January Challenges:
>Day after the New Years party. Make a diorama of your characters hungover as shit and shocked at the things they did the night before.
>Take a new 2016 set and build something ONLY using pieces from it.
>Benis (Best Entry: Ninjas in Swimwear)
>Freedom is great. Build a diorama of a villain escaping prison or guarded transport with/without the help of henchmen.
>A bar for your minifigs to drink at for the New Years party.
>Finish that unfinished MOC from 2015!
that op is really bazingaing me
Why do people sell brand new easily available sets on bricklink for higher than list? Are they not available in some countries or am I just missing something?
>>5390763
There's already a new thread. Its been around for hours.
>>5390774
yep, that's why.
>>5390779
How do I delete this thread then?
>>5390791
There's a small checkmark next to the name field on every post.
If a post is yours and you'd like to delete it, tick the check and then hit the "delete" button at the bottom right of the screen.
There is a limited amount of time in which to delete a thread; you must wait about a minute or so until you can delete the post, and then you only have a few moments until your post is too old to be deleted.
It seems like it'd be too late to delete this thread.
>>5390791
I'm pretty sure you can't once it has replies. Congratulations, anon, it will live forever as mute testimonial to your colossal fuckup, an albatross around your neck for the rest of your days or until it expires, whichever
Okay anons I need help.
Do I get the First Order Transporter (really keen on getting) or Poe's X-Wing and a battlepack (not so keen but wouldn't say no)?
They both come to around the same price and money isn't an issue so...
>>5390998
Use the more active thread.
Reposting there now.
Why are you retards allowed to make general threads when you can't get it right?
Don't bump the thread, anon. Just let it die.
the other one hit image limit
Thoughts on my samurai?
>>5393499
got more pics?whats the left arm made with?
ive been trying to make more poseable minifigs
Messing around with some Nexo Knights stuff. I'm trying to make a spear, but I'm divided. The idea is that the powers attach to the weapon and the sais would be replaced with something more fitting of the power.
Left one:
>Incorporates the shield.
>But looks like a shovel from the side.
>Auxillary weapons attach poorly.
Right one
>Longer
>Fits the weapons better
>Doesn't incorporate the shield.
>It's just a cog on a premade weapon, ya hack!
I've tried a few ways to mount the shield with the extra cog, but things just don't want to work for me.
>>5393744
God damn it now I have to make a Shovel Knight
>>5393889
They did give you the shovel and shoulderpads in this set.
>>5393744
The shield design looks a hell of a lot better and more visually interesting. That and a giant, chunky bladed spear fits Nexo Knights' visual style a lot better anyway.
>>5393939
Funny thing, I just figured it out. It's longer than the prefab spear and doesn't look like a shovel, to boot!
I went for a lego hunt today at a lot of thrift store but all i got was some megablocks, at first i was skeptical but then i had some fun with it.
Has anyone had any luck in thrift stores?
>>5393958
Legos rarely last in Thrift Stores. Even parents who have no idea about toys know that legos are a sure thing.
>go to TRU
>no Nexo Knights
>go to SMYK
>ult. Lavaria is 50 PLN
>go to Tesco
>ult. Lavaria is 63 PLN
What the fuck happened to Tesco?
>>5395137
>Buying the figures doesn't unlock them for use in the game.
If there's a miniscule chance anyone else is collecting powers.
Just got Ultimate Clay, pretty sweet. No pics because taking a shit.
What can I expect from the bigger sets like Infernox and Clay's big vehicle?
>>5395461
Infernox is a pretty cool figure. But I find that his build is kinda flimsy in areas. His horns and fingers fall off alot when I fiddle with him, and sometimes his head implodes due to all the hinges that allow for a minifig to be "captured" inside him.
King's Mech is pretty much universally loved here.
I personally really enjoy the Mecha Horse and the Lava Smasher.
Got a few nice cheap display cases at the Container Store for my figs.
The dimensions are kind of weird, but they're only ten bucks, so it evens out.
>>5396477
I agree with what this guy said except for the horse. The horse is shit. It's a motorcycle that transforms into a horse STATUE. Maybe it'd be a good set of you completely rebuilt the legs.
>>5397251
But the regular lego horses are also statues. Q nQ
>>5398855
>head is articulated
>statue
you guys
seriously.
>>5396802
is that fucking darth revan?
>>5398897
motorcycle horse's head is also articulated. Q nQ
Also it's front legs where they connect to the body. And the hooves. And the hind legs have limited articulation as one piece. Q nQ
>>5398855
The new ones can rear up, actually.
>>5398926
Yep.
>Don't bring back Monkey's for the Pirates line
>Instead bring them back for Ninjago
Fuck you LEGO.
going to the Lego store at Disney this weekend, what should I get? Im gonna try to limit myself to $30
>>5395219
I am.
I just got the app today. I can only scan like three powers an hour? How the hell did the rest of you build lists this big already?
>>5399523
I just want to know how to get the Classic Space power.
>>5399311
get the worst star wars constraction figure
>>5399311
It's more fun to decide when you get there.
>>5393958
The thrift stores in town here are stalked on the regular by people I suspect of being Bricklinkers or some kind of reseller anyway. They're real dicks about it too, always trying to get in the back to see if any Lego is about to be put out, whining that production doesn't take the time to separate non-Lego pieces from the mixed bags... the main one looks like a creep too.
Only scored a couple modest mixed bags of Lego some years ago, some sweet MB finds though like pic related for 11 bucks.
>>5399570
Wow, that's older than I thought.
This fucking thing better get made.
Either way it's inspired me to recreate the rooftop concert. Just gotta find some decent reference pics of the Apple studios building...
>>5393958
I used to work at a thrift store.
What happens, is people don't actually put things in the donation bins (I worked at the Salvation Army, so it might be different with smaller stores).
People just dump their donations outside the front door, which are then picked clean before the manager gets there.
The amount of times I pulled either a Transformer, Barbie or bag of Legos out of a bag were a grand total of... once.
>>5399616
Just do it with the Kwik E Mart
Hi Lego Gen, it's my first time buying from Bricklink, and as I was checking out the store, I saw this on the shipping terms.
>Shipping and BrickLink fee, 4% of all brick that you buy, is not included. It will be included into shipping price.
Does that mean this fucker is making me pay for Bricklink's listing costs, or does this mean that Rbicklink actually charges you when you buy from their site?
Who HYPE for Disney Minifigures?
>>5399719
Confirmed list:
1. Peter Pan

