Have any questions? Check out the guide:
>Day after the New Years party. Make a diorama of your characters hungover as shit and shocked at the things they did the night before.
>Take a new 2016 set and build something ONLY using pieces from it.
>Benis (Best Entry: Ninjas in Swimwear)
>Freedom is great. Build a diorama of a villain escaping prison or guarded transport with/without the help of henchmen.
>A bar for your minifigs to drink at for the New Years party.
>Finish that unfinished MOC from 2015!
So I'm debating taking this museum set and turning it into some kind of Star Wars building. Replacing the diamond banners with Imperial insignia, maybe the clock too, and stationing two Stormtroopers outside the entry with another on the roof with a sniper rifle.
The real question: What do I put -inside-?
posted on a really old thread, guess ill post here. Snagged two Galaxy Commanders, Beta 1 Command Base, and a Intergalactic Command Base. Ended up buying them for about 340 added up.
Looking forward to the Galaxy Commanders
>tfw haven't bought a lego set in ages
>interest in it is sort of waning
>browse the store late at night out of boredom
>"what's this? nexo knights?"
Holy shit these are rad
My lego boner is increasing to the point where i may not be able to contain it
better than all girls come hair covered.
Still like the idea of her having the hawaian hair piece.
Because they lazily used the same paint set that they use for Stormtroopers in white, which includes white paint you don't normally see to function as a base for the other tones, I believe. Which means these Shadow Troopers end up having white blotched on them.
Outside. No replacement emblems or anything yet but I did turn the brick around that says "City Museum" on it at least.
Hey there /LG/
Thought I'd show off my collection and whatnot, feel free to ask questions on the tour.
First off, we have the shitty brick road. A display for fun little events, and a daily reminder that I spent money on the sandman set.
Also hydra vehicles.
Behind it, you can see the Hogwarts express, the hulkbuster, sentinel, rino, and Aquaman's shit shack.
And slightly to the side is the dustcave.
Inside. Using the Grand Inquisitor from Rebels as a stand-in until I make my own. Holocron on the left, blue lightsaber crystal in the middle, lightsaber on the right.
Next up is Jokerland, land of all things joker.and lex. And a little braniac. And the other half of the dustcave.
This is probably the coolest-looking prison set I've seen, and I'm one to usually avoid City stuff. This and the current police station would be the ultimate assortment of cop stuff for me.
Here's the last of the Marvel DC shit. And vehicle hell. The resting place of vehicles that weren't too cool for school.
Hrm. If I can find the pieces I might do that. For now I've removed the spotlights and managed to gather together some appropriate looking external decor.
Rebels Stormtroopers, from the battle pack. You can't see them in that shot but inches to the left are another... *Counts* Nine of them.
Hm, blast doors might be tough. But you're right, the glass and the door aren't very Star Wars. Are there any real doors in Star Wars or are they all automatic? I can't remember ever seeing anyone open a door.
>Who decides the challenges and winner of said challenges? Does the winner get anything and who decides said winner?
This month was a little weird. Normally everyone makes suggestions over the course of 2-3 threads and someone compiles them all, then they all get put in a poll and the top 4 get listed in the OP for the next month.
There's no prize except now you have a cool Lego thing.
>Ninjago's sky pirates consist of a Genie, a Snake with a pegleg, an Oni, a Witch and a fish in a mech suit
If they're not mixed with other troopers, it doesn't really stand out. The design bothers me exactly zero, so I bought a couple battle packs to have a decent sized army. I'd like to get two more if I can so that I'll have a nice round 20 of them.
Quickly made custom inquisitor. Debating possibly giving him hair. Can't find my bag-oh-parts for minifigs right now though, fucking hell.
Also, do you think the sniper should remain a standard trooper, or is this a good use for the Shadow Trooper?
Or should all the troopers here be Shadow Troopers, accompanying their commanding Inquisitor?
I made a race car. This will probably be my last one for a while. My main inspiration is the Nissan Skyline RS Turbo Group 5 race cars from the 80s. What do you guys think of it?
Like another anon said before, the windows really need to go, at the front ones - the top ones could pass for sci fi-y.
I'd also add some vegetation to the building and surrounding, to give it a bit more of an ancient temple kind of feeling.
JUdging by his camera that money statement is debateable.
