Tabletop and Roleplay LEGO threads (Lego Quest, etc.):>>>/tg/lego
Have any questions? Check out the guide:
>Day after the New Years party. Make a diorama of your characters hungover as shit and shocked at the things they did the night before.
>Take a new 2016 set and build something ONLY using pieces from it.
>Benis (Best Entry: Ninjas in Swimwear)
>Freedom is great. Build a diorama of a villain escaping prison or guarded transport with/without the help of henchmen.
>A bar for your minifigs to drink at for the New Years party.
>Finish that unfinished MOC from 2015!
Thanks for making a proper thread.
Anyone have a nice build for barc speeders I kinda want one for my collection.
I like the design in pic but it's a bit bulky for my tastes.
Why is Kanaan's speeder so crazy out of scale? Lego is usually much better about this.
Lot of people with Eurobricks have inside info, so I browse the threads of themes I like on that site.
You can go through if you like, there's even a photo of Macy's new vehicle next year, but some of the people who post there are literally insane and will spaz out over everything.
My wallet and I are so ready.
With the Ninjago movie coming, I wouldn't doubt if they did a CMF line for it, man. They did for the Lego Movie.
There's the countless stupid pointless fucking arguing over whether Flama is a guy or a girl or genderfluid. People are fucking idiots.
Oh and there's the one fucker who won't shut up about how Nexo isn't a proper castle theme and that's bad.
And he is right, Desuuuuuu
But i wouldnt give it a fuck.
Its amx of both, but who cares. Thats just the same as the fight over threads. It looks like as if something has to present something than having fun with something.
Built an assualt speeder out of two Resistance Battle packs.
>There's the countless stupid pointless fucking arguing over whether Flama is a guy or a girl or genderfluid. People are fucking idiots.
That's because they fucked it up on the damn site, at the same time fucking up their twin Moltor's name as "Mouldron."
Anon sent me the instructions for a minifig scale build of the FO snowspeeder. I sacrificed my own FO snowspeeder to build it. I had to substitute some methods to compensate the fact that I didnt have all of the necessary parts to build it proper.
Heavy Trooper now has a turret of his own to command!
Macy. I gave her the axe instead, and applied the flames to her shield.
And heres Lavaria. I didnt like her spider build, so I just used a leg piece and made her a scythe.
I'm pretty sure Lavaria's Spider Legs are actually the Scarb Nexo Power, as all the pictures of her on the website and in the mini-sodes have her with regular legs.
Anyone else hesitate when wanting to purchase bigger sets?
Yeah. I'm dragging my feet on Fortrex.
>that's so expensive
>buy $45 worth of smaller sets and bricklink $90 worth of stuff instead
My fellow boy/toy/s, I have a problem. I need cash, and am considering selling my new-ish Lego sets to get a little cheddar. I have the following, all complete (including spare parts and instructions)
>Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle
>Quinjet City Chase
>Attack on Avengers Tower
>Ant-Man Final Battle (from before Lego fixed the legs on Ant-ony)
The following are just missing their instructions:
>Iron Man vs Ultron
>Captain America vs Hydra
>Knowhere Escape Mission
>Milano Spaceship Rescue
>Tahu, Master of Fire
>Lord of the Skull Spiders
>Skull Grinder vs Mask Maker
Hero Factory: Invasion From Below
>Rocka Stealth Machine
>Splitter Beast vs Furno & Evo
>Crystal Beast vs Bulk
>Queen Beast vs Furno, Evo & Stormer
Would any of that do well on Bricklink/eBay?
So of the latest releases of Star Wars sets, the new wave of the Force Awakens ones anyway, which is the best?
I'm leaning towards either the Battle on Takodana, or the Resistance Transport, but I can never make up my mind
Also, how close is that Death Star Final Battle set to being retired/discontinued or such? Should I just spring for that instead?
