyone else find it extremely hard to remember the sound of kanji? The meaning in English is easy but whenever I try to remember pronounciation in anki I'm slow as fuck.

The proper way to use English subs is to prioritize the audio in your head first, then sort of fall back on the text that you're going to be subconsciously reading anyway
I don't know how valuable my perspective on Japanese subs is at this point considering I've rarely used them, and after a year of studying I automatically associate sounds with kanji anyway. That said I'd still advise you not to rely on reading subtitles when you're watching anime. They're a luxury and you don't want to be thrust into the dark when you can't get them. Get used to "hearing" kanji.

I want to add listening practice to my routine and also adjust it however:
1.- I've got 490 mature, 469 young cards on my reading deck, and 2559 mature, 887 young cards on Core6k; Is this enough for listening?

you should memorize kanji as idiom first, not one word. plenty of kanji words are never used as one word. e.g. 欧 is almost exclusive to 欧州 or 西欧.
the same goes for 復. its only used in idioms, like 復習、復元、復讐、etc

there are three types of kanji, the group of kanji to be used both as one word and in idioms, to be used exclusively in idioms, to be used exclusively as one word (or to be used together with hiraganas)

its very ineffective to memorize idiom exclusive kanji as one word.

I had been taking classes since around 2008 or so, but due to ~circumstances~ I ended up with a lot of free time for about six months starting from the end of 2009. I decided that fuck it, I might as well devote my time to learning Japanese, so I pretty much just sat there and read eroge in Japanese (painstakingly, by manually looking up every word in lines I hooked with AGTH - no fancy VN reader tools back then) for anywhere from 5-10 hours a day. I also forced myself to stop watching anime with subs completely; one of the first shows I watched raw was actually Katanagatari! It took me like two hours to get through every episode of that show but going "cold turkey" definitely helped a lot.

I had also been a fansub editor for a while before all that, which also helped with general familiarity with the language and such since I had to actually pay attention to the dialogue in anime and how it was translated.

Anyway, near the end of 2010 I decided to see how I'd do on the N1 practice test on the JLPT site. It was a total joke so I decided to go ahead and take the actual thing in December. Long story short I passed it with a 176/180 or something. The N1 is hyped up as some sort of holy grail of Japanese learning, but honestly, if you ask me, I think it's pretty much on par with those standardized reading comprehension tests everyone took back in middle school. If you can read eroge in Japanese without much issue and watch raw anime, I don't really see how there's any way you couldn't pass it, since it's all multiple choice and only tests vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Fun anecdote: Once I got the N1 I was confident enough to translate Dra+KoI shortly after. Fortunately I ended up sitting on it for a while after that because when I came back to it to do a second pass for release a year or two later I found a lot of pretty dumb mistakes, lol. Even if my reading comprehension back in 2010 was good enough to pass N1 there are still some games I read back then that I want to go back to eventually; I already did Subahibi, so Forest is probably next on the list.