I'm waiting for some troopers and some parts before I do it, but I'm actually building up to make my own little urban battle - I think this might be the former Jedi Temple on that world, and the Inquisitor is there to collect artifacts and quash the local rebellion forces.
>Image: Guarding the Temple.
Sorry that I have a job, anon.
I couldn't be bothered to crack out the old camera.
Shitty tablet camera worked for the occasion.
While I'm here, let's talk minifigs. My collection has grown since the last time I posted, are there any marvel/DC figures you guys are after? I had a few happy anons last time I posted this.
Must be hard to see with all those tears in your eyes. You're so brave to post.
>Image: Examining the ancient Sith holocron and lightsaber, long held by the Jedi as reminders of those who fell to the Dark Side. What dark secrets might it reveal to the curious Inquisitor?

I'm so triggered right now.
Seriously, though. Less shitposting, more Lego posting.
I'm having so much goddamned fun with the nexo knight stuff. I can't get enough of it. I got jestro's fun wagon and I'm having a blast playing with it with my kid.
>Having kids who enjoy legos
I envy you.
Anyone have this set? Amazon has it for a bit over $150 and I'm thinking of buying it when I get my next paycheck.
I think that is still way overpriced. Nothing in this set has got any kind of substance to it. Boring vehicles, the shops look like cardboard cut outs.
Only the tram is somewhat cool.
>Futuron in window doesn't match actual Futuron printing
So, I went to the fleamarket a few days ago and got 4 baggies of assorted used pieces, almost 2 kilos of random lego for really cheap. (about 12-13$ usd for all). It went pretty well because almost everything was in decent shape, just a couple megablocks and minor things. Got plenty of bricks and plates. Sorting was really fun. It came with a few cool items such as minifig parts, some weapons and clear bricks. Don't you guys love when you get a cheap bulk?
Couldn't resist to make a ship, this is actually my very fist one of this type, I tried to get the look of Classic Space but don't have trans yellow pieces. Here's a couple views from it.
Yes. One time though... One time...
I bought 4 small, clear, plastic storage bins of lego. Poked around in three of them. Lots of neat pieces, looked good, totally worth the $$ they were asking for it.
Didn't open the 4th one before I bought it.
It stank like someone shat in the box. I wish I was exaggerating.
I donated that one to a church down the street.
There's some room in the back of the ship so a passenger barely fits on in, the cover is removable. Here's a view from below too.
Sadly, an actual minifigure does not fit in the cockpit (for now),but this little fella would do the job for now. I could fix the space issue later. Any suggestions?
Building little dioramas is getting more and more fun, I love it.
Posted this in last thread. Rumble Blade with Nexo Ash.
Eurobricks is a decent LEGO forum that is great due to people with inside information/people who find listings online for upcoming sets.
They have a thread for every theme and license, with an entire forum for Star Wars.
Macy out of her armor.
She looks so... Uncomfortable...
I want this minifig.
How autistic would it be to buy this and never open it? I'm making a Rey shrine of unopened figures (I'm buying doubles of her), but in this case the box actually looks better than the actual lego. Thoughts?
Don't taunt him, anon. You know he's in pro-pain.
I got a lego 10000 in a black and white box today. The seals are broken but all the contents are still in their unopened polybags. Found it for $50 and couldn't pass it up.
I'm debating whether or not to open it. It's been sealed for so long it almost seems like a shame. Thoughts?
Yeah but have you seen those sets? The population of Lego City must be like 50% public service officials like police and firemen, 48% criminals, and maybe 2% regular citizens and shopkeeps.
Man, it's always bugged me that the Empire had a whole class of troopers with their own name that's really just the regular Stormie with a pauldron.
>The population of Lego City must be like 50% public service officials like police and firemen, 48% criminals, and maybe 2% regular citizens and shopkeeps.
Copenhagen really went downhill.
>When your addiction gets out of hand that you start trying to re-create QR codes from milisecond snippets of the "How to Scan Nexo Powers" video from the app
>no good lego castle sets aside from MMV since the 90's
>it's getting harder and harder to find the good castle sets
seriously what went wrong? the old castle sets were badass. 6090 and 6086 were GOAT tier. being a castle fan is suffering, the 2000 castle was shit and every single castle after that was the same shit just with different knights
Yeah some of the baseplate castles are pretty cool. I know some people don't like them and there are definitely some sets that did baseplates wrong (6091 comes to mind) but if used correctly they're a good way to add height
>Just finished pic related
This thing is badass for what it is.