Meh, I was more so talking about the mods and their crazy rules. Like if someone in the Marvel 2016 thread says they hope a new character is in an upcoming set, the mods scream "THIS ISN'T A WISHLIST THREAD, BRING THEM UP AGAIN AND YOU'LL BE PERMABANNED." or if someone mentions the Ninjago show in the toy thread, the mods threaten to burn their house down and etc.
>tfw wanting to wait until february to order the fortrex so I can get baby fortrex for free but 2 weeks is a long time
The whole structure is ugly, same goes for the mini vehicles for Aaron and Clay.
Also I don't need a 4th Aaron... I already have the Mecha Horse, Infernox, Lava Smasher and Chaos Chariot. I'm planning on picking up some Ultimate sets tomorrow and/or Clay's Rumble Blade.
The Fortrex and Merlok's Library are the only sets I'm not drawn too, luckily they're meant to go together, so I wouldn't feel bad about buying one and not the other. I can probably wait another few months for an Ava figure, but not having easy access to an Axl is slowly killing me.
no because autism-grade completionist tendencies
I keep the instructions and sticker sheets too even though I'll never use either.
Now that you mention it though I wonder why lego provides extras, it doesn't look like a piece that'll easily break.
It was a fucking horrible movie.
"Shoot them before they hit the ground!!!" Thank you, tactical genius, yiff in hell.
What do you want to see? The Milano IS pretty cool and I have the Star Corps ship, but I can't think of much else that would make a good set.
The big issue is that the license is for Marvel itself and Marvel releases two movies a year, meaning as soon as they release a couple sets it's already time to gear up for the next one.
>mfw Lightsaber Handles are "Small Parts".
I'm too cheap to buy large sets and they eat up room like no tomorrow.
Also I was fucking devestated when my mom let my baby nephew wreck a medevial market set I was working on and some how I lost so many fucking pieces I was never able to build it back again.
>Now that you mention it though I wonder why lego provides extras, it doesn't look like a piece that'll easily break.
I assumed it had something to do with the way they've automated the piece sorting process and use computers with scales to make sure everything is in the box... They give you extras based on the weight of the individual piece to make sure it trips the sensors so the computer can be certain it's not missing anything.
>mfw attempting seamless on cellphone cam.
Damn this auto-exposure. Good thing I have a black table; I could toggle the exposure with how much was in the focus.
I find myself pretty much only buying large sets now.
I actually feel way more satisfied buying and building something really large that looks great complete, than buying a ton of really small sets.
In fact, a lot of times, sub-$50 I usually just buy for parts and minifigures, and they rarely even get built.
I mean, for me, "Large sets" is like "Modulars, and bigger."
I think he means the axle that holds the fan assembly isn't clicked all the way in, in order to fit that ring of robot arms around the edge.
Well, at least with the Modulars, it helps that they only come out once a year. I want to buy the Ghostbuster's Firehouse, and I'll probably do that when I get my tax return in a few weeks.
But I have a decent paying job, so If I really want a big set, I just put in a few hours of overtime or something, which is usually enough to cover it.
I actually had to more stop myself from buying smaller sets. $10~$20 sets are nice and cheap, until you realize you've just bought 10 of them over the weekend and realize you could have bought a bigger set with more "presence" in your display.
At least, that's how it all kind of works for me.
>I thought Illegal meant like shit that harms the piece in some way subtle or not. Huh.
Yeah, if it's not clicked in all the way, it's putting extra strain on the plastic, which can weaken the piece over time.
Well, she does have balls... of fire...
Come up with ideas for it first.
Think a little; should parts be removed or not during transformation? Are there multiple combinations of gattai? Are your robots full-on individual robots combining into one, or vehicles combining into one?
From Space Police III?
Fuck, I'd probably buy it just based on the fact that it is a 5-6 year old theme.
I'd scan it. Maybe it is heavily clearanced since it has been sitting around for so long.
I wanted it for the build and Axl and Scurriers. And playfeatures.
>Then I leaned Axl will be in 3 sets after summer
>I realised I don't build in blue.
>I want Infernox and Knight mech more.
I'm guessing this was the same reason Ant-Man only got the one set. I really would've loved one of the Pym Tech server room infiltration or something. Anything for more of those silly big block builds.
