Is Frejya crying?
I don't care about the bowl, I want her to get some development
- REPOST -
These are my thoughts towards mirage's tearing scene.
I can tell the moment when mirage shed tears is when she knows that she could not be with hayate anymore nor be like frejya. She knows her own weaknesses on not being a capable pilot, she lacks fold receptors and ability to sing to resonate with hayate like frejya and she often times could not express the emotions that she has been holding back. All these things that she lacks is shown everywhere in the past episodes.
She is envy towards hayate and frejya because the both of them are like a perfect combo in her eyes. From that scene onwards, she realized that she had feelings for hayate despite knowing that she very much loss.
I'm just sharing my rational opinions on mirage's character overall and how it affects that tearing scene in the end. I have no intention of making her the winner of the triangle.
I would like to listen to everyone's thoughts as well. do comment. Thanks a lot.
I'm sorry, but did Mirage already lose? Oh, that's right. The show isn't even over yet. In fact, it's only halftime. Does not having the lead at halftime count as a loss? Is that what you're saying? Because if you're saying that I can assure you that you're wrong. Why would you make this topic when the show is still on? Mirage is still fighting right now and has been the best captain in the Delta Platoon for how many episodes now? She's fighting one of the worst singers in the cluster who just happen to have a lead because she's feeding off the energy of a genki girl. But you know what? She still fucking suck. Mirage is one of the best fucking girls in Delta, she went to a date last episode and would of won the Hayate Bowl if he didn't choke on genki girl's emotions. Maybe you should shut the fuck up before you make retarded topics like this. You know why? Because you're going to be embarrassed when Mirage wins and someone bumps this topic. Oh look at that, Mirage just pressed her chest on Hayate's back and he liked it, just like Sheryl did. Are you a fucking drunk? Are you retarded? Are you autistic? You are a fucking idiot and you should never make a topic on this board again and I'm fucking serious. I almost have a feeling you're the only guy making all these anti-MIrage topics because you're a faggot hater who doesn't like her because she's good. Fuck you, be good at something in YOUR life and then maybe try to troll these fucking girls on the board, like I give a fuck. It's so easy to spot out your threads now, you're a retard. Always doing stupid shit like this. Why don't you try to be a good poster? Just for once? For once in your fucking life try not to make a topic like this. That's just you, you're always right at getting it wrong. Fuck you. You are nothing.
How to improve it?
>But that is how Mirage feels now.
>Didn't i not specify my thoughts specifically towards the tearing scene?
>Can't you even tell that my post is actually open for both parties to discuss, My dear Frejyafags and Miragefags?
Do you even read?
I'm trying to view her at her shoes. Besides the reason why i said i have no intention of making her win is because this will trigger more Frejyafag's shitposting.
Btw, i'm personally a miragefag myself.
It's not really similiar at all. There are similiar superficial elements. But those are shared between most macrosses. Like the guy is a pilot, the two love interests are 1) singer and 2) military. The military girl is the oldest, then the guy, and the singer is the youngest. But then the similarities sort of stop here as far as the triangle dynamics are concerned.
In SDF, the main guy is hopelessly chasing after the singer for almost all of the show's original runtime (read: up to ep 27), while she only sees him as a friend. Meanwhile he spends a significant portion of the show being on bad terms with the military girl, but the two of them at some point find mutual ground in that they're both have unrequited loves. Towards the originally intended end of the show, everything looks to have neatly resolved itself with the main guy having given up on the singer and sort of ended up with military girl after he rescued her following the climatic end battle. Then we have 9 episodes of extension where the singer suddenly appears to have had a change of heart and now apparently is interested in the guy. This leads to the guy nearly destroying what he had manged to make with the military girl because he loses his head apparently when the singer finally starts showing interest in him. It does however again end with him taking farewell of the singer and ends up with the military girl.
Where does any of that sound like Delta?
Interview said that Hayate will interact with Windnigga more. I hope they team up or something for understanding ending.
Mirage's a cute.
Team up with Keith would cool. Alto and Brera final fight scene was great. I wait for something like that.
Man episode 27 was PERFECT.
Most importantly I think one of the reasons that Misa was able to win was that there was a significant rift between Hikaru and Minmay, so she was capable of squeezing in. However this time around Mirage doesn't really have that going for her, seeing how Hayate and Freyja are really close.
My honest opinion is that this is my first time seeing a possible couple in the Macross franchise being so emotionally and spiritually connected, not to mention how well they clicked since the first episode. I don't think anything Mirage could do can come even close to the deepness of the bond that Hayate and Freyja share. Just my 2 cents though.
>They say the most unlikeliest girl will win the triangle, which is Misa as they said.
That's kind of a dumb argument on why Mirage will win. At the end of the day the deciding factor was that Minmay and Hikaru were just too different and had different goals and expectations therefore pushing Misa as a "better" choice. Which is something that doesn't help Mirage this time around. Freyja and Hayate are basically the power couple that inspire each other to persevere in their dreams and have the same determination to reach their respective goals. They make each other stronger and better people, basically what a relationship is supposed to be about.
Reina and Makina also noticed Freyja's feelings for Hayate in some past episodes. However they are more willing to help Mirage for some reason.
Interact more =/= friendly
Hayate has no reason to be friendly to Windermemes and vice-versa especially if his daddy dropped the bomb
Hayate has been interacting with them in almost every episode
>However they are more willing to help Mirage for some reason.
