I love Dark Souls II in its entirety. But you have to admit, this is bull shit and poor design. I mean, who thought this would make sense? It's obvious they rushed the game, but holy fuck.

Not a dead genre!
I just finished The Experiment 112, it was great.
Any other Adventure game fans out there?
What are some of your favorites? I'm looking for another to pick up.

Life is Strange is an adventure game so they're pretty alive, although LiS is probably some kind of disgrace to adventure games
I was super let down by Gemini Rue. Are there any other modern sci fi adventure games worth checking out?
>>384184434
Telltale would be the "modern" version of adventure games for the most part, but I'm more a fan of those early 2000's games with cool world-discovery and hard puzzles.
First adventure game I remember playing was The Longest Journey. Absolutely blew me away. Still listen to the lounge music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYgNVPOYT7w

Are you playing any Wizardry-like, /v/?
No. The latest Wizardry-like games I played were the Etrian Odyssey trilogy on the DS.
Is Stranger of Sword City good?
It's coming out in a bit over a week (25th) what are your thoughts on the this game as well as bastion/transistor
Supergiant is probably one of a few western studios that can make a fairly unique narrative without sounding pretentious or making a literal non-game with zero gameplay. Also one of a few western studios that understands the importance of a good OST.
Their games also prone to cause feels.
Certainly waiting for Pyre.

I like the constant narrator and silent protagonist its comfy and transistor has a great battle system with tons of possible load outs
>>384184185
Gameplay doesn't look too hot, but will probably pirate it since transistor was fucking goty and bastion was also pretty good
The fuck was his problem? Why would he order to fucking exterminate the whole city?
>>384183882
Arthas did nothing wrong
>>384183882
Because bad writing, I like the twist of him turning to the scourge but they could of written it better to make more sense, I hate it when something could be resolved if the characters decided to sit down and talk for a minute or so like in those bad romance films.

They had no actual way of telling who was infected until after they turn into undead. The city had already taken the infected grain so as far as he was concerned, basically everyone was infected and had to be put down or they'd be facing a fuckload of undead.