>any set with a lot of large pieces insultingly called Juniors-esque or playmobil because LEGO fans want everything brick-built
>any set with a lot of small pieces results in LEGO being accused of piece count padding by LEGO fans
>LEGO fans say they want big baseplates again
>big baseplates are always things that could be brick-built
>TFW LEGO fans are fucking hypocrites just looking for reasons to complain
Okay I reworked the Jedi Temple entrance to be a more Star Wars-y sort of blast door style. I had to tear apart Mos Eisley Cantina to do it so if any drunks show up don't open the door.
There's one that works, which is the Piranha power up. But I think these two are too blurry, and when I try to scan the forgeries I made, I get nothing, not even an error message or "YOU ALMOST GOT THE POWER". So it's either my positioning is wrong, or these codes were decoys and shit.
It comes with plenty of useful landscaping pieces, a handful of the good 2x2 jumper tile, as well as a few parts in the rather rare Medium Flesh color.
It's a decent set on its own, being a cozy little fully-enclosed minifig-scale home that is designed with modularity in mind. Fits in nicely with medieval collections, or with any of the outdoorsy City/Creator sets.
The head pieces are designed to be "in System" - meaning that their measurements work well with certain legal part connections.
Did I convince you yet?
Will these two work, anon? I resized some older /lg/ pictures hoping for the day Merlok 2.0 becomes compatible with any of my devices.
Also what's the name of that piranha one
Are you the anon who offered to share their 51 powers?
I kinda hope no one makes one. Or at least, the powers displayed would only be the useless LEGO Shop images.
Part of the fun is in the hunt.
They're not random; the ones you see on a set's box will be the ones it comes with.
As well, each power only has one QR code, so if someone were to put all existing powers into a single public database, the fun would be ruined.
>bought this set like four years ago because you faggots told me it would be rare due to the hulk fig
>have it new in box sitting on a shelf
>barely gone up in price on ebay
i've been fucking memed
superhero sets are bad investments. People only want the minifigs and the prices for those are undercut because the chinese bootlegs are pretty good.
To be fair to the people you talked to, this was less obvious four years ago.
>Yeah some of the baseplate castles are pretty cool
same about this island
>tfw when Chima could bring some really BADASS plates like swamps or mountains
>tfw when Nexo Knights could bring a motherfucking VOLCANO BASE PLATE
I sold the hulk figure alone for like 40 bucks. Its a timing thing. I sold it before the new one came out. If you're buying something as an investment research your investment. You didnt keep track of the market, its your own damn fault, you could have profited.
well i think i originally got the set at kmart for 40 bucks so maybe I can sell it on ebay for 75 and just get it out of my hair
either way i'm done investing in lego
I have gathered my forces to battle the Rebel scum!
...Now I just need to buy some Rebel scum.
Every time I see a really fucking cool spaceship design, I always wish people would release build instructions to go along with them.
It'd be a really great way to introduce people like me who can't build a decent spaceship if my life depended on it, to really clever, out-of-left-field construction ideas.
okay Lego never stops to amaze me. Picrelated is such a simple thing that i can build yet i never thought of using these 2 parts like these to decorate my blocks.
So doing this.
I like your idea. This bank fits to those "Antiutopia structures" like from movies about nazies or Equilibrium.
Probably will get it too to transform into some sort of industrial Bureau
When I first started out building military MOCs I thought the same thing, but in the absence of instructions I actually found it more satisfying figuring out things on my own.
(Of course, I understand that that doesn't apply to everyone; just wanted to share my experience with the whole 'providing instructions' thing.)
>star wars battlepacks in the second half of the year
keep telling yourself that buddy
you think thats impressive
you take a fuckin scorpion
you take a fuckin fryin pan
you add some disk shit
seriously though, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose
thanks. too bad the most wanted part is museum itself...i bet that big police car and helicopters raised the price quite a lot. however City sets tend to be not so expensive so may be its ok
To be fair that was used by alien space bugs from space
On a side note, i miss those guys
It does sound pretty autistic, yes, but if you like the box better than the figure, just buy it, carefully open it and either use the parts or sell it and keep the resealed box in your display. No one will know it's empty.