So how much it will cost? I calculate 79.99, due it include a brick separator.
About the minifigures, all are ok: a second scarlet witdh, and a giant and microbuild ant-man made me to start searching for the ant-man set.
Last I heard (at least at the time of the Ant Man set release), Marvel would do one line of movie sets per year, so when Iron Man 3 sets came out, there were no Thor sets, stuff like that.
Apparently Ant-Man changed that, and since Marvel is only getting bigger now we just get a fuckton of sets all the time.
But that's all hearsay, it might not be exactly what the case was. I just remember reviewers being really excited about the Ant-Man set because it was some kind of shift in Marvel movie Lego stuff.
God damn all this misinformation. Lego had lots of marvel sets out in 2014. They had faux captain america and ASM2 sets out, things based on the cartoon..... but suspiciously similar to the movie franchises. GotG got 3, and one was their biggest marvel set at that type. It actually still holds that record for standard retail release as the helicarrier is not widely available. 3 sets is support for the line. Man of steel got 3 sets. IM3 got 3 sets, its normal.
The super hero lines have this luxury that other licenses do not. As these deals go deeper. They have the DC and marvel licenses for a while, unlike say a deal with new line or universal. The theme is tied to a film, and that's it, they plan out 4-8 sets and share profits and the theme runs its course. We wont see new jurassic world sets for 2016. Maybe for dimensions, but the license agreement doesn''t extend to that.
So lego has flexibilty with the license, they use it. They don't HAVE to make a full line of ant-man legos, so they don't. They make one. They HAD to make a full line of lone ranger, as was the license agreement. It's better for lego this way.
My post was about movie sets, not about Marvel Superhero sets. There's a distinction.
Ant-Man was the VERY first time two movie franchise related sets were released in the same year.
We know Civil War sets are coming so I have my fingers fucking crossed for Dr. Strange.
r8 my figfu
I'm pleased with how this came out, but I wish Thanos came with a throne instead of those chunky blaster boots.
Build your own damn shit.
Nope, never regret a big set, especially if it has lots of goodies like pic reltead
>Mods of eurobricks dedicate time to monitor a website for adults who play with lego
>actually surprised when they turn out to all be autistic
my fucking sides.
Saddest thing I've heard today, but the day is still young.
dr. strange set already confirmed
That would be me, but I've been neglecting my duties for... over a year by now. I'm pretty shocked to see how long that guide has stayed in the OP pasta, given how very, very little actually useful information it contains.
I also, uh, forgot the password to the Gmail account. Somebody should really write up a new guide.
Is Poe Dameron's helmet the same mold as the Resistance Soldier's in the battle pack and Transporter?
>google stud shooter
>bunch of pictures of dogs fucking in the phillipines
Doesn't Lego put up all the instructions for every set ever? Can't you just look at the mecha horse instructions and part list? Not trying to be a dick, here, I've rebuilt some of y old sets with the instructions from Lego's website.
Or do they not put new ones up right away?
>I didnt like her spider build
I'd just as soon wait for a sale or at least double VIP points.
Death Star Final Battle - when in doubt get the oldest set first
Tadonaka - wait for a sale
Resistance Transport - meh
Mild autism requires that I throw them in my parts bin along with all the stud shooters I'm not using.
Last Quinjet was $80 and only came with a truck. The tower and Giant-Man are going to add at least $20.
>They HAD to make a full line of lone ranger, as was the license agreement
You think Disney set up a deal just for Lone Ranger sets? I think it's more likely Lego was hoping for another Pirates of the Caribbean.
>missing the trigger
Consider ME triggered.
Finallygot the new Batmobile from Dawn of Justice. The movie looks like ass, but my love for Batman made me want to get this car.
I had to make some mods due to there being zero protection on the front wheels of the official build.
Added some protection to the rear wheels as well.too
why does it remind me a little bit of disneys talespin?
Maybe mixed with some final fantasy airships.
