Not that bad but I have to "manually" start gpu fans by giving them full power and once they warm up I can lower the spin to a somewhat bearable level

Some worthwhile single player content, assuming that it isn't on PC.

It needs a good set up.

The PS2 had a lot of hardware advantages over the Dreamcast, but those advantages were poorly utilized because the hardware was so unlike anything else and its hardware platform kind of went nowhere.
The Dreamcast had a more modern design that while it may not have been as powerful was much easier for developers to utilize and which spawned many other systems.

The two were fairly close in capabilities though, forming the first half of the generation and were much less powerful than the far more capable original Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube.
Similar to the Dreamcast whose GPU became popular for phones, the hardware configuration of the Gamecube inspired every system in the next console generation because of how efficient it was in terms of price/performance only being surpassed once AMD's AMD64+GCN SOC chips became available.

Playing as necro with my bros, and a mage with my gf. Usually I play as demon hunter though.

I tried playing but the game isn't fun until later unless you play on buttfuck difficulty which is near impossible until you learn all the enemies on normal/hard and know builds/optimized equipment

If you want both, sadly no, but other Suda games come close in "curaaazyness" like No More Heroes

In what way? storytelling style? or gameplay?
Plenty of rail shooters, though not many with puzzle or exploration elements.
As for storytelling style play some of SUDA 51s other games for a start. Id recommend Killer is Dead, it got a hard rap but its a great game.