>tfw no official Lego violin bass
>tfw no official Lego casino
>tfw no official telecaster or country gentleman
>tfw no official Ringo custom drum set
Why do I even bother with this company??
>>5399719
I might get a few. I'm sure these will be super expensive in a year because normies love Shitney.
>>5399726
>no big fig Hulk Buster like the vidya
>...that isn't from china
>>5399723
14-18 is ballsacks
just 5 ballsacks
My GDI Orca is nearing completion.
It'd be done if it weren't for the fact that some of the 'used' pieces from my Bricklink order had literal mold growing in them.
>tfw see this awesome custom set
>tfw nearly 400 AUD once shipping factored in
Shit, I could just have a great night out at a real strip club for that kinda cash.
>bought TIE interceptor used
>apparently I wasn't thinking when I bought it because it didn't come with instructions
>but never mind, it came assembled into three major pieces
>>5399812
Thats really good and funny.
>>5390763
This thread existed since friday?
/toy/ is really slow if you can bump it.
But as we see, OP is a retard, making his thread and bumping it this long maybe as a general.
>>5399821
yup, lego goes through a thread in about a day and a half though, so theres usually multiple "dead" threads at once either way
i presume the migration to this one happened early, so there wouldn't be this crap early one, and another new one
>>5399523
Starting early, if you mean app collection.
Searching web for pictures and nice anons posting shields in this thread, if you mean avaible codes.
>>5399819
The name's what sold me. Foxy Blox. I love it.
But truth be told, it looks like a pretty simple build, not really worth the cash. It's just too bad minifig bikinis are so hard to come by, otherwise I'd just make my own.
>>5399823
I dont have anything against multiple threads. We dont talk about who makes one, but just do it.
I have trouble that Op seemed to bump his thread in hope it might get used.
>>5399825
Thats right, the name is a nice touch.
Im tempted too to customise minis. But too afraid to fail.
>>5399817
Which version of it?
And Brickset has instructions for almost any set up
>>5399835
The 2006 one.
Not that I needed the instructions, I only had to put the wings on.
Fuck you, Merlok.
>>5399852
What power are you scanning?
>>5399870
I was scanning the red tornado power from "how to scan" help video in app.
Also the code for the white "radio signal" power there is Cloning code.
>>5393954
Cool. But wouldnt it be better if you use the studs on the back?
Seeing this somehow makes me wanting to change the nexus knights into visionaries.
>>5399884
You could make theminto staffs perfectly
>>5399523
You can scan way more than three/hour. The last scan charge fills up in about 3 minutes.

>The thrift stores in town here are stalked on the regular by people I suspect of being Bricklinkers or some kind of reseller anyway
I dunno, thrift stores seem to be stalked pretty regularly anyways it seems, at least around here...
Where I'd suspect the Bricklinkers and Resellers are at the Retail stores, considering entire swaths of Lego Sets will disappear off the shelves in a short amount of time.
>>5399723
>Mickey
>Donald
>Minnie

>tfw Scrooge McDuck minifig never
>>5399718
>Does that mean this fucker is making me pay for Bricklink's listing costs, or does this mean that Rbicklink actually charges you when you buy from their site?
It means if you want to buy from that store, your total will be 4% higher than what it shows. If you don't want this, just don't buy from that store.
Every store is different. Some have a minimum order cost, some have a maximum number of unique lots (parts), some charge you extra if you order more than X lots.
>>5399723
So, is this bullshit going to take the place of a regular CMF release like the shitty Simpsons waves did?
>>5399812
It's well worth the price.
My friend paid almost $200 I think for it and he doesn't regret it.
>>5399723
Eh? No? No confirmed list. This one was confirmed fake. We only know like 4 because of leaks of the molds.
>A table full of shitty board games for 2€ each
>one lone Heroica box
>10€
>it's taped shut and the seller looked at me angrily when I tried to open it
Even at a charity fleamarket they know Lego is hot shit, but no one in their right mind would buy one for that price without knowing if it has everything
>>5399939
>Being caught at the strip club with your wiener out.
How embarrassing.
>>5399950
Simpson's has been objectively shit for more than 20 years.
>>5399971
Ok, but the doesn't mean the figs are shit.
You know what's shit? All those stupid Simpsons styled celebrity figures.
Yeah, as if I wanted a Simpsons version of Kid Rock.
Lego Simpsons are pure. They're love and life and yellow like Lego should be.
Also the newest season is actually pretty good which is refreshing.
>>5399977
>but the doesn't mean the figs are shit.

that show is hilarious though
So the Modular systems have officially had
>homes
>pet shop
>town hall
>detective's office
>fire station
>bank
>laundromat
>barber
>pool hall
>department store
>cinema
>grocery store
>fancy restaurant
So what's left? I had some ideas, anyone else thought of some interesting things?
>post office
>police station
>hotel
>pharmacy
>bakery
>candy store
>car mechanic
>car park tower
>bowling alley
>arcade
>>5399995
Arcade and bowling alley would be awesome.
I'm working on a MOC Sushi restaurant, with like a ramen stand on one of the upper levels, and probably some living quarters/apartments on the second or third floor.
A modular library would be really cool.
>>5399757
Jesus fuck dude. I mean I'm glad you're building the vehicle you were showing off a while ago but god damn.
Nice job, in any case.
>>5399991

