I Swear She’s Older Officer Edition
NOTICE: Pawn hiring is still fucked. You don’t gain RC or gifts from others renting your pawn. They do still seem to gain knowledge. This will hopefully be fixed Monday.
>Newfags Read the Following
-- You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
-- Just experiment; a few levels in this and that won’t ruin your goddamn build, you autist.
-- STOP asking “would you rent??” without posting their inclinations/skills. Good-looking pawns with Guardian or Acquisitor still go straight to the trash.
-- Character appearance can be changed later on, with an item bought in the Encampment.
-- Don’t miss your sidequests (http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Side_Quest_Progression)
-- Make sure you understand the romance system before you get too far: (http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Beloved)

Stop being a bunch of sissies and post webms.
If you had the choice, which one of these two would you hire
this is important
Starting a new game.
It's really a pain trying to train a class that's different from your own. My sorcerer is completely retarded because he never knows what elemental attribute to use for attacks/buffs except for "fire hurts them". I had to fight my way through Everfall with him casting lightning boon every fight so my hits didn't do shit.
Is there any way to transfer the CC data to a new character?
Is there a mod to make Pawn Lantern's have the same amount of lighting as MC Lantern?
Like they didn't do it on PS3/360 for obvious limitations but I think a PC can handle that easily enough.
"MT Framework cannot be modded!!!"

Rather than cheating, a lot of the scripts can be used to enhance the gameplay and can really extend your playtime. A rundown:
>Share weapon skills between classes
>Real time of day
>Cinematic time slow
>REMOVE SCATHER inclination editing
>Secret of Metamorphosis early-game
>GUIDE ON MODEL SWAPPING:

>trying to enter a name
>can't use backspace because backspace is bound to Close
>I apparently have a character I can't use, as per the *
>can't progress because when I try to delete a character it closes the menu
I'M GETTING FUCKING PISSED
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME I HAVE TO RESTART /AGAIN/
what's with the weird color banding/gradient that happens at night? how do i fix it?
Just be patient and reopen the name field every time it closes. Every backspace still removes one character, so it's just really shitty but not impossible.
stop making typos.
If you mean the ones on the ground, they're only glowing to indicate you can pick them up and throw them.
Yes, it's retarded that they are glowing.
The stuff you mine are Ore Veins which are in walls, you'll notice them eventually since they stick out and they're everywhere.
You can also give your pawns Pickaxes and they'll mine for you.
>retarded pawns keep hopping back and forth over it instead of helping me
>later one of them hops over a log and off a cliff
>have to be careful approaching logs and chests near cliffsides due to pawn retardation
I rarely jump. Why are they doing this and how can I get them to stop?
Is there a point maxing a class before changing to one that shares the same achetype? For example Strider to Assassin, don't they share some skills?
I only travel with pure, fully armored lasses of consenting age
I hate myself for wanting to have the best stats on my pawn.
You'll love BBI.
picturing this made me laugh really hard for some reason
how the fuck do you expect them to help you harvest a log? If one person gathers an item it prevents all others gathering at the same time from getting anything and you have to start the animation over
Asked the question in the previous thread, but I'll ask here too as that place is about to crash.
Pawns of what red/yellow vocation are the most useful?
One of them harvests the log while I walk a few feet away and pick up all that fucking mithrandite or whatever
I would be happy if they'd just stop jumping or do it less often it's like a fucking pawn cascade
No, you should thinkg of something you want your pawn to do, and then you put those skills/vocation on yourself and play with him for a few hours till he copies and and learned how to use that shit.
>jasper nowhere to be found for land of opportunity quest
>common bug, supposed to save and reload or leave city and come back
>try both 2 times each
>old fart won't appear, no quest marker
guess i won't do this one then
I think I need to edit the face shape and eyes. The eyes of the original picture are pointier, and the chin is wider, too.
What's so bad about DDO exactly? From everything I've seen it looks like the combat is extremely faithful to the original game, and I'm not really sure what else they could have fucked up.
it's called banding and reshade gets rid of it with the deband shader.
it doesn't have a western release
a lot of people don't like mmos
if it's buy to play or f2p it'll be infested with kids russians and mexicans
if it's pay per month, it'll be infested with neckbeards and it'll be pay per month
the game is so easy that you won't need it at all, if you want it for post-dragon stuff then you can easily get vocations up while being afk
the better idea is to play that class and enjoy it because the combat is pretty fun, so the moment you have a good weapon for it, switch. You want to play everything at least once. that way you don't have to grind for it but just get it while playing
>From everything I've seen it looks like the combat is extremely faithful to the original game
Fun and faithful to the DD series but it has a few trappings typical to MMOs. If you do play make sure to do so on world 13-00 as it's where a majority of the English speakers are.
imagine if you took the good parts of dragon's dogma
forgot what they were
added soulless mmo grinding to every aspect
made it so fighting difficult enemies is a matter of level and grinding the crafting system, rather than skill
locked the fun classes behind a 60 hour level grind
made the enemy tankiness of the very early game of dragon's dogma last through the whole experience
basically, it's an mmo
I cannot agree since it's just a de-filterer and doesn't use a depand shader. There's also this one you might like though.