Its probably because they have been together with Mirage for awhile. Besides, what lead to even help Mirage is that there are couple of episodes where they spotted Mirage being with Hayate all along when they are off duty
I'm not sure they've helped. They may have been hoping for something to happen when Hayate and Mirage were out together, but that was just a byproduct of organizing a party for Freyja, which (predictably) mostly helps Freyja.
Before in the episode Reina noticed Freyja blushing when Arad explained how she resonated with Hayate. They must be aware and gossiping about it, but they aren't pushing Freyja to Hayate for some reason.
For now Mikumo and Arad are HayaFre, Reina, Makina and Chuck HayaMira.
>Because seeing is believing bois.
>Didn't they know that they're just try to help Messer yet
Yes they did reveal in the later episodes. I believe those early scenes of Mirage being together with Hayate are actually foreshadowing of Mirage's relationship with Hayate which will or might happen in the final half of the series. As we can see the writers already developed HayaFrey's romance up to episode 16, so they might probably begin to proceed to HayaMira romance for the last 10 episodes.
I can see why people would believe that theory because a lot of hints being dropped left and right that it's so obvious
But at the same time, it's *so obvious* that I'd be disappointed if that's the route they took.
Remember arad say he owes Wright a lot and Wright is too kind for his own good?
This implicitly tells audience that the person who was actually told to throw the bomb is Arad , and due to Wright being too kind, he do in Arad stead by shouldering the burden that Arad could've suffered.
Remember how Bogue actually slightly outperforms Mirage in the beginning episodes during their dogfight?
It is time for some Zessical revenge by having Mirage ace the shit out of Bogue!!!
That's the big mystery.
Was he forced? Did Arad misread his character and he was acutally a windhater all along? Var-control? Tricked into it? Did they threaten his family? Was there a bigger threat that the bomb was supposed to deal with? Did he even drop it on the right location? Was he "actually "the one who dropped it - or is he just taking the blame?
Hopefully in the next few eps the triangle will be decided and then we'll finally be able to get some answers.
Yeah, it doesn't fit. Arad is clearly fond of Wright. But at the same time he's been acting all this time like he's hiding something and he regrets his participation in Windermere's war (and the show supports why he'd regret it, what with tons of dead civilians, the knights being decimated, kids fighting and NUNS being shady). We are missing some key information. A popular theory is that Hayate's dad was VAR'ed by a third party.
And so Chuck deals with the twins and Arad soloed Herman and Cassim like a boss.
I have a feeling that the senior pilots of the Aerial knights will die in the end of the series and the younger pilot will live on from any resentment.
It's almost a given that Herman's gonna bite it. Cassim might just follow him going by the death flags in ep 15.
That whittles down the Knight numbers to manageable levels. Chuck and Arad can deal with the twins, especially with Keith and Bogue tied up with Hayate and Mirage and thus unable to provide support.
>Enemy of my enemy is my friend? Especially if a third part does come out of the woodwork to fuck the knights + Windermere over.
Then you begin to realize that peace is actually very fragile.
Sucks to be them
The only good windnigger is a dead windnigger
To be fair, 'take over the world' is literally just Roid + twins and Bogue.
Heinz just wants the war the end, and he sees this as the best way - but then again he's just 9 and most likely being used by Roid for his own agenda. Keith, Herman and Cassim are against it. The rest of the Windy population are sheep and are just following the plan because the nobility are (seemingly) for it and they make the decisions around here.
Not every person on the entire planet is like KILL ALL HUMANS - only the few in power. If they're removed quickly I can see them getting away with being misguided.
They didn't even know what peace is.
They actually understood their actions, but they're beings that can destroy the galaxy, the best people could hope was teaching them better ways. They also did what they did to survive.
Now Windermereans operate on the same "rules" as any other humanoid society and they even have the audacity to declare that their conquest is to "liberate" other nation which of course is just kekus maximus.
An that's why they need to be bombed back into the stone age
>If you kill enough of them, they stop fighting
Heinz now is all for this plan of galactic conquer, but he's just a kid starving for love and affection who has been told that's his late father's will. Bogue and twins are dumb teenagers who have eaten up all the hate and propaganda from Roid, even if Bogue for example has a good reason for hating NUNS (no different from Alto in the tv series, and Heinz reminds me a bit of Ranka's and Sheryl's role, more or less). For me their actions are decisions are understandable and make sense, even if I don't agree with them and think Keith, Herman and Cassim are actually right about opposing Roid's plans.
They are real Windermere beans
Not this again. I thought we had all agreed Windermere's actions were understandable from their POV.
Also, in the series Alto wanted to eradicate Vajra, which would have been a galactic crime, and in the movies Sheryl was in fact a traitor and in cahoots with Grace the whole time until meeting Alto and Ranka made her have a change of heard. The both of them got a free pass despite operating "on the same 'rules' as any other humanoid".
>I thought we had all agreed Windermere's actions were understandable from their POV.
When they wanted to chase NUNS out of the cluster yes, not when the king decided to TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
I'm not trying to defend Roid because I think he's just an opportunist and a protoculturefag, but Heinz, Bogue and twins are acting more or less how I expected of them given their age and their circumstances on Windermere.
What I would wear: Kaname (minus the hat), Mikumo (maybe not the thigh highs)
What I wish I could wear: Reina
What looks pretty cute but probably not translate very well irl: Makina
Reina's is cool, but too Hipster Edgy Hot Topic for me.
Not a big fan of Freyja's.