>>5399825

>>5400013
why are their heads not on all the way.
>>5399995
Hotel was already done, it was one of the first sets
>>5399933
I'm sure this is not the first series and we wil get McDuck. Because he is the best.
>>5400019
Are you talking about the third one (Market Street) or whatever? Because that's the only one I can think of.
I'm not even sure why that one is considered a modular, because it has absolutely none of the aesthetics of any of the other modulars, and isn't even packaged under the same banner as any of the others, IIRC.
>>5400031
Cafe Corner was intended as hotel, but it doesn't really show because no interior
Should i leak
>>5400065
That makes sense, I suppose. It actually sort of looks like a hotel.
Cafe Corner and the Green Grocer are two of the coolest looking Modulars as far as exterior, but the insides are just so barren and plain...
Ay alright
>>5400083
>>3rd floor storage with creepy animatronic figs
No.
>>5400078
Do it for Gotham.
>>5400085
Hope you don't go the same route as the anon who leaked last years sets months before, He got in deep shit from Lego.
>>5393499
I like the piece choices, I never liked the cmf ones. I always wanted to put one together in black, but staying far away from Bricklink projects for a long while.
>>5400085
Looks so comfy. Personally I would just keep the vignette for its own humble display and make a grand Moc with the rest.
>>5399995
How about a biker or tattoo shop?
Maybe a bookstore?
>>5400085
Little disappointed that the shelves and bottles aren't branded, but it's still really cool.
Too bad I'd have to sell my kidney to afford it
>>5400085
Why does it look like the center piece has a slot for it to connect to some other sort of building. Is this going to get some separate sets to make it a bigger batcave.
Just capped a few things while playing the nexo knights game... First:
>>5400104
You can connect the elevator to it. And the Garage.
Hahaha Nexo knitghs have so many cool scenes I cant stop laughing.
>Everyone want to help a friend
>Lance is there just chiling with ladies.
>>5400109
That's friggen sweet can't wait to see somebody moc up the entire cave.

Nexo Power: SONIC SHIELD
The game ends rather abruptly at the end of the third area with a "coming soon" video. I guess this shows Jestro's volcano fortress that will be coming out this summer.
And here's some of the powers that either aren't in the game yet or just haven't had their codes released yet.
>>5400110
I wonder how they'll do ultimate Axel. They can't really just make the armor trans-orange because it would look terrible with the glued minifig torso. Speaking of which, I don't think Lego has ever done minifig torso in trans, so that's not happening either
>>5400123
No, wait. I just looked closer at that last screenshot and I already HAVE half the powers listed there. The other half I've never seen, though.
>>5400085
What's the big center bit?
>>5400127
Its a vignette of Wayne manor that had the pole Adam west would slide down.
>>5400110
Macy = headstrong female, not your princess
Lance = the narcistic star
Axl = the hungry brute
Aaron = the funny guy
clay = hero knight
ava = the nerd girl
robin = novize but technic genius
They are rather trope characters, but for a all ages show its good and gives the author enough room to make nice episodes.
I would consider it a show, you can see and show it your kids.
>>5400130
I know what that is, im talking about the center. the one in the middle.

Shame that they can't print back of the legs.

