I'm /adventure/. Have played through some of my carts countless times. Firered and Leafgreen, along with Emerald especially. I often like to play through a game with ash's (or another anime characters) canon team.

Its also fun to challenge myself with stupid teams as well. I beat xy using a team of only nfe chespin and pikachu. Had to ev train them, and did a LOT of grinding, but I enjoy those things, and the reward was immense.

I also like to 'min-max shit to beat battle spot kids'.
Being a competent trainer is important to me, how can I expect my pokemon to trust me if I can't crush inferior trainers?

Same. I don't really enjoy getting repeatedly fucked by RNG in battle facilities.

I guess I'm /adventure/, mostly I like the side games such as Pokeathlon and such like - just battling can get a tad repetitive.

/padt/ is a relic of a bygone era. Keeping it around does /vp/ more harm than good.

They still have subpar speed and no Quiver Dance, but they have good coverage now. Psyshock could be good as well.

Shit idea, they are designed to derive their primary type by their dancing style. Just buff Revelation Dance or give it a cool secondary effect.
Besides, they're designed as double battle gimmick mons and they aren't even bad at it.

Because that implies they go through a concept-art stage - they probably snort cocaine and bang hookers for 9 months out of the year and double down for the last three months to actually make the game.

If Pokemon ever wants to be a legitimate e-sport with no barrier to entry, they are going to have to drop the whole breeding bullshit and simply let people create their team from scratch by pulling sliders à la Showdown.

Hell, create two separate leagues, one for pure simulation and another for "legit" bred 'mons so that breederfags will still have something to use their 1000+ of wasted hours worth of breeding on.