Roid is really the only bad guy here. He's playing all the kids (Bogue, Heinz, twins) like fiddles with his propoganda + bearer of Gramia's will claims.
The older ones (Keith, Cassim, Herman) see his bullshit plan for what it is - bullshit.
you're faggot if you think their action is still justifiable after declaring war on the enitre galaxy
what they will do is basically the same thing with what the NUG did
>supplying the civilians with VAR foods just so they can mind control them for their convenient later on
>surprisingly comfy for such a model-like gal. Only shows ZR and lower neck, that's fine too for everyday clothes and again, not what you'd normally see on her
>le two wifebeaters
>pretty good, the hat makes it work
>to Octoberfest she goes
>I like this "emo" style very much, but I probably would never dress that way since I like to look plain
Mikumo > Makina > Reina > Kaname > Freyja
>The problem is they developed HayaFre too well.
So we will have to see how the writers develop mirage's romance with hayate.
>without giving Mirage even a little advancement
That is why there is 10 episodes left for the writer to savage that.
If none of this happens, then that's just too bad for mirage
No other macross ship we've seen has had "island ship". That's the point with Frontier. It was freaking HUGE. 10 million people called Frontier home, with half of that living on the main island. City 7 by contrast had a population of only 350.000, and Barette city on Ragna looks to be yet smaller than that. Frontier's island one was just on a different scale and contained nature areas that alone were larger than the others.
To make Mirage win they'll have to tear down HayaFre despite Hayate being the worsr Freyjafag while building HayaMira up from scratch. The 10 episodes won't be spent on romance only but Winderemere drama and protoculture mystery.
It's too late.
What's with the symbol behind Kaname?
Even the symbol behind Mikumo I could still understand sort of (upside down Mitsubishi logo with technological/musical/medical something).
Yes? And? Where does lead up them being 'cruel' in their 'matchmaking'? They're not egging Mirage on, they did not send sublimial messages influencing what either part would say. They simply watched. Just like us the audience, simply watched.
>No other macross ship we've seen has had "island ship"
Its literally called Island Cluster Colonization Ship. Which can also be seen from series such as Macross 7, Macross Delta and Macross Frontier
I was reffering to "island" as in its size.
City 7 is never reffered to as an island. It's simply a city 7. Frontier's main dome is "Island One" with the rest of them as well being reffered to islands presumably.
But alright, they're "island clusters" But really the others are tiny city blocks with a few parks and such in them. While Frontier is utterly massive ands has an ocean bay, hills, forests. It's fuck huge by comparison. Which was my main point. Island one is so much nicer than the others because is fuck huge and has extravagant luxuaries on a different scale.
>They could hve simply found out about it rather than expecting it
Why would they even follow them when they weren't even expecting it?
If they weren't expecting, Chuck and Makina wouldn't had tried to imagined the conversation that both Mirage and Hayate had in regards to discussing about the choice of gift at the shop
Macross 11 basically have the small city blocks that you are talking about.
Besides what i was actually referring is that the design and animation of the Main City Dome is colourful and filled with Advertisements in frontier which makes it not so plain as compared to Macross Delta which is just city alone with just simple shopping malls and so on. Heck, in Frontier's Main city, there's advertisments of sheryl and ranka everywhere, there's tram car, Light rail transit, colourful organized buildings. But in Delta, its just so plain, it seems that the writer did not actually on the details of the setting.
Dude. Barrette city had not been used for over 30 years. It was planted in the middle of a bay on Ragna, a large town sprang up on the land around the bay. That's where people lived. I don't think many would choose to live inside an enclosed dome when they had the opporunity to live in beach paradise city instead. Barette city escaped from Ragna under short notice, people brought what they could. Even so, the town actually looks a lot more settled in episode 16, compared to episode 14, when everyone was out on the streets sitting on blankets.
Comparing the most luxurious and extravagant and largest colony ship we've seen to date in Macross, compared to a tiny ass, 30 years olf since it flew refugee solution, seems a bit daft.
Makina wouldn't be saying "Things are going smoothly" (6:15) and Chuck wouldn't be saying "I can feel the awkwardness of couples who've only just started going out" (6:17). And they wouldn't be so keen to listen to Mira and Hayate's conversation. When Hayate ignore's Mira, they literally said Hayate is "dense". Reina even responded "love" is cruel.
Hayate and Mira has been together alone in the past few episodes which stir a lot of people's curiousity. But what made Maki and Reina to be expecting is that Mira saved hayate and he hugs mirage in return. With that, they are expecting something going on between the two.
Why the hell is she so shy when it comes to topics like this? While often times we see her being so straight forward and loud to him when it comes to serious topics?
Dang what is wrong with her? Mirage, if you really have feelings towards him, face it and don't shy out. Or else you will suffer and lose out.
Kaname is love.
>reina and makina
>shipping Mirage x Hayate
and the bunnies,
Although it's weird for them to be interested in Mirage's well being, they hardly talk to her on screen.
Is this a good indicator? This is my first Macross but I hope it is.
Here my prediction
Next episode Hayate know something about his dad and goes emo Lv.10 made he ignoring everything including Freyja. Bogue almost kill Freyja but Mirage pull out her ultimatr Jenius skill and save Freyja from Bogue's missile. Their love blooming in the battlefield.
Once Hayate realizes the pain he caused Mirage in the past, will he apologize before confessing?
I have seen it in other series but never in Macross. It's not done much nowadays, the MCs only know how to push and almost never reflect.