>>5399995
I've been working on a few modular ideas in LDD.
And by "working on", I mean I roughly map out their layout and came up with some basic ideas, then forgot about them.
I feel like sharing them, so here they are;
>Arcade
Two stories. On the ground is the arcade, which featuring a number of different gaming machines. Instead of trying to come up with generic game titles/screens or license existing games, the idea was to turn old Lego sets into games. For example a 'Slizer' or 'Bionicle' beat-em-up, a 'Rock-Raiders' or 'Aquazone' pin-ball and a 'Lego Racer' Racing game. There would also be a counter with prizes mounted on the wall.
Behind the arcade would be an external set of stairs that leads to the first floor, a studio apartment. The apartment would be done up to look like a stereo-typical geek/gamer apartment, there would be posters for video games and a couple of different game consoles and controllers hooked up to a big screen TV.
It would come with an arcade employee and a number of different gamers of various ages and genders.
>Doctors Office
Two stories. Ground floor is divided between a waiting room with chairs for patients, a fish tank for decor and a water cooler, and a reception area consisting of a desk, computer, coffee machine and filing cabinets.
Up stairs, is a hall way and two consultation rooms. Both rooms are pretty much the same and contain a desk/computer, a bed for patients to lie down on, one of those skeleton display thing and skylights in the roof. There would be two stairs leading to this floor, a patients stairs coming from the waiting room and a doctors stairs coming from reception.
Would come with 2 doctors, male and female, a nurse/receptionist, an adult patient and a child patient with their concerned mother.
>>5400236
con't
>Mechanics Garage
Mostly just that, a large open garage with a car lift, work bench and selection of tool as well as a number of special printed tiles made to look like photos/calendars/posters of cars.. There would also be an office, with some chairs and a desk/computer.
Would come with 2 mechanic, an assistant/office/admin, a customer and their car.
>Radio Station
Three stories. Ground floor consists of a reception area and a backroom. There would be a back door that leads into said back room so that celebrity guests wouldn't have to use the main/front door. The first floor be a green room/radio boss' office. Third floor would be the recording studio.
The set would come with a DJ, a producer/boss, a receptionist/assistant, a celebrity and a fan.
>Sushi Store
A single story sushi place on a 16x32 plate. Has a counter which displays the sushi choices, a fridge, chairs and tables. Would come with a chef and two dinners.
>Teppanyaki Restaurant
A single story restaurant on a 16x32 plate. Has a grill behind a counter with seats. Would come with a chef and two dinners.
>Bobs Burgers
"Bob's Burgers" restaurant from the cartoon Bob's Burgers. Comes with the Belcher family and Teddy.
And something a bit different
>Modular Playground.
A little (32x32) inner-city park/playground for kids that fits between buildings. Has a sidewalk, stone fence, monkey bars, see-saws and sandpit.
Comes with two mothers, three children, a bucket and spade and a couple of different coloured statuette.
>Modular Memorial Park.
A little (32x32) inner-city memorial park. Has a sidewalk, a brick fence with large arch entry way, a canon and two statues (fire fighter and police officer), two benches and a floor garden.
Would come with a gardener, a random citizen and an old man.
Also I want to get another Pet Shop, build the townhouse/apartment as normal (maby make a few changes to the decor) and turn the Pet Shop into a Newsagents.
>>5400085
>you can throw Catwoman into the power generator
>>5400228
Are they really dial-molded? Could've sworn that it's like Daphne where the flesh is just printed on
>>5400263
Oh damn, you're right. You can see the underlying green plastic where the round 'hip' touches the flat area.
And I was so excited too, since Batman's legs actually are dual-molded.
>>5400263
I'm still pissed off about that. She should have been given pink legs with dual molded purple boots.
>tfw thinking about buying the new prison island just so I'd have a play set to pose most of my star wars minifigs on
>>5400284
Go for it
>>5400284
The Prison Island is not so bad.
>>5400284
I'm thinking about ripping apart my 70404 King's Castle to build a hanger for Star Wars. I'm looking at it and it's really difficult, because it's such a nice looking castle...
>>5400252
10/10 would buy just for that.
>>5400292
I like it because it looks so, how to put it, self contained. most Police Stations remind me of just a facade.
>>5400293
Is that the latest one? I want at least one of each for lego; Police station, Castle and Pirate ship/Fortress. I've been looking at the Forest Men's hideout from like 1989, it looks friggin sweet. I prefer the old Castle/Pirate stuff a little better than the more current ones, though the minifigs look like they've improved a lot.
>>5400290
Once I get a hundred yuros I might, actually.
>>5399523
I have my bar at five:
1st bar fills in 3 minutes
2nd bar fills in 15 minutes
3rd bar fills in 45 minutes
4th bar in 4 hours
5th bar in 12 hours.
It's kinda dumb, especially without a PTW method of recharging it instantly. Bar 1 should refill in ten seconds and the others should move down a tier (2nd bar in 3 min, and so on). The lengthened bar is used to level the powers up, but when they recharge so slowly, what's the point?
>>5400325
I have 4 bars.
1st and 2nd are the same as yours.
3rd is 1 hour and 4th is 6 hours.
>>5400003
This guy again. Since we're kind of on the topic of MOC Modulars, I figured I'd show the first floor of my Sushi Bar Modular.
I started working on it months ago, and kind of put it aside without ever really finishing the interior, or ever really getting to the two top floors....
>>5399884
I did get a serious Visionaries vibe from this.
Nothing wrong with that, though; Visionaries was great.
>>5400333
There was going to be a lot more exterior detail that I never really got around to. Going to be some foliage and plants in the fenced area. Or at least something to give the exterior a bit more detail.
>>5400336
Kind of wanted to keep it relatively in line with the existing modulars. Tried to do some interesting uneven brick looking stuff toward the bottom of the building here on the back.
>>5400309
>Is that the latest one?
Yeah, it's the most recent Castle. I only have one of my older castles built, King's Mountain Fortress.
>>5400339
Lots of dust to show that I haven't really worked on it in months....but an interior shot through the front doors.
>>5400342
And here's a little shot of some if the interior stuff. Mostly just the sushi "bar", though the floor tiling isn't finished at all, nor are any of the chairs or anything in here. There's a little broom closet and a few other details on the other side of the building, but it isn't super interesting to look at right now.
>>5400085
Where's Mr. Freeze from then?
>>5400348
My money's on polybag
>>5400106
Doesn't work. You need to snap the shield BEFORE it starts loading; this uses a generic code which doesn't register in the game.
>>5400085
How is this more expensive than Ewok village?
>>5400356
$270 US dollars is the current price for the Batcave.
>>5400333
Man the new sushi print from friends sets will be perfect for this! I really love your design!
>>5400380
The Ewok Village was $250.
>>5400356
The licensing on Batman 66 stuff is expensive as shit because you have to pay Fox and WB.
>>5400085
>$270 set
> huge chunk is VEHICLES
I just wanted a batcave
>>5400381
>Man the new sushi print from friends sets will be perfect for this!
I was thinking that too. I literally cannot believe that a LEGO sushi roll exists. That is so neat.
>I really love your design!
Thanks! I still have a lot of work, but I am pretty happy with the core design.
Do any of you have to deal with having very limited space or just not enough space in general for your legos? Any tips on how to deal with it?
>Sky Pirate "base" is just a shitty little helipad
Why is this allowed?
For the anon who wanted a Visionaries staff for the Nexo Knights. I guess you could also use a pair of the 1x1x3 bricks with the side peg, but this is a bit lighter and cleaner.

i just see the batmobile from the 60s batcave set launching out of this
Is UCS Slave 1 worth it

Yeah, a Sky Pirate base would be more like a dirigible.

I really hope Nexo Knights becomes as popular as Ninjago.

Yes.

>Now that it's retired, any of you dorks unhappy that you missed out on Bane?
He's in a Dimensions set coming out in a few months
>>5400482
That set looks like it has more stickers than actual LEGO pieces.
>>5399684
That was the B-sharps, not the Beatles.
>>5400479
Not bad. Pretty simple and clean, but also a tad tall. Perhaps a shorter rod would be appropriate, unless this is the idea.
>>5400480
Not only you!
>>5400525
1. I will make this with my army of Macys
2. I need to rewatch visonaries!
I can't wait for that nameplate to be used out of context.
>>5400601
There used to be some on Youtube. I saved the Unicorn episode since it's so good.
>>5400601
The purple Dragoon with her spear is good enough for me.
>>5400351
The flamming tonardo dont work?
Netherless i compiled it into my new chart.
>>5400464
cool, thx builder anon.
Thinking about to grab some knights from bricklink or the magazins to make some visionaries..
>>5400644
Is that an homage to Vladek's standard on one of the red shields?
I love all the little callbacks to other castle themes in Nexo Knights. Some that aren't even necessarily on purpose - e.g. Aaron has the Wolfpack emblem ad his coat of arms. However, he is also the 'green knight' and one of his Ultimate nexo powers is a banana weapon. The last 'green knight' we had was Rascus, whose coat of arms was a monkey.
>>5400620

>>5400605
>stickers, stickers everywhere

Fire Tornado does not work.

