The Uragan stun slug is fucking spectacular. I prefer it to the shotgun. I find it easier to aim and more effective at >5m. I really like my regular sniper though cus it just one hit's UAVs and cameras and everything else. And I can't sacrifice the s1000. So I have to get that 50m shot with the level 8 tranq pistol and 4x scope. Getting the perfect setup so the guard is just around 50m (to counter bullet drop) and facing directly, and I mean it has to be DIRECTLY, facing me is quite the task. It's just annoying as fuck.

As for the git gud part I'm... quite good at this game. I can get 60k ESP points at least a couple times a day. I have around 4~mil or so total points and my rank is ~80. I'm gud.

The trailers were a bad idea, since they imply the game is story focused, which it clearly isn't. Not to mention the dozen interviews where Kojima says it's got very little story and is gameplay centric.
The 2013 E3 trailer is a decent one, since it's more about gameplay than the others, but to be honest, they should've just released gameplay demonstrations rather than trailers and then people wouldn't get hyped up for a story that doesn't exist.

I don't have any real issues with the story in TPP; While it's not very good, it's a lot more reminiscent of the "fun silly MGS" that GZ didn't have any of, and is a very small part of the game because it knows it's nothing spectacular and they wanted to focus on gameplay.

Chapter 2 being repeat missions is pretty clearly the result of content being cut. It feels like the AI Pod recovery, escaped Children and Man on Fire corpse sideops were all meant to be main missions in chapter 2 in place of the repeat ones, but weren't finished in time, so they stuck them in as sideops where you do basically nothing, and then trigger a cutscene.
The Man on Fire one especially was most likely gonna be a boss fight.

If Chapter 2 was like Chapter 1, with no repeat missions, and potentially a third location, the game would be perfect for me. But in this state, (don't get me wrong, I fucking love the game), there is so much more the game clearly wanted to do but couldn't because of time and budget.
Also, fuck the Chapter 1 & 2 naming thing. Call it Act 1/2 or Part 1/2, but chapter is a stupid fucking name, since it implies there are a lot more than just 2. Or just don't fucking name it at all, heck especially with Chapter 2 in this state, it should have just been called "Epilogue" or something. Then the majority of criticism it gets would have been averted.

I love the base building aspect as well. I spent hours fultoning literally everything I could. I didn't kill anyone ever throughout the entire story. I just fultoned the fuck out of em.

Then I went through and got an S rank on every mission and did every sidequest. After than, I did all of the tasks. Doing all the tasks is where the real meat of the game is at. There is just SO MUCH content you do not see unless you take your time and properly play the game. Hours of dialogue and scripted events that I first missed when I was just trying to either finish the mission or s rank them all. It was almost like a completely different game.

That's what I was doing, silly. The way I roll usually involves taking out everyone before I get to extractions (I invade either for staff or resources). The lack of guards helps a lot in bypassing or killing a defender before they spot me. I imagine most of them have no idea what's going on before I enter the core.