Open it! I regret not knowing until years later that they re-released this set because it was during my dark age.
What are you going to do with the ugly Minecraft faces?
I really hope Chima comes back in a year or two and they do the sea creatures/dragons or whatever with more tropical areas like in the first wave.
>I really hope Chima comes back in a year or two
um..did that ever happened to any specific theme? i never seen any of them coming back.
I love chima for battlebeasts theme but i dont see how it can be brought back. It already ended i think. Just like Galaxy Squad, Space Police, Aquazone and many others.
The only times themes had been brought back in the past couple of years are:
>Space Police III, resurrected after 16 years
>BIONICLE G2, brought back after 5 years
>Ninjago 2014 (?), they had planned the line to end in the first half of 2013, but changed their mind in time for the next year of release
can you post a closeup of that little engine block in the upper left corner?
oh i didn't know about Ninjago having a break.
Same about Blacktron and SP. I thought those were just going on and on.
Reading Jestro's info, it seems like he's not even the main villain. It's the book.
Jestro is just a clown that wasn't funny enough yet people laughed at him while he didn't liked that. He basically a tool in Evil Book's hands.
I can't wait to get him.
im curious if anyone else does this, theres obviously no way im the only one
does anyone try to incorporate as many of the extra pieces into their sets as possible, and/or slightly change their sets to make them "look better" to you?
i just picked up some mixels, and a few polybags, and realized i did it for all 4 of them without thinking twice
my rule usually is that if a part isn't used, it goes in an extras bag, and that bag can be used on any set if i need it. usually its grabbing a few studs or 1x1's and using them as filler/hiding them so i can steal a plate to put somewhere else on the build
for the mixels its usually small and just using whats extra. Forx's combover changed directions, and i gave him a tongue in his bucket, and Kram moved all his red trans pieces to his knuckles on his hand
But i realized while building the cowler dragon, that it looked retarded without legs. so i had to make its body bigger to accommodate leg height, and just gave it eyes for shits and giggles (mixel eyes fix everything) Poe's ship polybag, i flipped parts on the engine and wings around backwards, and made the cockpit bigger, and with the extra, made a little stand so it can stay in attack position
i can see three other sets alone on my desk this happened with, and others i probably cant remember on my shelf
tl:dr how many of you go off of instructions while building sets, because you think you can make it better
and i made a little picture so people didn't have to look up what shit looks like in my retarded blogpost, but forgot to attach it like the tool i am
(also the guy whos picture of poe's ship i used, built it wrong)
nexo knights is definitely pretty impressive, but if you're on a budget (and who the fuck isn't with legos) id go for the seasons
jestros wagon makes one wagon, the house makes three houses
Does the Nexo Knights Armor fit a Stormtrooper helmet?
I do it with basically every set. Mostly just to make Star Wars sets more screen-accurate but City cars also aren´t always 100% well thought out.
I also like to change pieces in the inner workings of each set. The UCS Slave One has so many wine-red pieces hidden, I just changed them all out with whatever I had the most of. A 1x2 brick becomes a 1x2 wine red plate with 4 1x1 studs in trans-red. It´s tme-consuming but you have much more and better pieces free to use then. The Modular detectives office uses 17 1x1 studs with holes, I changed them all out for normal ones.
It´s in the customer service of lego.com. A few steps below the route for ordering missing pieces from new sets. Brick cost roughly the same as the average on Bricklink, sometimes more, sometimes less. Before christmas they had a bunch of licensed pieces available. People say the parts may disappear or change, it´s apparently very random what they sell and what not. Spider-Mans legs with boots for 2€, entire Hawkman figure without wings, the helmet of the UCS TIE Pilot but not the rest of any TIE Pilot body. Lego removed the option temporarily because the replacement parts program has too many claims after christmas. Some people say it´s back up in 10 days, others say mid February, they don´t have a fixed date.
I ordered licensed parts worth 70€ while it was still open. I hope they don´t restrict it too much with licensed parts when it comes back. Tydirium Shuttle Endor Rebel pants and the olive green torso for 73 cents each was my favorite find, got 13 pants and 7 jackets. Sadly no dark tan vests though. The helmet on the other hand was a rip-off, 2,71€ for a single one. I will just buy some old ones on Bricklink for under 1€ each and paint them dark green or something.