Second is Piranha Bite.
Third is Sea Dragon.
Also, try to group the quest-related powers together.
>>5400658
yes the homages are nice.
But i believe these are just lego infographic stock.
Since its always easier to stay in lego theme to use existing graphics.
And its a nod to castle series.
>>5400657
Have the knights started appearing on Bricklink? I could use some extra parts.
>>5400682
>First blank is
Ah, thx.
Had a handfull, but couldnt find the doubles for these three.
>Also, try to group the quest-related powers together.
i just tried to group colors and last row the web and ad-promos without proper color.
>>5400697
It's hard to screengrab because it's one of those daily videos you can view only once from map.
This may be a stupid question, but if someone from say, the Netherlands is selling something on Bricklink and I want to buy it using paypal, do I need to do any currency related shit? Like would I need to exchange my American dollars for whatever they pay with, or will Paypal take care of that itself?
>>5400741
Paypal takes care of that. I import from Japan all the time, /toy/friend.
>>5400717
Well, Lance is $6, and I broke one apart to make my dragoon; so unless I can find just the armor and visor, I'm getting a second Lance.
I'm considering buying a few Star Wars sets, haven't gotten myself Lego for years. Can any anons with them give me the yea or nea?
Death Star final duel
Carbon freezing chamber
Droid escape
Millennium Falcon (75105 version)
>>5400751
Got a new Lance, some other parts I needed and Normal!Aaron(As opposed to Ultimate Aaron).
The same store had the Ultimate Macy figure loose for $6, but I figured it would be worth getting her extra stuff in the set.
>>5400764
Of note: The regular and Ultimate Nexo armors are actually a different shape: The normal ones have two rear studs, while the ultimate versions have four.
>>5400763
>Final Duel
Nice-ish sets. I like the figures, but I don't think it's worth what they're asking for it, at least for me. Maybe I'm just bitter than I can't find a place to display it.
>Carbon Freezing Chamber
It was a fun build. Comes with Boba Fett for cheap-ish. I like it.
>Droid Escape
Another fun build. Apparently Jawas are pretty rare as minifigs, but I just wanted a new C3-P0 and the pod looks pretty nice, at least compared to what normally goes for an escape pod with legos.
>Millenium Falcon
I fucking loved it until I dropped it. God damn it why did I have to do it. Great version of the Falcon, though if you like OT better than Force Awakens, the previous set was pretty much the same except with OT figures.
>>5400083
>>3rd floor storage with creepy animatronic figs
Where can I find the sword pieces that come with ultimate clay on bricklink? The trans-blue ones? (also, how in the fuck have those sets been out this long and there STILL isnt a list of their parts on there yet?)
>>5400083
>>3rd floor storage with creepy animatronic figs
I de-Republiced my Z-95 and made a rebel/civillian version. I mostly just stripped the burgundy parts. It still doesn't look like the classic EU design but I may fool around with it more.
>>5400783
It's a Trans-Dark Blue Minifig, weapon. It has not been inventoried, yet.
>>5400791
Personally I always thought the original EU design looked boring, I like the Clone wars version a lot better save for the nose wings.
>>5400783
Found some here: https://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=vampyr66213&itemID=85378352
Min $10 US, though. Might as well buy Ultimate Clay at that point.
>>5400085
>not using the Lego Batman 3 designs
Why? They looked great and were pretty distinct from the regular batman and robin minifigures
>>5400195
I kinda wish that the Batmobile was being sold on its own, like the Ecto-1/Firehouse thing with Ghostbusters.
I want to make a semi-unique, perhaps EU, TIE Fighter-esque starfighter.
Suggestions?
>>5400741
Depends on the store. I made two Paypal orders from two separate BL stores in Germany last month, and while the first automatically converted the bill to USD, the second made me pay in Euros.
Check the store's terms to see what payments they accept.
>>5400842
TIE/D droid fighter. TIE Avenger. TIE Bomber.
Actually I kind of want to try designing a TIE Bomber in LDD now.
>>5400842
Not sure. I remember back in the say converting Darth Vader's Tie Fighter into a Tie Interceptor and being super proud of that.
I don't know of a EU Tie that hasn't been done. Even the Tie/D has been made. Recently.

It always makes me happy to see a Lego Quest picture show up here. Or anywhere on 4chan.

>>5400905
The Mercedes-Benz Arocs uses 30 of them to make the front out of Technic and system parts.

As far as I can tell ALL the solid color armors have 4 studs on the back. Two two-color armors only have 2 studs.
Also, some people were asking if there's variation to the prints on the minifigs. No.
Has anybody here gotten the First Order TIE Fighter SF?
I'd give my thoughts on it if somebody here already hasn't.
>>5400977
So nice I bought it twice.
I'm turning one into an Interceptor, though, so yeah.
>>5400977
I got it, its alright, if you dont have the 2012 one I'd recommend it, I'm not even a Imp fan and I found my self with 3 TIE variants now, Interceptor from the 2012 kit, the Fury, and SF. I'm probably gonna get the Advanced/x2 now because this one looks too good to pass up

I've been working on Space Police III-ish things lately, here's a pair of trucks. Just finished the green one today.
>>5401161
Retired is when it stops being produced.
Sold out means they don't have any left in stock.
>>5401164
So it basically means that it is not possible to purchase at the moment, but will be available later?

Hey /lg/
Here's a haul I found today for $15AUD
The bowl is what I'm keeping because I pretty much only use technic these days and the rest I'm giving to my cousin's kids. Already sorted out all the non-lego and this is what's left.
Whoever owned this must be the same age as me because it's all from the same sets that I bought when I was a kid.
>>5401362
Nice find. At first I thought it wasn't a very good deal, but then I remembered brick is a controlled substance in Australia.
>>5401319
Don't forget to get the Ghost from the monster Minifig set.
>>5401362
Looks like you have some of the parts for this:
http://brickset.com/sets/8465-1/Extreme-Off-Roader
I'd try to reconstitute that before giving the rest of the stuff away. Might be a nice thing to have.
>>5401218
Remember. Truman is the one who warned us all of the military-industrial complex before he left office. It's almost as important as the fact that nobody listened.
>>5401380
Hey thanks, I was going to find out what those parts were for, it didn't come with any instructions for it.
I kept most of the technic from that bag because I don't have much in the way of steering parts but I'm giving them the big wheels because they'll enjoy them more than me. I might make my own version using the parts though.