Freyja has already mentioned numerous times that she wants to live in the moment and doesn't think too far into the future. If she wants the cock now, she will get it now an enjoy it.
Jesus christ. This isn't a dramatic romantic anime.
We've already seen Freyja does not let her lifespan get in the way of her pursuing happiness. If HayaFre does happen, it'll happen and it'll be chill without any of this "booo hoo! Hayate I'm dying! Mirage please listen to my last request!! Waaaaahhhh!"
Jesus fuck people. Stop trying to kill off a character just because that's the only way you can see your ship happening.
The lifespan thing will eventually come into play, as it's been mentioned quite a few times throughout the series to foreshadow something. But we all know that's when Mikumo comes into play to somehow save/extend her life.
They literally only "ship" it because they saw them at the beach that one time (when they were talking about Messer) and latched on to it thinking there was something there. It's fine if you want to cling to that hope, just don't be disappointed later on when nothing comes of it.
Oh, I forgot about how hard fagged he is.
>/a/ claims it wants an anime with a cute cake protagonist
>Macross Delta happens
>They hate the cake
100 to 1 its mikumo going off on her own. Freyja has to hold Walkure together as the only ace, and there'll be complications when we get the first true idol vs idol situation in Macross.
>Is this a good indicator?
Should be, but feels weird that they forgot everything about her other than her relationship business, unless they are planing to make Hayate a literal part of her life or the basis for her to develop.
Hayate and Freyja are two people who live in the now and enjoy the moment without thinking too much on the future. They're too focused on being happy in the present. You seriously think these two will let something that will happen 15 years from now ruin a perfectly good shot at love?
You people are acting like Freyja dying is happening tomorrow. It's not. She's still got 15 years left. Wow, a whole fucking 15 years! 15 years that they can use to be happy and in love.
All this "Freyja will die so Mirage will win" is getting fucking ridiculous. Find better reasons on why Mirage should win and then build your arguments based on that.
She's really gonna suffer the most, right? I hope they don't make her suffer because of Hayate choosing Mirage.
If 16 is any indicator, building a relationship using the suffering of someone else as a foundation it's the wrong path and just won't fly.
He lied. It was either that or say "well Hayate your dad nuked a planet and kills millions of people, leaving untold grief and destruction behind and making many of his former comrades hate him but other than that he was a pretty cool guy I guess."
Have to accept that there're some hater too. But I never bored because of her, hoina is cute and fun to watch.
Mirage is suffering on her own. Hayate and Freyja built their relationship without her. It's one of those funny triangles where the main couple is unaware there's even a third wheel.
>Hayate ignoring Freyja
>Ignoring the only girl he's paid attention and fagged over for the last 16 episodes
>Ignore the girl who gave him his motivation to start chasing his dreams again
>Ignore the girl who is always inspiring him and he inspiring her to reach their dreams
>Ignore the girl who he can't see pretending to be fine when she's not without getting angry and frustrated
>Ignore the girl whom he has put his life on the line on more than one occasion just to protect her
>Ignore the girl he's stated on more than one occasion that he will protect her
>Ignore the girl who he agonized over the perfect gift to make her happy
>Ignore the girl he's always looking at fondly and as of episode 16 as a lovesick teenager
>Ignore the girl whom he recently realized his feelings may be more than just platonic
>Ignore Freyja in order to suddenly look at Mirage romantically when all he's done is support her as a friend and ignore when she's opening up to him about personal matters and then brings up Freyja as the biggest Freyjafag
Mirage will get her development but don't expect Hayate to become a Miragefag.
Yeah it's still too early so just watch the show and enjoy current episode.
Can I call it Hayate's fault? I mean he didn't aware of being friendly to girl, he even hugged her.
Hayate just fucking ditches Mirage in the middle of their "date" and runs off to buy Freyja's present, and they think somehow that Hayate doesn't care about Freyja and will go for Mirage. Miragefags are absolutely delusional.
>Can I call it Hayate's fault? I mean he didn't aware of being friendly to girl, he even hugged her.
Well I don't know about you, bro. But if someone has just saved my life from an explosion, I'm hugging the fuck out of them even if they're a stranger.
It's called being grateful, not leading someone on.
Is Freyja cuteness incarnate?
They uh, kind of are.
The Zentradi life span is literally unknown as of 2045. Britai and others were known to be hundreds of years old, and they are absurdly resilient (they can survive in pure vacuum). Death of natural causes was not a thing Zentradi know much about.
Mirage is a quarter but we already know quarters are still stupid stronk by human standards. Ranka got briefly spaced and was totally unaffected by it. Living twice as long as a regular human if anything is probably being conservative.
I'm a HayaFre fag. But I'm a Freyja fag before that. I'm also a Hayate fag, and Mirage fag. I can't say I'm that much of a HayaMira fag yet, they need to work a bit more to convince me first. I'm most definately a Kumo fag, as well as a Kaname fag. In relation to that, I was even a MesaKana fag, but I feel like I can get behind being an AraKana fag. As a true Messer fag, I'm sure he would give his blessings. I'm Makina fag and a Reina fag, though I don't think I care enough to be a MakiRei fag. I'm also an Ernest fag and along with that an Elysion fag. I'm also a Chuck fag and a Chuck's family fag. As a Marianne fag I'm not giving up that she'll be reunited with her family in the end.