But even without licensed parts the service is quite useful. Theoratically every part of every unlicensed set is available. So if you only want the trans green armor of that 10€ Ultimate Nexo Knight you don´t have to pay 10€ for the full set but only 1€ or whatever the price will be.
Shipping is always 1,80€, the free shipping with 75$ doesn´t apply. You can make it apply by ordering something from the normal legoshop.com though like a Pick a Brick piece for 8 cents or a CMF.
There are also problems with checking out when you want to order more than 35 different lots of pieces, your whole basket may just disappear and you have to search for everything again. Alternatively you can phone customer service.
Oh thanks let's s...Oh...

It's real simple. Came with a City cargo truck.
aww shit i dont have the parts for that.
so obviously this guy is the main character and i'll want to get his shit the most
(even if heli-flight is dumb when compared to wings, jetpacks, or just levitation)
but it seems like the only way to get that half transorange sword is in that giant fortress set
i ain't spending $100 on one lego set
and i don't think i have the patience to build something that big
any other set i can get that sword in?
So the first 2 episodes of the Ninjago skybound season have been uploaded on this guys channel:
Nadahkan seems pretty cool, kinda makes me want to get Misfortunes Keep even more.
What's this? A car with room for 4 minifigures?
How is such a thing possible?
>but it seems like the only way to get that half transorange sword is in that giant fortress set
>i ain't spending $100 on one lego set
What you do is
Still with me?
Go to Bricklink
Order that piece by itself
Get raped on price but feel good because you didn't have to spend $100 to get one piece
Comes with a caravan to fulfill all your generic Lego City citizen needs, such as coffee mugs.
It might be a little tight fit, hair might have to be removed and it's pretty poor structurally (???), but it works, kinda.
Does anyone agree with me that if you place as many bricks as possible with the Lego words all pointing the same direction that the build will be much stronger because of the power of universe and autism?
>Mfw my girl friend asked me if I do that.
Thanks senpai! Now I do... the power of lego autism.
Thanks for posting this. I'm making a trotmobile and I stole its legs.
>mfw I got the last one
Actually, no, you're right. MSRP was $90, and there are still some for less. It's odd. Most of the minifigs were in, like, 4 other sets, but Gasgano and Sebulba were unique.
>either way i'm done investing in lego
You bought how many of that set? How many other sets have you bought? If you bought up 10+ of that set for 40 and sell them for 75 that's still 350 bucks profit. Are you moving other sets?
Or..... did you just buy 1 set thinking it would be worth more than double it's value one day? Cause if so, the problem isn't lego, it's you.
Ain't nobody got time for that shit.
>tfw I've gotten "in and out" of LEGO probably 3 times in the last 5 years or so.
>Always held a few sets I really liked back.
>Last time I "got out" of LEGO was about 8 months ago.
>Sold everything and "washed my hands" of LEGO
>See new stuff
>Dat Nexo Knights
>Dat New Star Wars stuff
>Dat new Modular Bank
>Dat Ghostbuster's Firehouse
Yeah. Fuck everything.
New star wars polybags. Get fucking hype. (Shuttle still kinda sucks, but dat star destroyer tho)
My local department store is doing a Lego sale in just under two days and they're also launching the Boba Fett disney infinity figure on the same day.
PLUS I have a gift card for the store.
I haven't felt this excited since I was a kid.
Looks like they're still using the design from the bigger set. Maybe the film isn't out in Denmark yet.
On another note: I just finished my degree, and suddenly my university is offering a masters program that is apparently run by 'people who worked at Disney and Lego'
Should I throw away two years of my life in an effort to show my MOCs to vaguely important people?
my display stands arrived today and i couldn't be happier.
don't worry though guys, i collect star wars ships as is but everything else i do is MOC
>the Republic Frigate is an awesome ship
>go pick it up from storage where I put it as whole
>one of the large wedges and the end from the middle part of the ship is missing
This time I'll really do it
and actually i remade the v-wing in the back in imperial colours as well.
So, I'm in Sweden for my usual couple weeks' holiday, and look what my prospective mother-in-law surprises me with as a belated xmas present!
She sure knows her stuff, that woman. I suspect my fiancée's involvement...
I actually spent all my christmas money on Bionicle.