I don't own a hotdog suit so I can't actually try it out but hopefully this can give you a good idea. Only printed on one side.

You could stand to move your light source. I can get some decent pics even with my phone cam and a $10 work light.

Garage sale or op shop?
I've never found lego in an op shop :(
(thrift store)
So I picked up two of these at a Target and, the build is meh and Star Wars overrated but they're a pretty amazing parts pack.
4x 1x4 orange tile
4x 2x4 black wing piece, two pairs
8x black antenna
4x 1x1 round black brick
some bits with clips on them
10/10 would buy again
Any Aussie lego employees here? I work for a small toy store in Sydney, and my manager wants to sell lego, but lego won't set up an account for them.
>>5401564
Now they HAVE to be zapping Ghost Vitruvius.
>>5401570
Oh dear. Volume is often a thing for these stores, especially in Australia. I'm no Lego rep, but I did used to work for a company that had a similar relationship with smaller stores; chains and big stores get better treatment due to their volume, so don't take my word as law.
>>5401227
>>5401239
>>5401242
Shit man, he's packed into literally every copy of Lego Dimensions too. He's ridiculously common and easy to get.
>>5401558

>>5401572
Good idea, IG-Meighty8
So, I just bought a Lego train off Amazon...
Did I make a mistake?
Welp I built Moltors smasher and the mecha horse and the horse was as disappointing as I expected it to be. Not really into the look of it and don't like the transforming aspect. Just purchased it for completeness sake.
Moltor's smasher on the other hand is great. The minifig is cool with those additional hands, shoulderpads and has a cool face print. The build was much more fun. It's less technic based than the horse and the mechanism when you roll it is smooth and super cool. When you roll it over wood it even sounds like a heavy duty kinda shitty diesel engine which is pretty fitting for the vehicle. Kings mech and jestros chariot are my favorites in this line so far and moltor's smasher is right up there with them. Wish there would be an ultimate moltor but I don't think they're doing one.
Too many fucking minifigures.
>>5401625
>and the horse was as disappointing as I expected it to be
I bought that tonight on a whim and holy shit it sucks. It sucks as a horse and it sucks as a bike, it's just ass.
But it's a good parts pack so I'm not really complaining.

I'm actually a bit miffed that the Lavaria figure doesn't unlock her for play in the game. Bit of a bummer.
I know it works on Smart devices; any idea if they're planning a 3DS release that uses the camera and maybe has a better fighting system since half the time my hand covers up whatever the hell is going on?

>>5402052
Neat
>>5402054
fuck off. they've made sets based off of video games that aren't canon and more recently, a ship from the same cartoon Mace's ship is from.
>>5402051
Not fully sure, but I did catch a ban the other day because I was drunk and called a poster some things while defending the original ghostbusters. Got the bog standard bullshit ban notice "hur dur, keep da trolls on /b/ and da everything else on /pol/". Also plenty of posters in these threads can be pretty thin skinned as well (cue the replies of "NOOOO, POLITICS!" Get over it, this is all im going to say on this matter, I swear.)
Day you cant call someone a faggot on 4chan of all places, even in a fun ribbing sort of way, is the day this place has fully become reddit. and that day has passed a thousand times over.
Soon, Hiroshi-moot is going to have to add a trigger warning option for posting so janitors dont spill all their hotpockets.
I kid, I kid.

>>5401580
Thanks for the insight anon.
>>5401900
I would say get a bunch of random part lots on ebay by color, buy a few of those boxes of randoms from stores, then buy a few big sets.
Also, get the GF hooked early on. Older she is and more deprived of creativity from a young age the better (my GF is 54. She never had lego, I got her hooked right after force friday and she so far has spent like close to 8-10k on lego since then. Shits cash. Modulars everywhere, her only current concern is lack of space, but im getting her used to the ideas of shelves everywhere.)
>>5402066
I got a warning after proving the brickluminati are real. Pretty possed off.
Does anyone know of any cheap lighting set ups? Double VIP points if they can change colors.
>>5402052
Sleek as hell, nice thinking on the rear tread.
>>5402084
not color changing, but theres a chink on bricklink who sells lighting kits and bricks, direct from chinaland, for pretty cheap (unless you buy one of his "official" kits, like his palace cinema kit. $100 funbux, while his regular plain old LED plates goes for like $4. His street lamps go for about $7.)
>>5402076
There's a weekend indoor flea market near me with a little toy shop that sells the newer lego sets for regular price. It's possible to get in touch with them, but be ready to put up a lot of real estate to make the volume.
>>5402052
Ice Planet 2202 when?
>>5401561
Poe's polybag instructions were too hard
i built it wrong
Friends who use Bricklink, do you ever get tracking/insurance on items even if it's in the same State/Country/City? I feel like I should get it, but at the same time it's kind of a waste because it's just local.
>>5402134
No, I don't. I hope you don't pay for faster shipping either.
>>5402134
I havent done insurance yet, but something tells me im playing with fire and soon enough karma will catch up with me.
Save a few pennies now, get fucked later.
sorted and organized all my old legos (5-6,000 pieces-ish) and bought the ultra agents copter, the nexo knights chaos chariot, and the elves crystal hollow, all sets selected on the bitchin'-ness of their pieces
the decade-long hiatus is over, time to get back into lego