Thanks! The legs are just brackets and slopes, nothing too complicated. I cheated a bit and stretched a rubber tire over a technic cog to add some thickness, though.
Join the dark side, Anon.
The only question I have is, if you were trying to use as many gold parts as possible, then where's the gilded pantsu? I also think it's pretty neat how her pelvis shares some of the principles used on your Shantae.
Sometimes I think about making a MOC that's glamorous like that. Someday!
My only complaint is that the First Order Pack only has 1 normal Trooper and a Heavy.
I could careless about the other two figs in the set.
I will be buying a Storm trooper set or two tho.
>You think Disney set up a deal just for Lone Ranger sets? I think it's more likely Lego was hoping for another Pirates of the Caribbean.
Yes.... That's how license agreements work. They're limited to one thing. What do you mean hoping for PotC? Do you not get these deals and sets are planned out. Lego doesn't usually test the waters with sets and then plan more later. It depends on the specific license deal if that option is open. For marvel it is open, for lone ranger, it was not, for jurassic world, it's not.
So wanting to get into the Nexo Knight Game and watch the series.
Where can I watch episodes and how does the Nexo scan work for the game?
Do I have to physically have the power Shields to scan them?
Or can I BS it and scan pics?
Australia finally got the SW wave today so I picked up these two sets with a gift-card and I am overjoyed to finally have jawas.
Oh, I tried giving her panties or something but I liked it better without.
kisscartoon, watchartoononline, some official Lego stuff on Youtube and their website
Some anons have been putting up pictures of as many shields as possible in these threads, check the weekly archive and fgts.jp
2) Merlok gives you a 10-second warning to ready the app.
3) See Pic Related(Fire Tornado is not in this version. The top groups are for "quests" that get you some bonus cash.
Not a whole lot different from the last update, but this is what it looks like connected to the engine.
Still could use some suggestions on the cab though.
>Lion of Bravery
>Ultra Armor Activate
>Anvil of Trouble
I think my favorite in-scale design is the one that comes with http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/75024_HH-87_Starhopper
It's easily buildable and properly sized.
This one has a small pickup bed and a hidden compartment under it, and I'm done posting speeders for a while.
Kay. Still can't find Anvil. Found another inactive one, though; white with a remote control. I'll add it to the chart for now.
Was browsing through eBay, can someone check if they can scan this? MY phone is dead.
>Tfw had to take a photo of my BlackBerry screen
You're welcome tags.
Eh, I love Hoth and the minifigures are neat but 40 dollaridoos for a single turret isn't as appealing as being able to recreate the ESB lightsaber duel with the freezing chamber + fancy new Boba Fett.
I would pay an ungodly amount of shekels for shields.
Would you rather:
>CMF-style blindbags where you get 1 shield + accessories, say a bunch of snakes for that Gorgon power up for $2
>Minifigure accessory set where it's 4+ shields + accessories + a monster grunt or a generic knight for $15-$20?
Lego Store promo. It's mainly for the kids where if they build a vehicle out of whatever parts they have in the bin, and then show it to an associate to put on display at the Nexo Knights "booth", they'll give you a card for the shield scan.
>What do you mean hoping for PotC?
Lego had a reasonably successful line of PotC sets so when Disney came around with a new Johnny Depp action movie they were hoping for another hit line.
I may not be a master of licencing agreements but I imagine Lego has some idea of what might sell and how much they want to get behind a certain property. And that they work that out with the companies involved and aren't just forced into making sets they don't want to because the agreement told them to.
Here's two I got from a previous thread.
Pretty easy to reverse engineer and modify to taste.
oh boy, star wars lego in polish donald duck magazine
roughly 3$ for it.
>theoretical Flama is a elemental, so she could be both.
>But its stupid, its as if you say a rock is male.
Problem is we already have TWO Monster Females, and their ALL made out of rock and lava...
>Don't make me want the battle pack.
>Join the dark side, Anon.
No, JOIN THE DROID SIDE!!!
It's also airing on Cartoon Network, and yes, you are specifically able to scan pictures of the QR codes.