Bonus pic: Tim the cat enjoying the box it came in
If any of you had to choose, which goblin would you snag?
Cats are a lego builder's love, and their nightmare.
This little shit came up to me once while I was building Protector of Earth, and I was scared he'd eat one of the little technic bits and choke. The bugger picks up the big crystal drill piece in his mouth and runs off with it
that spiderman cartoon is godawful
>i'll steal spiderman powers from every spiderman that exists!"
Oh man. My biggest phobia about building the Rumble Blade right now is the new kitten, Sidney. Pic related is him assaulting the box; god knows what he'd do with the contents.
What was the deal with this set.
Apparently there's two different versions?
and now the prices for it skyrocketed?
>see garage sale listing for "toys"
>call phone number
>"Do you have any Legos"
>"Sure we have a big tub of Legos"
>it's a tub of Duplo-sized Megabloks
Every goddamn time
>I want to turn mad profit flipping Legos to casual buyers
>where do I start?
You need to get your feet wet by getting a feel for how to buy sets. Buy a few City sets and mail them to me.
>Jeez this set reminds me of when i was with my ex girlfriend, she knew how much of a collector I was and she couldn't care less about lego in general, she purchased it from an OP shop she worked at for $10 and I was pretty excited thinking she was giving it to me as a present and all she said was 'I thought it looked cool so I bought it' She would always tell me to come in and buy things from there or for her etc.. She also has borderline personality disorder and extremely jealous and full of spite so I gather she did it to piss me off lol
Looking very nice! If you want to go further you can add vegetation and structural damage, though if I were to I'd probably use paints and realistic looking scenery, but you might not want to since it could otherwise ruin a good set.
I think Jangbricks is the only youtuber i can stand. Also his voice is strangely relaxing, not annoying or loud so i sometimes just open "look through 2016 lego catalog" and listen to it when im nervous and need to relax.
Woah, calm down builder.
I didnt wanted to debate anything but that Ninjago might has a different target group than Chima or Nexo.
And Before Chima ended, the Ninjago dont had any females. So i just guessed that there is just a different approach from Lego on different series.
And all three series are nice.
He IS the only good reviewer. TBS is utter shit. Go look up TBSUndertow on YouTube, the guy has hilarious videos on every flaw they have. They know barely anything about the source material, they constantly go 'umm', they're just awful.
They get sent free sets and JANG doesn't when JANG is far superior?
>part of the fun is the hunt
Part of the fun is wasting money*
Just buy spaceship sets, look at mocs, and practice. The "out of left field" designs are usually pretty apparent in photos.
>not posting based 2001 gobby
Aha, good one
That's not how you green text, I don't feel sorry for you
But Chima got an assload of new boxes.
Dont know what you mean?
Ninjago was towards the end a failure, but because of fans brought it back.
Chima was rather successfull with having fans, but failed with characters availability and the gimmick things that was Ninjagos downfall too.
And i hope they dont continue it with Nexo and their Ultimate sets.
The are over priced like ninjago spinners or chima speedorz.
At least they had extra bricks/forms that were expensive to produce. Here it seems more like a cash grab.
Wife surprised me with this just after the first.
Reworked the big guy into a Master Blaster type of character.
Now what ever would give you that idea?
I also made some more villains to fight for Jestro.
>Chima comes back
Thats would be my wish too.
But im ok, if they make other nice series instead.
Yes the story ended with all are happy. But it was more like a "Big happy happy end"
How to brinng it back? Most of the ice smelted
-> 1. In this ice were dinosaur and dragon tribe
-> 2. Landscape is flooded, opening into the ocean, aquatic tribes are coming (like pirates in UIce Age 3, using the atlantis molds)
->3. more swamps and new snake (ninjago reuse), piranhja (atlantis, galaxy police 3 reuse), moskitos (galaxie reuse) and amphibs tribes evolve.
Thats the human crux to collect and have a full house.
Thats what pokemon and the likes is build on.
Just think it as a brain training. In the end it seems pointless, but the value to use your brain and achieve something is woth the time.
And be happy you are a hunter.
Yea. I'm a Transformers, DC, Power Rangers, TMNT, and Lego collector. Out of every reviewer I've seen, he's easily the most tolerable.
Jay C is decent too, though. But he mostly does capeshit reviews.
hoooly shit this level of creativity with other possible builds.