Does the same thing.
That's me. You're still limited to only 6 skills and after about 5 minutes it gets boring to repeat the same shit. I need a bigger moveset. The game does get boring after 3000+ hours and I need this.
best skills for warrior pawn?
Damn mate, the Vita has a higher resolution and more power than your toaster.
Enjoy the game though
OH BOY! I SURE HOPE THIS FAIR-LOOKING MAIDEN IN TOTALLY NOT DISTRESS DOES NOT BACKSTAB ME BY THE PROBABLE TIME I MIGHT HAVE TO SAVE HER.
yeah I'd imagine most reshade's use it but maybe not.
You should have seen my face.
>enable fraps thinking I'm going to make some cool .webm to build up climbing hype in threads
Closer than I managed but you're right about the face shape and eyes
Does assassin ever get fun? Lvl 17 right now and it's kinda boring. I also don't seem to be doing that much damage. How should I lvl it up and am I better off switching to magic archer?
Has a decent selection of clothing though a few too many recolors.
With how fun Seeker is and how great Alchemist Monk looks I'm hoping Capcom brings out some more fun classes.
It's an all-round decent augment, though it's actually the Blue classes that like it the most since gusts of wind interrupt spellcasting and have sometimes massive AoEs. Being able to get that Heal off or finish a Bolide whilst something roars/flaps its wings puts things solidly in your favour, and it's good for pawns since they will never account for those moves.
It's a very decent quality of life augment in BBI where you have to deal with gigantic AoE knockdown alot.
I wouldn't even know how to start.
I guess using that memory scanning shit with CE. Scanning for the first skill, changing the skill and scanning again on what changed. But I can't even seem to do it with simple number values. I hope you can do it man. All my hopes and dreams rest on your shoulders.
I noticed that too.
Also tons of details on armor I failed to notice too. Also in the area with the Rift Crystal in the tutorial there's that massive mural I completely failed to notice on console version.
Doesn't matter how your pawn looks, what equipment it has, or what skills it has. Without good inclinations it's a retard who does nothing.
Medicant is a pretty bad inclination.
Does an inclination being Primary or Secondary make any difference?
I tried, it had to compare so many memory addresses that it took 15 minutes for 1 scan and then it just crashed after it was done.
I just need that 1 address, then I can do the rest with AHK.
sure assigned stuff wouldnt have a nice interface then, but who cares.
Tfw been trying to patch the game for the past few weeks.
>finally got it to work
>another new patch came out
I wish I didn't have to download that 500mb patch with the launcher, now I'll never be able to play it again.
Two noob questions
1, How do I get Caxton's escort quest to become available? Do I gotta raise his affinity or do i need to be in a certain stage? i'm in stage 2 with two wyrm quests done.
2, how do i get the dragonforged's escort quest to become available? wiki says you can only do it while "come to court" is available but not accepted.
I don't get this game
I started out and grabbed a sword, some big ass dragon appeared, I did a 180, ran away
then it clawed me and a cutscene happened, but I accidentally skipped it trying to exit my steam overlay with ESC
Woke up in a house, learned I could pick people up, picked the girl up and threw her off a cliff (got 10xp).
I killed a bunch of rabbits and seagulls and shit (I'm a mage?) and went along to this encampment. I hired some soldiers or whatever, and then some ogre attacked. They kept going "ATTACK HIM ATTACK HIM", but I fell down the cliff and lived with like 90hp. I healed up and found some goblins on the beach (it was night), but before I could attack I was teleported to where the ogre guy was and got a bunch of exp and a quest complete?
i don't know what the fuck I'm doing
what am I supposed to do
Also, how to increase movement speed/maximum stamina? I'm slow as shit.
Wait, wait, wait I can transfer my ps3 save to pc?
This is a game changer for me, might actually push to buy the pc version.
Any word on how to make two different arisens without buying the game twice?
I'd like to transfer my ps3 save, start a new game on pc and then hire my own console pawn.
At what point are the missable quests (the Cassandris beginner ones) failed? Is it after you bring the Hydras head back or is it when you first talk to Ser Maximillian about the Wyrm Quests.