>The top groups are for "quests" that get you some bonus cash.
Are their toy versions of that top group?
Looks like the closest one can get to the non-powered shield Icons.
>Would you rather:
>>CMF-style blindbags where you get 1 shield + accessories, say a bunch of snakes for that Gorgon power up for $2
>>Minifigure accessory set where it's 4+ shields + accessories + a monster grunt or a generic knight for $15-$20?
Tough call, the first makes it easier to get out ALL the shields, but the second would be a great army Customizer to go along with Chaos Catapult and Knighton Battle Blaster...
After having to stare at the Nexo Knights banner for over a week now, they finally had the sets on shelves today. I got myself Ultimate Lavaria, since there was less of her than Ultimate Macy.
ON THE INTERNET, NO ONE KNOWS YOU ARE CIS SCUM UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE!!!
>I... I have a 2 r2 units, a spider droid and a recon droid for my mini-empire remnant if that counts.
>I dunno if we'll get their regular icons.
>Or their hair.
Isn't one of those Polish Magazine Polybags specifically Clay with Hair?
>I got myself Ultimate Lavaria, since there was less of her than Ultimate Macy.
...Why not both?
I used 30274 and 70817's micro manager to create this.
Articulation on legs is a little limited by the "belt".
Dunno about the "expression" here. Coulda been done better.
Thumb joint is black as the parts for it aren't common in brown.
All together with the goth/emo lookin' chick I posted a general or so ago.
Still waiting on Bricklink, but fooling around is fun. God bless lingonkart for coming up with so much cool shit.
It's just fine with mixel joints. and the like, but it can be finicky.
Also, that reminds me, a little while ago I posted how I liked to do upper legs. After some testing, though, I figured out the old method has an issue in that it still will restrict the 1x1 ball joint somewhat, meaning it has to "click" past the edges of the 1x2 plates or other parts holding it in place. This minor revision fixes this issue.
Finally got a 3po thanks to a freind. He has soooo many paint appe.
I don't get your point and I don't think you get mine.
The point is, they got the license for the lone ranger, or Jurassic world (don't be hung up on the example I use as you seem to be) and part of that agreement is a full theme with multiple sets. So retailers will carry an assortment of those toys based on that film.'
Ant-man, had no such agreement. It's all under the marvel banner. There's more freedom for marvel and lego because of this. It's not a film to film agreement.
People keep making these assumptions, example
>"this theme got 2 waves, because it was more successful, they did 5 sets in 2013 and 3 more in 2014
When the retailer catalog and previews actually showed that the 2014 sets were planned before the 2013 ones come out. If these things are based on license agreements that's where flexibility ends. They plan their sets a year to 2 years in advance.
>And that they work that out with the companies involved and aren't just forced into making sets they don't want to because the agreement told them to.
Yea, well...... tell that to the 3rd hobbit movie, it happened.
Not to repost this every single thread, but I've finally ordered the bricks to build it.
Total was around $22 plus shipping, which was pretty alright for a ~270 brick build.
An Unexpected Gathering?
It's kind of pricey but it's fucking awesome. I asked for it for Christmas but got Weathertop instead, which is also a great build / display set. Plus insane minifig value.
...Aaaaaaand it's all done.
I'm a trainfag looking to make my first MOC and rather than jumping straight into an engine, I'm looking to start small with wagons for it of some kind. Problem is I'm having trouble thinking of a wagon design to go for that doesn't already have an existing, similar counterpart or anything like that.
Ideally I'm looking for the sort of freight car you might see behind an American freight train in the 50s or so, but I'm coming up blank. Anybody got any suggestions I could work off of?
>for LBR thats true but Target, TRU and everyone else and their mother breaks their contract bound release date
I wish that was true, but all the Targets in my area slavishly follow release dates.
Last December 29 (2014), I went to Target and asked about their new CMFs that were supposed to be released in January.
>worker goes into back room
>about to leave
>worker comes out with sealed shipping box
>about to ask worker to cut dat shit open
>worker points at 1 JAN 2015 release date printed on box
>"Sorry anon, it says right here we can't sell them until January!"