My family was very poor back in 90s so i got only 3 lego sets through all 90s and this shit was my holy grail i never got.
but if i would ever see the back of the box with all these fun looking possible builds i would drive my parents INSANE so they would hate me forever.
it might have different, thats why i guessed it.
If i do this on easy brainstorming mode, i would say
Ninjas: mostly male icons, fighting sport, examples ninja turtles -> mostly male, mothers might think its to violent
Chima: futuristic, animals, tribe conflicts, exampeles thundercats, maybe she-ra -> mostly male possible some female buyers (animal figures), mothers might buy it more.
Nexo: knights & princesses, group fights versus monsters/dragons, classic group with female character, examples visionaries, he-man & she-ra -> mixed males and females, mothers will accept to buy it
But its just guessing, dont saw any info on target group
Or are there ads for shops avaible? They might get some infos to stock these series.
I remember liking girl characters just fine. April O'Neil or Airrazaor. I know I never owned any girl x-men toys, but I wasn't into storm and they didn't make jean, rogue or jubilee available till I was moving on to something else, also they were likely short packed anyway.
Then why does ninjago have females. HURR-DURR. It's not like one line is targeted at white kids and the other is targeted at blacks. It's all targeted at the same demo.
oh god my fucking eyes are burning. Put that shit away.
Nigger what the fuck are you talking about. It's all the same shit to a mom you dumb fuck. I honestly think you are retarded and you don't even know the difference between "to" and "too".
There is no argument behind, "Oh there is x number of female characters therefore this line is more for girls", all three of those lines have girls because lego will get fucking shredded by "muh female representation" by people who don't even buy the toys.
Action themes are directed at boys aged 7-12. There is no other shit involved her. Girls are not targeted, they are considered and by all means they can buy sets. Friends is targeted to girls.
>selling out of Lego entirely
>tfw I still have my first set
> It's all the same shit to a mom you dumb fuck.
Not really, some toys are ok, others are too violently. Ninjas still got the crux of being very aggressive and bloody thx to karate films back in the day.
And if the kids do karate or imitate it, its more spped and parents get frightenmd, something will break or someone gets hurt.
Thats why Kung fu panda is with animals, because softness let the parents think it harmless than with humans in it. Turtles are humans with mutants so a curious parent might not buy them it.
>Friends is targeted to girls.
Yes, and how many male figures are found?
>I honestly think you are retarded and you don't even know the difference between "to" and "too".
writes the one, not knowing the difference between "her" and "here"
Dont act as all high and mighty.
alt builds were the shit back then, you were so proud of yourself when you figured out on your own how to rebuild the thing from the box.
>Go to a bigass shopping center near capital 300 kilometers away from home
>Lego aisle on two supermarkets is decorated with Nexo Knights adverts
>not a single 2016 set to be seen
I'd rather be home and mess with Lego
The guy that imagines nasty stuff on Lego Boxes reporting in.
I was watching this Jangbricks video and check this out:
On 1:26min he explains "Squeezee and big ball comes out" and he starts laughing.
My first thought was that he was laughing because the thing he said reminded him about those "ass balls" that you supposed to put into your asshole and then squeeze it so balls come out one after another.
Hmmm...i wonder if Jang tried it himself or just knows it from porn. :^)
Maybe if you got a job you could afford lego too!
>Cheap Walmart shelving
>Top shelf is buckling
Please tell me you're not the anon he was calling a richfag.
Thats many. didnt knew. I looked it up,
2012 1 guy - 22 sets
2013 2 different guys - 19 sets
2014 2 returning character + 1 new guy - 23 sets
2015 4 new + 1 returning - 25 sets
2016 1 Guy - 14
But regarding the amount of sets, its still rather low male population and like Ninjago, more of token, like father, love interest or worker
Just was giving the guy shit for calling Richfag, Id rather have more Lego than more Shelving, My good shelves are with my other stuff, Its only buckled from having books on it/Britbong dont have walmart!!
I already have one, and she's not a fleshie, if that sort of thing is important to you.
It´s right next to PaB icon on this page when it´s up.
Pieces on PaB are slightly more expensive. 5 Cents for a 1x1 plate on Bricks and Pieces and 8 cents for the same plate on PaB.
Have you ever claimed a missing piece? It´s the same layout but with prices and a smaller selection.