If she's aggroing consistently then that's fine. The issue with a nonaggressive primary is that sometimes they aren't getting out ahead and aggroing properly. Keep an eye on her. If she's doing a good job then great.
>Any word on how to make two different arisens without buying the game twice?
might be posible if ddda has family sharing actiavted,
that way you can create a new accoun for a new arisen/pawn ID and just give the game to yourself.
>mfw trying to find a pawn that doesn't have unnaturally shiny blue, green or yellow eyes
I get that this is a fantasy game and you can create your perfect fantasy waifu as your pawn, but then there's no good looking pawns for me to hire.
>Is your gear (weapon) up to date?
Using the dlc gear you get from the in and my weapon seems to be the best you can get at grand soren
Well that's why I was asking if it gets any better you fuck
Friend of mine is having a weird issue with Dragon's Dogma on PC, whenever he moves his camera around or something like that he says the area jitters wildly or something like that. The odd part is whenever I try to use steam to watch his stream it fixes itself. He's messed with graphical options and it still happens. Anyone know what the fuck could be causing this?
>extract all sweetfx files into the directory next to DDDA.exe
>replace the SweetFX_Settings file within the clean and natural preset
>launch game, nothing is activated, none of the sweetfx hotkeys do anything
what did i fuck up? never used sweetfx before, using sweetfx 1.5 since that's what the preset recommended
Gonna buy this shit in a few days since I'm enjoying it. What I'm concerned about is that people's decent looking pawns will be of higher level than me. How do you deal with this on consoles? Limiting to only one character at a time sucks ass too and is my biggest complain.
>dat 2h weapon movement
>fighting phantoms during a night
Have you tried consulting with the people at CE forum? Maybe they can help.
Otherwise if you know of a way that is just a shitload of work you can try explaining it to me and I'll just keep at it. I'll spend as much time as needed as long as it gets me results.

Well, guess I'll be hitting the bed for tonight, I've gotta save strength to do my usual work tomorrow.
I sure hope Gandalf the Strong and these 2 warrioresses don't get too wild.
I think this quest broke. I gave Selene the herbs and was told to get my reward from this nigger, but he keeps telling me I'm busy with stuff.
But muh pure fantasy-esque look
Green and blue eyes are fine. Just as long as they're not the shiniest fucking sparkliest elf eyes that you can see from a mile away.
Normal human eyes for me please. Everything in moderation.
Also, why do all pawns look like they were made by a 13-year old girls hopped up on fantasy girl cartoons?
Where can I check for my main Pawns inclination? I want him to be Challenger/Utilitarian
My pawn has muted eye colors and a sensible, attractive and rare hairstyle, a suitable voice for the body type and is neither a midget or loli. Also equipped with uncommon three-starred gear.
You will never see my pawn in your rift.
What is the logic behind the bandit groups?
I take on nearly all of them fine, and then the arseholes with sword and board spend the rest of the fight tanking arrows and downing my pawns so I keep having to revive them.
Am I not meant to progress this way? I honestly can't tell, because the archers and dagger users are pretty easy kills.
>got a bunch of friend requests in the last few hours leading up to release

if you are very lucky then sorceror, because if you can get your sorceror to cast miasma on your grand cannon it does insane damage
otherwise i'd say fighter so they can learn to perfect block from you
It increases enemy damage, resistance to staggering and stamina usage. But also doubles exp gained and makes enemies shit out gold.
Essentially, the game turns into everything 1-3 shots you, forever. But in exchange you're sat at level 200 with a billion gold in half a day.
200 is the level cap
when you get there it runs into infinite
DDDA.exe? i did, nothing happened.
it created a log file in the directory, and says "initialising shader environment / redirecting device->Reset" 3 times. surely that means i fucked up something somewhere
Question about the lore, including important spoilers for the end of the game.
So if an Arisen gets to the Seneschal and loses against it, they become the Dragon and if they win they become the Seneschal itself.
But then, if they kill the current Dragon and then defeat the Seneschal suddenly there's no Dragon to make more Arisen or to test their will and be a gatekeeper for beyond the rift.
THEN HOW THE FUCK DOES THE CYCLE KEEP GOING?
Piratefags, hows the pirated version? does it work like normal?
Silly anon, dark elves are not niggers
Making him my fighter pawn, I'm an assassin
what do I want to go for here?
Playing as Ranger only using bow is pretty comfy, specially when the weapon gets enchanted
Any warrior pawn with a charge move is a no-go unless you're tanking for it. Any vocation with gap closing ability or ranged attacks are pretty foolproof.