I'm no Aerial Knights fag, but I'm a Windermere fag. That place is dope. I'm of course a bit more of a Ragna fag though, best Brisingr Cluster planet, no joke. I'm also a Vordor fag. Comes from being a cat person fag. That reminds me, I'm definately a Cat Ace Papa fag. I ship him with his family.
I had a point originally, but I got lost writing down all my fag identities
Yeah bro. I know about all your SDF references and how you use them to justify Mirage winning but I'm gonna make a simple observation.
Hikaru was a Minmayfag. Minmay looked at Hikaru as an escape, never as a serious love choice. Misa was a Hikaru fag. Hikaru realized his Minmayfagginess wasn't being properly reciprocated and begins to turn to Misa. Minmay realizes she likes Hikaru. Drama ensues but it is now too late because Hikaru has chosen Misa who was a Hikarufag and could actually offer him attention.
Hayate is a Freyjafag. Freyja is a Hayatefag. They're both fags for each other. Mirage is also a Hayatefag. But, here comes the twist. The hesitation that characterized HikaruMinmay which was what ultimately allowed Misa to win the bowl, does not exist in this case. If there's no crack between Hayate and Freyja's "relationship" then how does Mirage squeeze herself in as a better option when there's nothing that she can fix?
Shocking. I know.
You should probably just call yourself a Deltafag and be done with it, rather than trying to microscopically quantify and label every dimension of your faggotry like you're on tumblr.
>Hayate isn't a Freyjafag
You clearly need to rewatch Delta.
Anyway, it was just a simple observation. Make of it what you want, I'm not here to argue with people who are set on their opinions.
Remember when everyone thought this was to be Hayate's birthday? What a nice prospect we had and full of possibilities.
Instead, kawamori or someone else's bias is making big efforts in ruining the series.
I like to think this is /a/ only and not every freyjafag is this simpleton.
He doesn't have to be a fag for anyone, they should all be their own personas before and foremost.
They're baiting us. They made we thought that it gonna be Freyja's birthday with she worrying about her life span. And then they betting us with Hayate's daddy issue made us thought that is gonna be Hayate's birthday with Freyja pity sing at him or Mirage cheering him up. But we got Freyja's birthday with love triangle drama insteasd. This episode was perfect though.
Hayate and Alto are literally faggots. Hayate wears a fucking hairclip for fuck's sake.
Hikaru is relatable, with all his weaknesses and flaws he's human, and a not so shitty one at that if you disregard episodes after 27 which were never meant to be.
Also he doesn't like to suck cocks in his free time like Hayate and Alto.
"fag" is how we convey that that's the person they care/pay attention to the most
Hayate being called a Freyjafag=he cares about Freyja the most
Freyja being called a Hayatefag=she cares about Hayate the most
Just because you care a lot about someone doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
None of them are real people. They do what the writers have them do. And you can either like what you get, or like not watch it if you're not liking it. The people constantly bitching here about how it "should" be, are the most fucking annoying fags here, bare none. NONE.
Yes we all have opinions on how things should have gone, but keep it yourself you goddamn mongloids. Not everyone shares your stupid opinions.
I'm not saying we shouldn't speculate on how we think things will go, but I'm fucking tired of people bitching about how things should already have went. If I don't like a show, I just drop it.
Calm down anon. Here have a cute Delta bunnies.
Are you really this stupid to trying to make others not express their opinions in a goddamn opinion board.
Where do you think you are. What the hell is wrong with you and your mediocrity? You need everyone around to suck your dick to enjoy the day? the nerve of some people ffs.
>He isn't as of now
>He wasn't satisfied by giving Freyja something material and shallow as a gift. He thought deeply of her, and how she misses her planet sometimes.
>He sighed her name as if longing in the last scene we have of him so far.
Totally not a Freyjafag anymore.
Fag has been synonymous with "person" here for more than a decade now I would think. Like its simply how 4chan board culture refers to others. When some is an X-fag, its pretty much that they're a fan of X. But fag is pretty much interchangable with 'person' completely, in all of its uses here, including as a fan.
Like you hinted at, fag is completely neutral here by now
oh wow, that's an old chart. It doesn't even appear to sort them by episodes
So happy to see miragefags trying so hard to defend their ship albeit their ship is already sinking hard. Miragefags living under the delusion that their character will win the triangle.
Why are there three different version of the first episode of Frontier? I about to start and it caught it me off guard. Are the different versions just shipbait or what?
>implying this is a thing
This is retroactive reasoning. Were Freyja to win looking back we'd say: how could they still have believed in Mirage she had NO character development even at ep 16 while Freyja steamed ahead.
Were Mirage to win it would be: Of course Mirage won given they used Freyja as a spring board for Hayate to work out his feelings.
Neither interpretation is more correct than the other because this event has no bearing on the out come. Things could be blind sided at any time.
As it stands though, Freyja is winning in a big way. Eat dicks Miragefag.
like with delta, frontier's first episode aired as special half a year early before the actualy broadcast. It had other scenes in it than the broadcast version. Its a strange practise because animators dont normally take the time to animate different scenes. Anyway, the third version of the episode is a slightly longer episode, and it includes all the scenes from both versions.
Delta is doing the same thing. The 0.89 had some minor scenes that the later episode 1 didn't, and of course episode 1 continued for about 3 minutes after 0.89 stopped. BD release will have a combined version episode with everything in it.
>Because she's the one feeling the love the most?
Ah that's an interesting way of doing things. I didn't know that was a thing because I only picked this up at episode 10.
