I did math on a couple figures.

Like for example the most expensive figure Huke Saber is $263 at otaku mode but $26 points back and 23800 from GSC.

That means the exchange rate would have to drop down to 100:1 to even be equalish.

Right now a lot of figures are about even with US retailers at 105:1 using EMS. However US retailers often have coupon sales for preorders, like CR has deal of the day, and otakumode has points sales, and island is doing 10% off right now.

But you also get your figures 2-3 months later.

Right now it seems like saving $5 and paying upfront isn't worth waiting a couple months. I'll probably be pissed off if it drops down to 100:1 though and Otakumode has all the figures I want during a 20x point sale. Still, getting figures 3 months later isn't worth it.

You can use your washer, but use low temperatures (max. 40°C) and the gentle setting.
Also, no bleach, no dryer, no wringing.

Other than that, hand wash it in your basin.
Use lukewarm water and some detergent, leave it for ~30 minutes in there, then wash it gently.
After that, try to squeeze out the water, no wringing again.
Then hang it to dry, either completely flat or fixed on one side, as it's flexible and could wear out, if you just hang it over a dryer.
