If the environment felt a little fast paced there's plenty of other stuff to do that's a bit slower, apply at a pharmacy for example - morning is always slow.

I think this is pretty prevalent in the US right? I remember seeing supermarket cashiers just standing around when there are no customers, and there were like 5 registers open at the same time.

2nd invasion of Yugoslavia. I concluded a peace early last time because a UN resolution forced me to and i was too scared to be invaded by NATO again since last time (>>167972338) my country collapsed when that happened.

My goals here are to finally dismantle the confederation, release all constituent nations and then invade Macedonia and Montenegro separately to finally conclude greater Albania. Comintern is falling apart and multiple EE nations are republics now, but the USSR is still pretty strong, if Yugoslavia hadn't fallen out of communism sometime earlier in the 1980s im sure they would have prevented this.

If you want an enjoyable experience that's closer to history then turn all that shit off, start in 1066 (earliest historically accurate date) and turn matrilineal marriage off. The first arguably "matrilineal marriage" was centuries after the start when Maria Theresa married Francis I, and even that wasn't truly matrilineal as they simply merged their dynasties, the house of Lorraine and the house of Habsburg in Habsburg-Lorraine. There has never been a pure matrilineal marriage in European royalty, ever.

Complicated, yes, but that second part isn't exactly true. It's not that vampires don't enjoy sex, not at all, it's really more to do with older vampires just becoming jaded from everything after a few hundred years. The transition from a neonate to an ancilla is a very fraught one, and no matter the Sect, things change for the vampire as they get older. While sexual enjoyment is even more powerful in the higher generations with it almost being natural in the very highest (showing how they're closer to life than their olders), low generations can still spend blood to excite themselves and bring their organs back to life for a while. And that's before we get into bloodlines, sects, and even separate things like the Kue Jin (one dharma path which is to go hog wild on life that you didn't get to before you died), with different takes on sex.

That could maybe be a thing to bear in mind for lewdmod in CK2, in case it becomes it's own thing. Though of course being as it is a concurrent to the actual game, there wouldn't be way too many vampires to interact with anyways.

And that's why I was thinking of just shuttling those kind of monsters, that idea with a project I had already been toying with earlier, a WoD mod.

Well from a coding standpoint, at least as far as thinning of the generations goes, if I'm thinking right, from code that actually wouldn't be too hard. Traits could handle that easily, as it's not a genetic one, so a childe could be simply given a generation higher than their sire. That said, probably won't adopt the Gemininsnacht system of your vampire children showing up as your own, since I was intending this be playable WITH the game. So at least mechanically, if I'm understanding the code right, there wouldn't be any problems with actual handling of blood generations.

Don't get me wrong, I would like nothing more than to write some events for Succubi who weren't evil and were just doing what they had to to survive, maybe even looking for love in the process, since that's kinda my thing. I was speaking less of the coding side of it and more of what to do with thin-bloods. They're so different (able to eat human food, able to walk in the sun) that to some extent they'd need to have their own mechanics.

Also, I worry what would happen if the world gradually ran out of older-generation vampires able to sire new, strong vampires (t. VtM). I imagine there'll be vampire hunters in the fantasy module which will probably gradually take out the older vampires, which would leave progressively weaker vampires and eventually might threaten them being eliminated entirely.

I guess that could be solved with our own Antediluvian chain, though. Antediluvians wake up when the vampires start thinning too hard, and maybe can be made to wake up early under certain circumstances.

The original NWO is honestly just trash and unplayable. The economy doesn't even work for one. its so fucking buggy and wonky. CWE is still a little weird at times, and i think pop growth is a little high, but its far better and actually good.