Strider pawns are some of the most aggro sonsabitches ever
FUCK THIS GAME
I FUCKING BURNED MY FISH CHIPS FUCKING 2 HOURS IN THE OVEN
>tfw having fun stabbing aught to death as Strider
>tfw can't decide between assassin and magic archer
Is this the worst hell? I kinda want flashy magics, but I try not to abuse bows too much.
S-should I just get both?
>That's weird I remember the start of the game being a lot more difficult than this...
Ah, I forgot about this guy.
DAT ASS is really the only reason to play DDO
also i was awoke for about 30 hours cause of this game. good times. i just awoke from my coma, ate a bit, and gonna power it up again soon. when i'm done with the general /vg/posting.
Thank fucking god I wasn't the one who opened this chest
you deserve it for being a pirate/cheating piece of shit
Yep, idiot just ran right off the edge.
Doesn't mean I can't pretend otherwise.
I'm playing as Gary Oldman and I need down to earth looking pawns.
My pawn a shit too though, but at least not sparkly eyes sorcerer elf loli waifu shit. I need some other pawns to make the group look more natural.
I thought it would be cool to roleplay as a dad with a child who's mom died so he's forced to take her with him.
I thought about making a boy first, but the young boy voices sound weird as shit. So I just tried to make her look like Arya Stark who was a boyish girl.

>Sure let's get on that - wait is that a mother fucking third ogre behind the gate
>Plan B: we go full Auschwitz and gas his ass from behind the door, it doesn't stop miasma.
>Wait where the fuck did my pawns go
>Not really pacing myself with the spells since I can get exhausted without getting hit
>40%, here comes the frenzy
>Enjoy hitting that gate sucker
>Guess they found the switch
>Still in the middle of my exhausted animation
>he crushes me 2 times with his back, try to think of something creative, fuck nothing working, fuckfuckfuck. damage him for about 5% of his life, die a miserable death.
>ok i gotta play this cool. wait for a good opportunity. yeah just keep hitting him while i think of something. oh wait--- he just fell.
My pawn is a generic blonde girl with blue eyes if that makes you feel any better
They became a dragon
Those wyrms and wyverns out there are also former arisen (see their dialogue) so I imagine one of them steps up to the plate of The Dragon if needed
Then there's Ur Dragon for an example of what happens if a world is too shitty to produce any decent Arisen
My characters always end up with a serious case of Olivia Wilde jaw.
So how does the MK magic parry works? do you have to block and when you're attacked press the button or do you have to "enchant" the shield first and then just block an attack at the exact moment?
Ok so my pawn is a level 30 warrior with challenger/scather 480 str 350+ def a good skill set and good augments. She's ranked 32,000 when i see her rank. What gives? I have friends with some chitty ass pawns ranked around 18,000.
If I see a a pawn on the doc tha is level 200 I'm not gonna use it. Don't just cheat your pawn to 200 as fast as possible and expect people to flock to you. It's fucking dumb.
If you want RC, just cheat that in.
Is it just me?
I couldn't find Jonathan in the encampent, nor do I see him in the guild.
Building up an assassin here.
is it a good idea to level up the base vocations first to get certain augments before switching to assassin? are the strength augment from fighter and warrior worth getting?
not really looking to min/max but I dont want to completely fuck up my stats.
The witchwood quest isn't in my quest log but my pawns are still going about quina
Why has it vanished or was it never there?
Not done anything beyond the first village and the camp so I haven't passed the failure point
>assessing pawns in the rift
>first thing I do is check their ears
Enchant it first. Regular blocks hit them for a bit of damage with the element, perfect blocks hit for more damage and are more cinematic.
What happened to her eyebrows, anons?
Also, does anybody have more screenshots of her?
>lmao fuck your gay ass magic nigga
>just going to grab your ass and smash it.
based devilfire drake
2 Pawns died on the way there. Had only 1 left, he died to Ballista fire. After that it was me and the soldiers who stormed through the gate. Before I knew the yard was swarmed by like 3 Cyclops and a gorillion goblins. I managed to stay alive but the Commander got rekt.
I just met him the first time, and I don't see why people hate him.
Yeah he made fun of you and gave you a silly hat, but that's literally his job. You're the mighty big swinging dick arisen hydra slayer and he's there to take you down a notch and remind you that people can still laugh at you. Plus, it lightened the mood of an otherwise shitty ceremony.
Plus his lines are good.
>The glorious return of the inimitable, the indomitable, the unforgettable...
>Scratch that last one. Who were you again?
Didn't know that you could fail that quest and move on. But this game is full of nifty lil' details.