>tfw like Mirage the most
>tfw can't even be mad at Freyja winning because of the hoina
look at the size of that rune, LOOK.
runes are truly clits. They enlarge and get red when excited
>But she doesn't know it's love yet. Still counts?
If anything it's really shitty level of writing, Hayate doesn't have any feelings for Mirage, Mirage didn't have any feelings for him but now since some poeple pushed her she suddenly got some and is in the triangle, even so much she cries at seeing Hayate and Freyja interacting now...
It's idiotic, it's like the writer was forced to make a triangle he didn't want and did it in the leaziest possible way with just writing Mirage suddenly have feelings for Hayate for no reason just to be in the triangle happening now.
That facial expression from mirage.
while technically true, i think the main argument he was making is that her winning now for no reason, is that it's just one hell of an asspull
We have 10 more episodes, less than half of the show, and obviously things are going to start to ramp up towards the final conflict so every episode from here on now, can't and won't be devoted to the love triangle.
This means that in order for a Mirage win to come across as not an asspull, they need to develop it. It needs to have grounds to stand on , on its own merits.
I'm not saying it cannot happen. I'm saying they need to start acting on it decisively, and do it soon, if that is truly the direction they intend to take it in. Or, you know, have her win for no reason. But that'd seem like an asspull
Yeah, next few eps are key. This episode was a turning point, but for what we don't know yet.
If the Freyja focus carries on as it has done all series, then Kawamori is ending the triangle early for once and it's a Freyja end.
If Mirage's characterisation gets focus, and it's not her moving away from the triangle (mainly if she gets something as romantic as the snow scene) then it'll be a Mirage end.
Minoringo's entry about this episode. It seems like this is the episode she said was her favourite for now. God Bless You and the other song that Freyja sang must also be among her favourites because she says she loves them a lot.
I keep thinking she'll play a big role at cheering up Hayate once he finds whatever truth Arad is hinding about his dad. Freyja too, but Mirage may be in a better position because she knows firsthand what it's like to feel weighted down by your family's legacy (she tried to in this episode but Hayate is for now unconcerned about this link between him and his father). Also, for now Mirage is the one who is there for him when he's dealing with heavier stuff like killing his first enemy or Messer's issue.
This scene makes me want to protect her smile!
You are all are thinking this but nobody is sayiog it.
It feels like they are just gonna use Hayate 's dad dropping the bomb to create DRAMA with Freyja once again. Of course it will all rest into her shoulders to reach a peacefull resolution with a new song.
I really truly want to believe they are not treating their audience like imbeciles with such simpleton plot points but the trend so far is not doing them any favors.
Yeah, the nuke could easily be the crack that allows Mirage to nudge in between them.
Or it could be that, while it'll strain the relationship a bit, they'll weather it and by doing so their relationship be stronger than ever. If Kawamori is going for an UNDERSTANDING end with humans and windies, then them overcoming all the bad history between them and still having a good relationship will mirror how humans and windies will eventually get past all the bad blood between them and put an end to the cycle of hate between the two races.
But we really need to wait and see how the next few eps go.
Oh my. This sheds some light one some previous comments she made in a magazine. She said seh would sing the song of a person she likes very much. We all thought it meant she would sing a cover of a previous macross song. A lot of us thought it would seikan hikou, because we know she's a fan of Nakajima Megumi. But this line here:
>I got to sing the song made by Sakamoto Maaya that I like very much
So the episode she was talking about as the one episode she would like above most others, was episode 16.
Well, I don't it's possible to create more intimate scene with Hayate and Freyja than we got in this episode. The next step is only baby making and I don't think they will show it.
I don't care what kind of fag you're, but what Mirage need is personal development, when she get it, it doesn't matter she win or lose the "Hayatebowl" anymore.
It's not really that complicated, though the problem is, the show only have 10 episodes left, i don't really have faith that they still have time to develop her.
That's pretty nice of her. I can't wait for the full version. I'm sure Maaya did a good job because only the few lyrics we listened to its very good and I might like it more than Giraffe Blues.
I was for Misa. I wasn't for anyone in 7 because it had no mentionable romance. Except I kinda shipped Komilia when I saw the movie. I never though the Frontier series ended ambigiously, It was pretty clear win for Sheryl. I probably did like Mao more than Sara, but Sara was way hotter and I couldn't for the life of me picture Mao and Shin together. I don't think I ever cared for the triangle in plus, but I liked both Isamu and Guld, the latter because of his selfsacrifice in the end.
Seeing how Asami Seto(Mirage's VA) feels from the interview, it's likely that she won't go to any Macross Delta event unless it's a event that she already signed the contract.
>It feels like they are just gonna use Hayate 's dad dropping the bomb to create DRAMA with Freyja once again.
Honestly, if it causes DRAMA between Freyja and Hayate, a hayafrey end is practically confirmed.
The theme of Hayate not being able to "reach" Freyja has been in several eps now. With ep 16 showing us that Hayate is getting warm and fuzzy feelings for her, any DRAMA between them could be the wake up call he needs to realise that he doesn't want to lose her. Hence him finally putting some effort into actually making the connection (which on her end happened in ep 13 with her song "reaching" him) mutual. If they really wanted to be heavy handed with the symbolism they could have him actually managing to successfully physically reach her.
A strong Hayafrey union resulting from bomb DRAMA = physical bridge between two warring species = them becoming the Max and Milia of Delta and leading both races into a new era of peace.