Whenever I play hpm i have a boner for trains and train techs. I never let capitalists build trains though because they build them wrong. You're supposed to connect the capital state with the other major population centers and then branch out from there. Maybe investing in a massive cross country railroad later on if you are a big nation, like all the way to San Francisco from the east, or the trans Siberian. I don't think the technology system ever needed changing, certainly not to some sort of random arcadey thing.
Then again I've never cared about "ROTW", in the original EU board game you could only even play as eight nations, one of which was Ottomans, even in EU2 it was phenomenally hard to play outside of Europe without abusing a lot of mechanics. EU2 WCs as small countries or OPMs were pretty impressive.
I tried HOI4 a while back when it was first released and it just felt like the same thing, a big arcade game.
EU was supposed to be a game about the European exploration of the world. If you take away that flavour then I don't see why they even bother releasing games set in different periods. I'm not saying the old tech system was amazing but it had the right idea at heart.
Probably I've went on a bit too much here, but it's just my thoughts as a long time fan. (I prefer Vicky to EU but EU2 was my first love, I even wrote a Vinland mod for it back in the day).

The good DLC, there's a difference between Sword of Islam/Old Gods and Common Sense. Mainly that Common Sense decreases the quality of EUIV, where SoI and Old Gods increases the quality of CKII.

I prefer the Victoria II DLC model myself, but I could at least understand some of the earlier DLC for EUIV and CKII. Now it's just superfluous bullshit and depth in all the wrong places.

Some of that is an exaggeration - they are still after all, vampires. 14th generally can't, or if they're weak, with a lot of effort, 15th too, though still with much effort and not much. And they can't walk in the sun either - ones blessed or weak CAN be around for dawn and dusk, when the sun is at it's weakest, but it's hard on them. They still have to make it indoors before the sun truly rises.

That's fair. Although bringing babies to term for 14th and 15th generations is interesting. What are the children like; are they normal humans? Can 14th/15th generations mate with other 14ths/15ths? I don't want to veer this too far off into the direction of talking about the lore only, but I'm envisioning content for that, even if they're almost infertile and bringing the kid to term is difficult.

I know, but I'm thinking over the course of an entire game (so ~600 years), and probably with other fantasy content (like alchemy for example) which can increase martial and whatnot. And depending on circumstances I'm also imagining that there'll be entire holy orders which rise up with the intention of killing vampires, or at least vampires of a certain variety. My guess is that, by endgame, even with an insanely low chance of killing an elder vampire on any given attempt, there will probably be enough attempts made that a fair number of them are thinned out.

With that said, though, I guess Antediluvians don't need to wake up whenever the blood starts getting thin, but I think one waking up should be a possibility under specific circumstances. Perhaps vampires would need to have a presence in certain provinces in Asia Minor in order to find a sarcophagus for one of them, and then some bad shit (or dumb shit, IE they don't realize what it is) would need to go down for them to wake one on accident.

In fact, I'm probably getting ahead of myself here since I don't know the lore well, but these Antediluvians are, by their namesake, those who lived through Noah's flood. These guys are ancient even by biblical standards, and I could see some interesting Christian and Jewish heresies popping up in the event that an Antediluvian wakes up and decides to go on a rampage.

That's a good point, and I'm not sure. I'm thinking about vampires mostly in the context of other fantasy stuff, which has me in the mindset of humans being paranoid. If monsters and other such things are everywhere around, I feel like humans would be a LOT more vigilant, and it's not like vampires can wholly avoid being around humans, since they need them.

But, if vampires were a separate module, I guess they could probably exist without humans being certain about their presence, although they would suspect (unless the Masquerade, or its Medieval equivalent, were broken too much).

That makes me wonder what vampiric interactions with humans would be like, though. If they're entirely hidden it's not like you're actually going to engage with them much (aside from one-off feedings when they either kill you or muddle your mind so you forget), unless you yourself somehow become one. I guess I also had it in my mind that the way vampires would work, the violent/ugly/crazy ones (Nosferatu, Malkavian, and Gangrel, maybe to a certain extent Brujah in VtM terms) would be mostly kept out of cities, but others would be welcomed and given blood (albeit under a hell of a lot of scrutiny) in return for their services (diplomats, advisors, mages in the case of the Tremere).