I had that happen with some amiibos. They put the damned things on the fucking shelf, and when I took them to the register cuck, he got all uppity with me about how they "werent for sale until TOMORROW, UGH, OH MY GOD!"
Now I dont even bother anymore unless its something big.
Somebody last thread wanted to make Burning Legion guys right?
Forgot I had this pic saved.
That should be easy, compared to a lady you have fuckloads of flexibility for shape usage as well as a medley of ways in which you could make a buff physique. The rounded car hood/roof pieces, for instance, along with some studs, should make for an E-Z set of pecs and abs.
If you wanted to go the cheap route you could use stuff like neo-Bionicle ab pieces, there's loads of them in tan and that'd probably make for an easy chest. Some system-technic finagling would allow for an appropriately bulky set of arms if you keep the bonkle chest but want bulky System arms.
I should build more ladies with different body types, come to think of it. I did the one devil fighter lady, and a few others, but I haven't shown them off all that much.
chart anon, if you ever want to upgrade poison burst, here it is
So I've been trying to figure out how to build the head Lingonkart's been using for those monstergirls he's made.
I still have no clue.
I recently got this set, and I'm absolutely in love with it.
I love Lego Mechs that can actually sit minifigs in them. I'm too shit to come up with a decent MOC of one, though.
This Y-Wing. Shipping from Canada, might be a week or two.
I want to make a Shard Jedi sort of like this.
Is there a non-standard droid body, or something with a transparent chest I could put a crystal into? The medical droids look pretty cool but not quite right.
These and a handful of yellow panels to build some construction veehickles.
>somebody's selling 8262 for nearly £7,000
>got mine for £13 best offer
>12 of them were presumably sold at the stupid price
Gorzan's Gorilla Striker and Braptor's Wing Striker.
Because I was watching Planet of the Apes and wanted some apes. And saw Braptor in my search for Chima sets and was like "Bats are cool"
only 15+ days to go!
Because that's pretty much the perfect version of a Lego speeder bike and the Rebel alphabet wings that came out over that few years are essentially the perfected form of the designs?
So for the first time in a long while, I think I'm actually excited about some Lego sets.
I love this set. A cool, unique starfighter, Cad Bane, Raako Hardeen, a Nikto, and a cool little speeder bike. I modified mine by taking out the speeder bike dropping mechanism and making it a cargo storage bay. Good for smuggling or storing captured bounties.
No minifigs, but whatever. I used to have the original, and now I miss it. It costs about twice as much as this one, though. I might get it again later.
What the fuck ever happened to these guys.
Used to be my favorite sets. I think the whole first set is pretty cheap on BrickLink (maybe $100 in all), should I go for it?
What the fuck are those sloped windows? Are they LEGO?
The good news is they've made one of those.
The bad news is it's an exclusive set that you're never gonna afford.
Who do I have to fucking blow at Lego to make this an actual thing?
You don't seem to be ready for Lego and Lego isn't ready for you.
Picked up another Klinker Mixel yesterday. Made this out of two of them.
It may be obvious but it is a two faced mixel mashup. When he is cyclops, he has a hitch to drag Nixels.
The baseplate for Ogel Control Center is an amazing reskin of a Scala(?) plate.
I got the TC-4 figure in the mail! The Ep.7 C-3PO reminded me it existed.
So the next promos are:
>Finn in Stormtrooper outfit
>First Order General
Any word on where they will be available?
Yep classic sloped window used for a lot of buildings up until at least 98' (eg. Police station featured in Lego Island). It is now out of circulation... too bad because it is a useful piece
>No clue friend, but Lego trains are a dangerous path.
What's wrong with Lego trains? I fucking love both Lego and trains, already own about 5 or 6 Lego train sets and have cannibalized most of my dining room for a layout.
Now if I can just get an accurate looking Lego Big Boy going I'll be a happy man.
