Finally caught up with the threads, and I just wanted to say how depressing yet amazing this episode was. A bit of out-of-character is always nice in shows like this. Really makes the characters feel like more than walking punchlines.

Even though he was really being insulted by them, he was totally immersed in his own world and responded with “You’ve finally come to me, Karamatsu Girls.” That scene is very Karamatsu. But he also has a kindhearted side to him, and he rarely gets angry at others. Also, he surprisingly cries a lot. When he isn’t putting on airs and his honest feelings come out, he cries easily

Osomatsu-niisan was browsing for porn in the rental dvd shop and mentioned, "wait..isnt this..." meaning he recognized someone from one of the dvds-----its the girl jyushimatsu likes! So she's a porn star. Whether or not she was forced to do it or simply having regrets is unknown but this is most likely why she went all suicidal. If you see closely in the beginning when the girl is reviving jyushimatsu, there's bandage wrapped around one of her wrists = implied previous attempts of suicide. Its not shown, but jyushimatsu gives a sweatband?wristband? thing so she can cover up her scars. He tries to make her smile until the very end and thanks her at the last scene.

Osomatsu-niisan didn't have money that day