Damn, the empire's gone to shit. They'll let anyone in these days...
Reeeeeeallly regretting buying from the Lego Shop.
A set I ordered over a week ago now STILL hasn't actually been shipped. It's "shipment tendered", which basically translates to "if you don't mind, we'd really appreciate it if you could put this on your plane for us, if you're not too busy, that is".
Do they just still have a massive backlog of Christmas deliveries or something? Has anyone else gotten a Lego Shop delivery recently? Did it take longer than usual?
>>5402173
I ordered some NEXO Knights the night they went up and it took a little over a week to arrive. That's par for the course outside of the holiday season, when it goes much faster.
I don't know what you ordered, is it possible it was something that was backordered? There's quite a few things that are orderable but say "not shipping until January 15" or some such.
All these 2016 sets. So close, and yet so far away.
And it's probably sideways. I'm shitposting on the go, sue me
Why does /lg/ despise fleshies?
And why is Lavaria considered a holy grail?
You guys confuse me.
>>5402179
Nah, it was the Doctor Who set. They've got plenty in stock.
>>5402182
>jokingly refer to her as Lava Waifu a couple threads ago
>now everyone's obsessed with her
D-did I create a monster?
Only reason I like Lavaria is I'm planning on using my castle pieces to build a kickass Elder Scrolls MOC, and she's a perfect Flame Atronach.
>>5402184
Yeah they took forever to get around to actually shipping my Doctor Who set. It was stuck at "shipping label created" for days, and they wouldn't charge my account either.
>>5402193
>>5402193
>Yes, you were the first person to talk about how great Lavaria is
Stopped reading there. Good to know I'm such a trendsetter.
After checking for two weeks, I finally got my hands on an FO battlepack. Going back to the store tomorrow to pick up the last one.
Too the Anon who built this, could I possibly get a couple more shots of it from back and both sides? Id like to try and build it myself.
>tfw bought 8 more Nexo Knights grunts
I have about a dozen now lads, how much more should I buy?
What does /lg/ think of Rey's Speeder?
>>5402173
I dunno. I put in an order over last weekend, and it shipped on Monday. Supposedly will be here Thursday, but they sent it via FedEx, so I am expecting to have to chase it down to one of the FedEx buildings...
>>5402198
If you bought them at the Lego Store, you'd have gotten even more for free, you fool!
>>5402186
But her set doesn't let you play as her in-game! What's the point?
>>5402186
she's been lava waifu since the first shots of her came out man
>>5402202
It's good. Maybe a bit too big, and it would be better in dark orange, but ot's definitely worth it
>>5402213

>>5402331
Actually, I haven't done much original building yet. I might still complete this and see how much the bricks would cost on bricklink though. I just can't find the large dish pieces in the LDD library that they used for the cockpit windscreen.

>Dewback speeder
oh my god you cant just call them that

brickset.com/article/8217/legends-of-chima-magazine-out-in-europe
Here an interesting report onthe Lego magazines. What was valid for chima must be for Nexo (Chima changes to Nexo).
Here in Germany its Blue Ocean AG that sell them. And they announced it in the last Chima issue (I will miss it) but dont mention it on their page or have the series site up.
lego-starwars.blue-ocean.de/
lego-ninjago.blue-ocean.de/
lego-friends.blue-ocean.de/
lego-elves.blue-ocean.de/
lego-chima.blue-ocean.de/
Hope this and the links help you so far.
Here are the amassed forces.
Imperial Forces:
20 Stormtroopers, 4 Shadow Troopers, a uniformed Sergeant, a probe droid, and the Nikto Inquisitor.
Alliance Forces:
16 Troopers, 2 plainclothes scouts, and the Falleen Jedi.
The imperials have more uniform arms, with the appropriate mix of heavy weapons and blaster rifles. Our Sergeant only carries a pistol with his dress uniform, as the overwhelming display of force present on our yet-unnamed planet was expected to deter any attack. The Inquisitor is armed with his lightsaber, of the same design as the other Inquisitors though he prefers a one-bladed style coupled with the over-charged blaster he carries.
The rebels have a mish-mash of weapons, several armed only with blasters, but they also have two Light Repeating Blasters and a heavy sniper rifle. Our resident Falleen Jedi wields two lightsabers, with flashy Aurodium hilts and eye-catching pink blades in addition to her natural Falleen Pheromones. An expert at deflecting blaster fire, she purposefully makes herself the primary target in battle, to spare her accompanying troops as much as she can.
>>5402488
I scanned my magazin. Sorry its in german.
The price is Ok.
3,50€ you get a comic story plus around 5 riddle and play pages and a minifig or some bricks.
The quality is rather good and i think most magazines are about 3,00 € so its a fair price here.
>>5402400

The current plan is to add more buildings and street details, possibly propaganda and graffiti, and set up a battle on that 15"x15" grey baseplate. Not just a static battle either, but have it actively take place.
>>5402637
Depends on you.
Tormak blazer, rather generic vehicle, but with cool transformation panther/tiger, rare pantha/Tormak mini.
icebite driller, cool icebear mech. nice build. only in this set icebite and icepaw.
I would go for Tormak, because this is the only panther mini
>>5402670
Thanks for the suggestion anon. I actually buy the panter one, might gonna buy the mech later.
I have 50 euros that I want to spend on Lego. What get? I would kinda like some building to pose my minifigs on.

I don't know if I'm blissfully unaware of postage rates, or if I'm being jewed really good here.
>>5402695
Oh, yeah, should've said "trans-neon-orange." But trans-orange didn't become a color until 2006, I think? (The limb pieces on one of the Bionicles.) I only have a few pieces in that color. So to me "neon-orange" has always been just "orange."
>>5402560

>>5402716
20 bucks for shipping 2 polybags? That doesn't sound right, sure Canada Post is a bitch but not that big of a bitch usually, I've shipped bigger, heavier stuff to the US for less.

>>5402716
It isnt so uncommon i think.

I think sometimes they dont calculate it well.
>>5402790
Already got King and Infernox
>>5402716
I think you may be getting jewed, I dunno.
I've ordered parts from Canada sometimes from the US and it's been relatively cheap.
>>5402742
>I only have a few pieces in that color. So to me "neon-orange" has always been just "orange."
I make a point of differentiating, because trans-orange is not fluorescent, but trans-neon orange is. I've gotten burned on BL a couple times when buying pieces that were listed as trans-neon orange but turned out to be trans-orange after I got a blacklight on them.
What do you guys think of the Z-95 Headhunter?
So I've started up on another addition in that series of vehicles I've been posting for the last few threads.
It'll be some sort of chariot eventually.