I got Fighter 5 Sinew, Warrio 3 Ferocity, Strider 3 LessBowrecoil, Ranger 2 Brighter Lantern
could get those really fast, no grind
next is Strider 9, fighter 8 and warrior 9, but I will play those depening on the weapon I find so I do good damage and doing it while normally progressing through the game, no need to grind when everything is fun that way.
keep in mind that you don't need any of that to beat the game, it's just numbers game.
Another good idea is to switch to your pawns vocation/weapon and teach him how to use is skills correctly. Stuff like, Doouble jump Helmsplitter combo for strider, teaching theme to hid that fireexplosive arrow into weakspots for maximum damage. It's really fun if you see your pawn imitating you.
How do I make the cutest trap femboy possible, /ddg/?
Why the fuck does sorceror get vocation ranks so much slower than other classes? My pawn is rank 8 and I'm a mesely rank 6. This is some bullshit, man. I want my grand bolide.
You can't get Grand versions of spells through normal rank-up methods. You can only upgrade spells to tier 3 with BBI rings.
You will never have Grand Bolide without that ring.
>My pawns face when ELVES
All you elf lovers going to get crusaded on.
>kill Daimon the first time on my assassin
>go through BBI again, want to do that gorecyclops quest
>get to my first thunder drake
>it dies pretty fast
>shit nigga, I'm gonna farm that fucker for dragonforged stuff
>get back there
>fight takes like 20min
What the fuck, man. What is up with that shit? He takes like zero damage from anything other than ice spells (which my retard ass rented sorcerer pawn won't cast, she'd rather get raped by anything the fucking thing does). Compared to the thunder dragon thing, this one was on a whole other level.
Oh and also
>finally get to the gorecyclops
>it just rages all the fucking time and wrecks my pawns
>can't even really climb him/damage him properly since he's raging all the time and my arisen just can't do shit
>clearly a secret room here in the catacombs over this wall
>just barely can't reach it, get the idea to put down a crate and give myself a boost
fuck me. how do i get in there?
What's with this obsession with her? Make some original brown waifus.
>Make ten purchases from Reynard to begin the quest. One must buy at least one item, then completely exit the buy menu and dialogue ten separate times in order for them to register as separate transactions.
i have to talk to him 10 times every single time i buy something for it to register?
class that can double jump, or if your pawn has area knowledge and a boost skill like shield launch he'll give you a lift
there's actually a lot of mini-secret shit like that in the game
So I didn't see it in the guide, but what phrases do I pick for my pawn to have the best inclinations? I'm going to be a warrior so I guess my pawn will be a mage for the healing and buff spells.
SPOILERS: She got help from Jesus.
GIVE ME THE BEST BUILD or at least a good one FOR THE BEST MYSTIC KNIGHT POSSIBLE
THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS
I've heard some people mention that mage pawns are better off not learning higher versions of some spells like high anodyne.
What other spells for mage/sorc does this apply to? Someone told me maybe both Comestion
Also what's the best way to gain Utilitarian inclination without having a ton of RC for potions?
Fuck. I just wanna play a little bit before going to bed.

Some classes can use 3 or 4 weapons.
Magick archer can use magic bow, daggers, and staff
mystic knight can use greatshield, sword, and staff
assassin can use sword, shield, daggers, and bow
You can carry all of them with you and switch between them using the equip menu.
Weapon switching can be done via the equip menu only while you are in a neutral state (standing still, running, or sprinting). But there are a few exceptions where the game thinks you are in a neutral state while you are not. Unequipping a weapon during these exceptions will put you back to a true neutral state, even if you equip the same weapon back. There are also certain things you can do to put yourself in a neutral state. This mostly with the goal of using multiple weapons in a combo, or cancelling skills. From a true neutral state you can do anything you want as normal. Following are the ways to utilize this trick:
- Using the dagger skill "Reset" you can put yourself in a neutral state at any time except in the air, and thus immediately switch weapons via the menu.
- While doing a dodgeroll you can enter the menu at any time and switch your weapons. This also stops the roll. This does not work when dodgerolling from high objects.
- With the shield you can cancel some attacks by blocking. Enter the menu while still blocking and you can switch weapons.
- The launchboard skill (shield, fighter/assassin) and the divine defense skill (shield, fighter) allows you to switch weapons at any time during it.
- While hanging from a ledge you can switch weapons at any time.
I've got 15k riftpoints from just doing the badge of vow quests, like 10 so far.
I don't get why no one is actually playing, instead they come here the moment they can't read something.
>on my way to shadow fort
So I made a Mage hoping to go sorc, how exactly does that work? Do I have to go somewhere?
Also should I buy the mage skills in the encampment now or are they useless when the classes switch?
>Go to watergod's altar for the first time
>A Saurian falls to water
>He's still alive
>All the pawns jump to water to attack it
