And thinking about it further: Nico, Umi and Maki are only fleshed out in the SiD, manga and Dengeki since the anime didn't give them enough focus, so your only left with Nozomi as a legitimate decent character in the cast. Kotori a boring doormat, Rin only personality can be summed with "nya! I not girly enough!", Hanayo is just rice girl, Eli is somehow both boring and complete cunt at the same time and Honoka was just annoying and hogged the spotlight from everyone.

I got both in Lhusu mines. I was around level 30 and I took the Antlion hunt. That unlocks some later areas in the mine where the enemies are above level 40. Might be a little tough, but it was worth it for the swords. I didn't even know they were there. I was just fucking around since I'm also at Paramina Rift about to fight Judge Bergan. I played the original so I remember some boss fight here, and I think Larsa leaves soon so I want to squeeze as much out of him as I can. I'm on my way to average party level to be 40 before I even see him. Eventually I'll explore the Necrohol before I fight him.

How did they manage to fuck this up SO hard? And I'm not talking about some sort of "Faith is ugly now" thing. I mean that they fucked up literally everything that people liked about the previous game.
They got the city wrong, the running wrong, the art wrong, the combat wrong, and that's not even getting into how much they fucked up by making it open world.
How is it possible a studio could miss the point of why people liked something this hard?

Currently playing BOTW through CEMU and I'm about 10 hours in. I am baffled how people think this is a 10/10 game. The gameplay is easy as fuck, dungeons are painfully short and easy, dialogue is boring, the story is cliche and not involving, and fetch quests are everywhere. Only thing I love so far is the art style and how fun it is to come up with dumb ways to kill monsters. I try to get into Zelda but underwhelming story and easy difficulty is the plague of this franchise. Will my opinions change once I get further in the game or is it always like this?

Literally the entire game is exactly like the first 10 minutes or so.
The only positive things in BotW are 1) Traversing the world and exploring and 2) Parrying lasers

So why did this shit explode like it did? I wouldn't even say exploring is enjoyable because it's a lot of the same because of open world game design. I don't think it's even possible to make an open world game fun and detail until many years from now. All of the resources it takes to render all of the detail on screen n shit.