Oh cry me a river. At least you're not trying to buy Jean Grey.
All I can hope is that they'll bring some sets out when Apocalypse comes out
not that we got anything for Days of Future Past....
Marvel shares merchandising profits with Fox. So, rather than take half (or less) of the money from X-Men Legos, they'd rather take ALL of the money from Avengers Legos.
X-Men movies also tend to be (slightly) more adult than Avengers movies, so it's harder to sell toys for them, since how many of those kids are gonna buy toys for a movie where you see Hugh Jackman's bare ass as he SNIKTS a bunch of mafia goons who don't take kindly to him banging the don's daughter?
Man, Days of Future Past was super good.
decided to try crossview images in bluerender, still figuring out a good camera transform
These anons are correct, but there's a little more to it than that (I'm probably gonna get some things wrong, so anyone who wants to correct me, please do).
Back in the 90s, Marvel Comics wasn't doing very well. They were still suffering from the Great Comics Crash of '93, and things weren't looking very good. To make some quick bank, they sold off the rights to the movie properties for X-Men and the Fantastic Four. They didn't know it at the time, but comic book movies were about to come back into style. The success of the X-Men and FF movie franchises made the owners of the comic book franchise characters reconsider their hasty decision. Since then, they've been trying to choke the movie-holders into giving them back the movie rights by limiting the merchandising possibilities of the movie franchises whenever possible.
This is why you get a Fantastic Four set based on the comics with comic-printing minifig torsos that comes out right around the time a new FF movie comes out. It's why they put out a Days of Future Past Lego set based on the COMIC version of the DoFP storyline, rather than the movie version that was released the same season.
In the case of Deadpool, the set he came in was based on comic Deadpool (obviously), but a movie version of his minifig is unlikely because of this licensing squabble.
>decide to organize all my legos while i'm home from school
>takes 5 hours to separate by color and clean one of my 12 boxes
well this is gonna take a while
Just gonna chime in here that you should be sorting by type, not color. It sounds like a big pain in the ass now, but you will thank us for it later when all your stuff is easy to find.
It's okay to sort your bricks by color if you want to. Everything else, sort by type.
Just ordered this with just under half of my remaining spare cash. Whilst at first I felt buyer's remorse, The turret for build my First Order assault squad, and the main scenery plus two FO battlepacks
Plus dat imperial droid
Only dark red colors are slightly different but you couldn´t tell unless you want to.
Plastic is much firmer. Of my Iron Men the official Lego ones are the only ones with flimsy feet, don´t hold onto plates at all.
There are slight mould differences. Decool crotches are flat while Lego has them rounded a bit. Sheng Yuan has blockier arms. Also all bootleg legs and torsos have much less plastic on the inside.
Printing is the worst aspect, misprints are common and compared to the figures they try to copy many prints have wrong colors (silver stripes instead of white on a Captain America) or plain wrong (Green Lantern legs the black print is much smaller giving him bigger, green boots). For exact differences look up Digger 318 on youtube he has reviews of most.
And it could be that they changed things, haven´t bought bootlegs for half a year now and they change up their things pretty quickly.
Comics are different from movies. They could have made a comic Deadpool like they did the X-Jet set instead of proper Days of Future Past. But Marvel has formally declared war on Fox in late 2014, I don´t expect anything Fantastic Four or X-Men related at all until they get the rights back which looking at their conditions is probably never.
These people all goof you even worse.
The trick is separating by color, then by categories (normal plates, wedge/round plates, hinges, clips, etc.)
When separating only by color you will have a hard time building something in a color you have very few pieces of.
The turret just has such weird proportions. And I still don´t get the tan plates. I hope they do Hoth battlepacks again next year.
>When separating only by color you will have a hard time building something in a color you have very few pieces of.
Everything else is sorted by type, but I have my rare colors sorted by color to avoid this problem.
Reworking my Delorean before I order the final bricks I need but I am curious what you guys think about this new rear section I have made.
>running my hands through the bucket of red gems at the lego store
I heard you haff been very naughty, /lg/!
I think they look fine especially when folded in.
You don't say?
Lego has some anally specific rules on the subject and I could not possibly care less; Legos sounds right in the same way foots and fishes and internets sounds right.
Plus it pisses people off which is a bonus :D
Any good heads?
I need a new camera...