Heck, Mirage has already brought up the Max/Milia connection in regards to Freyja already.
Or the drama could tear them apart, or Hayate could never reach Freyja, in which case Mirage end. BUT I WANT TO BELIEVE DAMMIT
Remember when Mirage was completely shit pilot and she worried about it a lot? And then she talked with Kaname who was in a somewhat similar position completely outshined by Mikumo and Freyja. And then after that conversation Mirage accepted the fact that she didn't have natural skill as Hayate, but just like Kaname she couldn't give up and she would continue fighting. She was going to try and find what she was good at. That was all in episode 12. But obviously completely retarded shipperfag like you missed all that development.
Miragefags love to scream that "I just want Mirage to git gud". Why? And how? Their completely dead brain is filled with nothing but shounen tropes when a character suddenly discovers a secret ability and becomes OP in a single episode just because. That's not how it works in real life. That would be the real shitty writing they love to complain about. And actually even if Mirage suddenly became a super good pilot they would be disappointed. Because the only thing they want is Mirage to win the bowl.
Miragefags are cancer and they do not deserve anything.
Hey now, she may be a loser, but she's a pretty good looking loser.
I remember someone posted 2 interview with Asami Seto, of course she won't directly said she feel disappointed, but it feels like it when she said "i don't know why Mirage in love with Hayate" and "i'm not sure was there any Mirage's moment".
How do I get into Macross? Mindset-wise. Should I approach it like Symphogear or something?
I'm considering watching it from the first series.
It's a pretty damn cute post all through.
>It's story that I love filled with Freyja's love as well as my own.
>To Mirage, To Hayate and most of all to Freyja its a story that will become an important starting point I think. The song written by Kitagawa Shori that I like very much, The song written by Sakamoto Maaya who I like very much that I got to sing, I'm truly happy.
>For those that saw it, what did you think?
>For those that have yet to see it, please look forward to it
>Freyja cannot afford to waste a single day or a single moment.
>But because of that, in her short time, she is surely filled with more feelings inside her small chest than anyone else.
>Freyja, Happy Birthday
I don't get why she'd so disappointed though.
Aren't the VAs told who'll win the triangle / how much screentime their character is getting from when they sign up?
The only reason I'm seeing for her being disappointed is if she thought it'll be a close triangle like Frontier where both girls get roughly equal screentime, and instead was blindsided with this onesided triangle we're getting right now.
>Aren't the VAs told who'll win the triangle / how much screentime their character is getting from when they sign up?
Not really, sometimes VA doesn't even know his/her character will die til he/she get the script of that character's death episode.
Is this Kawamori's idea of balanced development?
Because the side who choose to live with the songs will have enough happiness in her/his life already surrounded of music and love.
So the other side who lives with military hardships deserves the family ending much more so he/she gets exactly that.
When she got offer to voice one of Macross characters who was also Jenius she probably though she will be the second coming of Milia. Turns out Mirage is completely different kind of character with completely different role.
I'm pretty sure they aren't told who will win or how it will play out. They only find out as they're recording.
As far as we know they've recorded until episode 22 so for Mirage's VA to be disappointed points to Mirage's character still getting shafted until the 22 point mark. If you were a VA and you knew your character gets better further into the story, you wouldn't be disappointed and instead say things like "I'm cheering for her! Stay strong Mirage" because you know things will get better.
No, they don't know much and it depends on the character. Remember that Messer's seiyuu, Uchiyama Kouki, learned Messer would die the day he went to record the episode.
I'm sure Minoringo knows the most of all of them but even she doesn't know everything. I can't say what Asami knows but whatever it is, it's either because of how her character is been treated so far or/and how this will keep on going.
It's really interesting how every single detail in this show, matters. Right down to the logo on Mikumo's casual shirt. The triangles on her shirt was also the triangles on the necklaces Hayate and Mirage were looking at when shopping for a gift for freyja. I wonder what that symbol means
If she was disappointed, it could mean that mirage is not treated the way it should be in the story. She knows mirage better than anyone of us here since she is the VA. Therefore, having her feeling disappointed is not something to be taken lightly.
She explicitly stated she was happy to voice one of Jeniuses. So maybe she expected Mylene, who knows. But the point is that VA is disappointment not with Mirage's treatment, but her overall secondary role in this show.
Why would her saying "Stay strong Mirage" be an absolute indicator that things are only going south for Mirage? In a way it seems Mirage at this point is at her low point. From when the interview was made, people would read it just prior to this. So her encouragment for Mirage to stay strong, is still fresh in people's memories as they see what is likely her lowest point.
Even if it's not true, what she said is no gospel on how things will turn out.
Even as a Freyjafag I think you're full of shit. Space elf is hot as fuck.
It is what it is, already happened.
Minmay should have won, there was no triangle for the first 24 episodes, only Hikaru and Minmay, and Misa make a like of her own.
That's some fucking shit tier level reasoning there. Some kind of hardship accounting? Also I love how you just gloss over the fact that Walkure are employed by the same company, fight the same war and put their life on the line just as much.
While it is no gospel of truth as you said, if Mirage's VA, the person who knows her most up until episode 22 and knows what happens until that point, is disappointed, it's an indicator of how things have progressed for Mirage up to the point. But like you say, it's not absolute but you can't brush it off either.
The swetest love story that couldn't be.
Damn bro, calm your tits. It's an expression of opinion. If you can't handle people saying what they think then maybe you shouldn't be here. Anyway, stick to your own reasoning and I'll stick to mine. It's not like anyone is attacking you.