>>5402168
They just made a new Hoth based set, and we know for sure Hoth is getting a UCS set this year. UCS Cloud City is still possible.
>>5402834
The Clone Wars one? Objectively the worst ship design Lego has ever produced. Not one of its proportions are pleasing.
>>5402931
I know they did, I literally just finished building the new hoth set! I'm very much excited for the UCS hoth, I hope they reveal it soon.
>>5402941
I have such a boner for the idea of getting Tauntauns and a Wampa.
I have an old Emerald Night lego train set I just broke out of the cupboard, but I'm pretty sure the drive wheels are warped somehow because it's running very jerkily and maybe half the speed I was expecting. What do? Does it sound like something that can be fixed by disassembling the drive train and straightening shit out or am I stuck ordering replacement parts for this?
>>5402943
Who doesn't? I'm betting on a nice, big echo base blast door, a couple of those satellite dish cannons and a shield generator for the main stuff, but I'm hoping for lots of figs too.
>>5402939

She was a big fan as a child, we're both 20 and looking to make this a life-long hobby
Just got Rey's Speeder the other day. I like it, it's a nice little set. After assembling it as per the instructions to get the lay of things I reworked it so the storage bays open forward instead of back so as to be more like an overboost panel. Replaced the box inside with some engine looking bits.
It could just be because its like some sort of weird hotrod version of a covenant ghost, but I really dig the little set. Plus it comes with a golden crowbar, so there's that.
Decided to take a pic of my OC Jedi Knight.
Still unsure on a name but starting to think Kuru.
I'm just using the Alien Invasion Vic Viper from the big base set as her ship but really minor additions to it. I like the idea that she's a Mechanic/rogue Jedi.

When I wanted to run a Lego comic, my main idea was for the Star Wars characters to land on a series of different planets that were themed; so one planet would be medieval, one would be City, one would be ninjas, etc.
Maybe something like that, where they crash-land and have to find parts to repair the ship? That way it's kinda Star Wars, but not SUPER Star Wars.
...Or something.

To try and make Blood Orc Warlords and shit.
>>5403733
>Lance's horse
>Not Clay's vehicle so he can air surf on a giant sword.
Can you even into Metal, anon?
>>5403733
I'm so jelly of that. I still haven't even seen ads for Nexo Knights locally.
>>5402692
A-any suggestions?
>>5404338
Most o the good buildings are in excess of 50E, though. I think. Merlok's Library is an add-on more than a building.
Unless you get the Elves Bakery, or something (Nothing wrong with that: Elves is a great line)
>>5404326
Haha we all had the same idea!
I already have huge trorc (That's how I call trolls/orcs from fantasy era)army for birckwars
Convinced myself at the store to get both Lavaria and Ultimate Macy. Im satisfied.
>>5404380
even the gents are pretty cute, i just really wish they were a dollar or two cheaper. as it is, they're sightly overpriced
>>5404348
Figures. Oh well. Maybe I'll get changing seasons or something.
>>5404400
that might be your best bet
the problem with buildings is, they're big. and big means expensive
so unless you Moc a castle or house with a ton of cheap bricks you obtain, both good and large buildings are going to be expensive
changing seasons is definitely nice, but its not like you could work in a dozen figs at a time
>>5404396
At least they actually come with a decent number of bricks, unlike Ninjago, and they're cheaper than Speedorz. I think there's a decent balance.
>>5404408
I'm kind of hoping my local department store finally got their stocks of 2016 legos in though. I want a corner deli and a van + caravan and some nexo knights. Not all at once probably.
>>5404415
they definitely are nice, and hell, thinking they're overpriced iv bought 4 of them
but essentially they're a cmf + a mixel, aka a minifig + about 60 parts, some weird
they're WAY better than speedorz or spinners though
>>5404427
Well, you can use the bricks for other things and even make your own weapon sets (I'm preparing to make wings for my Dragoon). It fosters creativity far better. I still have the old astronauts EVA suit and one of my favorite pastimes was seeing just how many weapons I could fit on it.
Right now, which mecha sets should I buy. Already have Nexo's King Mecha
>>5404448
Gorzan's Gorilla Striker
Exo-Suit
>>5404448
I assume you're maxed out on Bonkle.
>>5404222
Where are you located, familia? I'd rather save on shipping, if you don't mind.
>>5404448
A second kings mech
then replace the blue with pink and make it a queens mech
>>5404508
SENPAI PLEASE, DON'T TEMPT ME.
>>5403702
>Mechanic/rogue Jedi
So basically Rey, then?
>>5404522
>the queen is frustrated because of how often she gets eaten by infernox, and how rarely she gets eaten by the king
>so she takes it out on badguys by crushing them in her new mech
you know its canon
just look at her pissed face
>implying i can post her pissed face
whoops
>>5404530
I'd agree but Rey is weird so far. Not sure if she'll go thru being a Jedi or anything yet tho I assume so.

>This Bricklink Store
FUCKING HOW??
Found ep 3 of Nexo Knights. It's actually not bad, though its Self-awareness can get a tad excessive.

New thread when? I daren't make it myself. I've seen how brutal you guys get when someone does it wrong.
>>5404734
Page 10. Though, as a Lego thread, images are important.
>>5404692
>lion temple
>>5404750
>"Why am I talking like a doddering old fool?"
Not just Lion Temple.
>>5404741
The one about the age-gap? No thanks.
>>5404755
^ I'd rather wait for a new, proper thread.
>>5404762
>I'd rather wait for a new, proper thread.
Good riddance
>>5404508
I like it!
So is there a new thread soon because image limit reached and stuff?
>>5404881
typical etiquette is when the thread hits page 10.
>>5404910
>typical etiquette
It's not typical if it gets ignored 9 times out of 10 just because someone wants to be that guy.
>>5404824
Calm it
>>5404380
It is a good buy anon...
>>5405116
>set faggots get out
It's not next /lg/.
>>5405124
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>5405372
PAGE 10!! GET CREATIN!!
>>5403944
If that's the leader guy then he should be in one of the next Ultimate sets.