Promos are usually either:
>sold for ~$4 at retail
>free with purchase of ~$75 directly from Lego (Lego store or online shop)
TC-4 wasn't available in the states for some reason, but I got mine off eBay. I got my last two from eBay as well. There are sometimes exclusive figures in books or conventions, like the Prototype Boba Fett.
This place is my favorite site for SW Lego collecting; it's very comprehensive:
It is a reskin of the set 'Poolside Paradise' in the Paradisa line. There is also another reskin of the plate to be found in one of the Egyptian adventurers sets.
I picked this set up for a few bucks after my gf came to terms with my collection and was trying to reach back to her childhood. Lots of freat parts in this one, and yes i'd love to have that Alpha Team reskin of the plate
To add to this Brickset also has a really nice list of all the figs, if you're looking to find all the figs from a theme.
Star Wars is a rabbit hole though, there are so many figures.
Also if you're a completionist have fun with Cloud City Fett and Lando, plus Revan. If you're a lunatic completionist have fun with the chrome / silver / gold figs that are even rarer.
I've got one on order right now
Is it just me being retarded or there actually was piece like this but with angle less than 90? I swear I had seen it somewhere, but cannot find anything now.
Did some touch ups to the Jedi Interceptor for my OC Jedi.
I really like it now. Wish I had better parts tho.
Would anyone play through a game of DnD if your DM announced the world would be using Lego built forests, roads, mountains, houses, and dungeons for you to explore?
Oh and I think somebody was asking about Groot's a Thread ago.
I took a pic of all 4 I have.
First is the Mini Groot from the Rocket TRU Polybag.
Second is a Mini Fig with longer legs from S World China Bootleg.
Third is a Big Fig with Handsome Squidward face from S World as well.
Last is the Big Fig Build from the Knowhere Escape Mission set.
Hey guys, quick question. Can the original yellow Hagrid hold stuff just as well as the 2010 one? I prefer the original one for the colour and lack of lapels but I swear I read somewhere the hands are very different - and I can't find any images of the original Hagrid holding stuff (like a sword or an axe). Can anyone confirm?
Regarding his evolution, they changed his hands over time.
>It's too late for you, friend.
Seriously I've no idea what's supposedly wrong with them, at least I can control them and do stuff with them by remote compared to static models and I can use city stuff as decoration.
It's okay anon I think yours is great. I saw one on EB the other day that was "to scale" but it was way to big and over complicated. Yours is comfy as heck and has that endor feel to it.
back from a TRU run got these just in case the pats lose today.
>inb4 cheatriots and 18-1
Updated my speeder so all the parts are real. I have just made a big cracklink order of parts for this will post pics when complete.
From the LDD version I have it actually looks like a lot has changed
Did somebody try to recolor white pieces? I don't remember details, but there was some method when dye diffuses into plastic so it won't wear off. Or lego plastic too hard for this shit?
I had the same problem with my flintstones car missing 1x3 slopes.
Seems like such a obvious colour for that part too! I just had to settle for dark brown :/
The hands are indeed very different, as it has thumbs, but it holds stuff as good as any normal minifigs.
Does anyone here know about
painting
minifigs
or is it considered heresy and prohibited to talk about it here
?
I say because I really want to start doing that, maybe with something like changing Hawkeye's details from crimson to actual purple like it should be
Apart from using this print on the back tile I honestly think it is a perfect design,
>which set this from?
10512, 10513, and 10526.
>tfw you get your order but it has part number 43374 "Sports Basketball Net" instead of part number 11641 "Sports Basketball Net with Axle"
It's been years since I bought any non-licensed sets. Did they ever introduce black fleshies into the "yellow" themes? I'm not a huge fan of the white fleshies, but I've always liked the black heads and thought they fit in fine with the yellow heads.

This is debatable, but the NBA sets had both fleshies (for real-world players at the time) and regular yellow minifigs (for generic NBA players). However, all the sets seem to segregate, with a set being only fleshies or only yellows. I swear I saw a set that had some fleshy celebrities along with some yellow filler figs, but I can't find it if it exists.