Still heavily pushing Mikumo, but the figures for the two female characters of Delta look Decent. I think a lot of ppl have a hard time drawing Mikumo's face
After seeing so much negativity from shit posting and other things, it's nice to see a post that's the polar opposite, even though it was made somewhere else completely.
I really hope all the characters get satisfying ends in this one.
So, Kaname VA was a bit of a MesaKana fan. And Kawamori being Kawamori (if it indeed was his doing) led to Messer VA listen in on Kaname VA's recording. His line "Please sing, Kaname san" are words she cannot forget and they stung her very hard.
Does anyone have more photos or reports from the interviews on Cut magazine? I read on twitter the Walküre talk was especially funny. They discussed stuff about ikemen, abs, Minorin went into full Boguefag mode again and Kiyonon said something funny about Keith.
Holyshit he's a monster. Bravo Kawamori
I wonder how will Kaname's VA feel when Kawas makes Kaname/Arad a reality for good.
I bet it's like when Chrom Chrom's a FemRobin inside against the player's will.
I can imagine Kiyonon being all "kyaaaaa!" when she saw the handsome guy her character was paired with, then a "nani kore?" worthy of Nonon when she learned her character will actually end up with an old man.
>I love you you are like the sister I never had
>Seto-chan before broadcast→The hotly anticipated Macross Heroine role! Even better, it's a character in the Jenius family!
>So how has Mirage been performing in the show?
>Seto「I wonder? (She's done nothing)」
>Newbie Suzuki「She's turning seriously dere isn't she lol (But it doesn't really matter since Freyja stands out more in battle and in romance!)」
Something like that.
>Freyja stands out more in battle
Fuck, she does, by her buffs. Hayate + Mirage would've never taken down SHIROKISHI but Hayate + Freyja-buffs did.
>mfw the Bard makes all the difference.
Just a reminder. 5 stages of grief.
>"Mirage will win!", "Older girl always wins!", "She will get her episode soon!"
2. Anger <- some miragefags are still here
>"It's bad writing", "She was supposed to be one of the main heroines, they lied to us!"
3. Bargaining <- majority of miragefags are here now
>"Hayate is gay so it doesn't count as a loss", "I just want her to get good", "At least give her"
The faster you move to stage 5 the better these threads will be.
This is typical delusional fujoshitpost paraphrasing. I was looking at some of these threads before and it was obvious that a lot of the anti posters were disillusioned women who liked MesaKana.
85. ***,481 *,*59,380 Macross Δ OP/ED "Ichido dake no Koi nara / Rune ga Pika tto Hikattara" by Walküre (Mikumo Δ JUNNA, Freyja Δ Minori Suzuki, Kaname Δ Kiyono Yasuno, Makina Δ Nozomi Nishida, Reina Δ Nao Touyama)
>*7. *15,105 *,*92,632 Walküre "Walkure Attack!"
Did we talk about these updates already?
Miragefags are just plain shitposters. Here's the original interview: and the source of Seto's "I wonder" line. That "nothing" was added by butthurt nipponese miragefag, it's not in the original (and that's why it's in brackets). Also there is no disappointment there, they all were laughing during that interview.
>Because she's the one feeling the love the most?
>Let's Hayate touch her rune no problems in direct contrast to the other times where she called him a pervert (indicating there is some sort of lewd aspect to it)
>Literally gives Hayate "fuck me" eyes while blushing hard
>But no man, she's not feeling anything there at all
Don't get depressed dude the development its a little stupid somehow but keep watching for a while longer, who know when the narrative might improve.
Still you are better than this cringe >>144457520
>I recorded AXIA which appears as the insert song in episode 10 right after I finished voice acting for the episode
>Messer, I sang this song only for you
>Messer, because of you my soul hurts
I'm really getting sick of you people thinking the narrative is bad because your girl isn't winning.
Wanting her to get more character development I can understand but anything else like "Why isn't this more equal" as if Kawamori has never done this kind of triangle before is retarded
>Macross Delta Scramble is due out for PS Vita in Japan on October 20. It will launch in both a 6,100 yen standard edition and 9,000 yen “Run Pika Sound Edition.”
Way to rewrite history
>Implying people gave a shit about Messer before the show started focusing on him
>Implying people weren't complaining about how every battle was looking the same with Messer and Keith always eye fucking
Hahaha yes. Their fold waves and character associated colors are blue and orange (complementary colors that when fused together produce a white light). And in their respective teams, Hayate is the Blue Siegfried while Freyja is the red Walkure. Blue and red.
Anyway. I need this fanart/scene to happen in the anime!
I do genuinely wonder if Hayate will keep on using Messer's siegfried. I get that him using it against Keith was like revenge but I'd like Hayate to go back to his original siegfried now. Mostly because I love blue and for sentimental reasons (his first VF).
1. Hikaru's confession to Misa in DYRL
2. This snow scene+God Bless You
3. Alto and Sheryl "final" kiss in episode 24 of F
4. Hikaru and Minmay's date in DYRL
5. Gigil sacrificing himself for Sivil in 7
Top five best romance scenes in Macross IMO (I had to think about this because surprisingly there isn't a whole lot of them)
If I had to guess, they will probably do a reverse of episode 13 or something similar to F episode 25 in Delta's last episode where it gets destroyed but "Hey we have another spare" and he gets his blue Valk for one last run (skull mark included)
