I was inspired by this guy from my trip to Hollywood Studios at Disney World.

He was yelling stuff like "Death to the Rebellion!" when he'd pose for pictures with people. His uniform was pretty legit looking.

Aside from the sets, every episode of Nexo Knights has a new shield to scan.

There's four in the "How to Scan Nexo Powers" video in the app, but only 1 is clear enough to scan.

There's one in the Lego Club Magazine

The Toys R Us display in my area has a shield to scan. I'm going to another store to see if they're all the same.

The Lego Store will have a promotion soon where they'll give you a shield to scan if you build something and put it on display.

Nexo Knights books will have shields too.
>>
>>5384037
If Nexo Knights really catches on I fully expect them to release random packs of shields like they used to with Bionicle masks.
>>
>>5384037
Did you take a picture of the TRU one? Or a screenshot of the share-to-friend version in the app.
>>
>>5384039
I don't know, the Ultimate packs seem to be filling the role of 'cheap way to get shields'.

And they seem to be happy to release powers via free methods anyway.
>>
>>5384039
I hope they do. This intro pack is in serious need of a shield.

>>5384010
You can scan the logo too, by the way.
The poster in the intro pack has 5 shields.

>>5384041
The TRU one is in the OP, it's Anvil of Trouble. I'll see what I can do. I don't think I can give out QR codes, because they expire. I still have to find out if they expire as soon as I close the app or if it's timed, because I just wasted a fuckload of time taking screenshots of QR codes for /toy/, only to fail.

Working on buildings and troops to do an urban battle. Gotta figure out what Rebellion troops I want to use, and thus want to buy, because I apparently don't have much in the way of generic rebels.

I'm also trying to figure out a good build for a Light Repeating Blaster, of which my current attempt can be seen in the hands of the front-most Stormtrooper there. I also upped the number of troopers in that squad to the full 8 + Sergent, while the guards are simply my Inquisitor's accompaniment. Might switch those over to shadow troopers once things get going, though, if I need more Stormtroopers to fill things out.

I'm going to be picking up one of the grey 15"x15" baseplates to set the battle on.

The building on the left in this image is just intended to be a facade and possibly to provide a roof with cover. Not really sold on the arches though, I might figure out something else to do up there.
>>

Translucent light blue, or as I call it, Republic trooper blue.
>>
Are medium/dark stone grey the same as light/dark bluish grey?
>>
>>5384202
To my knowledge, yes.
>>
>>5384202
they're very similar, they changed them in like 2004 for whatever fucking reason. A few of them mixed together in the light, you'll be able to see the different shades. But I don't really give a fuck, they look close enough.
>>
>>5384202
>>5384253
They also changed brown at the same time, and phased out old purple. Can't remember if there was a gap or if dark purple was introduced right after
>>
>>5384253
I'm pretty sure "Medium Stone" and "Dark Stone" are the names Lego uses for light bley and dark bley, not the colors that existed before the change.

When it comes to the Stone colors and the Bluish Grey ones, you don't have to worry. Medium Stone Grey is the same as Light Bluish-Grey, and Dark Stone is the same as Dark Bley.

The difference in name is because Bricklink uses a different color name scheme than the official Lego database.

The Nexo Knights show is pretty good. The characters are all likable and there are lots of waifus to be had. Even the kids, Ava and Robin were good characters, and maybe some of my favorites. Not annoying like you'd expect.

I really like that blue and blue color palette the king and queen have. Did they do that accurately on the minifigs?

As far as i saw, the show is slightly bland, but didnt saw a full episode, just web and some scenes of the first episode.

I have a few more that I haven't had time to take usable pictures of, yet and I'm out of time for this morning, so maybe tonight I'll update this and repost it.

Interestingly, in the game there are 5 colors of powers but IRL there's a 6th color. The orange one down at the bottom scans in as a "red" power.

When I saw the new Flash Speeder in stores, my first thought after "FINALLY" was, "Huh, they did a good job with this. Kinda spendy, though"

It's too bad Lego's standards for normal sets (non-Microfighters, non-battlepacks) are so high that we'll never see one for less than $20 ever again.

For me Ninjago was for younger kids than chima, or at least same range like Chima. Chima had more politics and drama, while Ninjago is more of coming of age.

But Ninjago 7-14 could be right.

But its Lego, who knows.

Orange knight is the 6th power ranger?
>>
>>5384536
It's funny because all vechicles in Nexo knights look more like a sets than ninjago versions.
>>
>>5384598
Have you seen chima? Noone liked it because the plot was too basic and it all felt like wasted potential. The first episodes were horrible.
Its funny because I find final episodes very good, but sadly- also rushed.

>>
>>5384852
yes, i saw all of them.
And i saw nearly all Ninjago.
Just webepisodes and some previews of Nexus.

And i liked the chima story, it wasnt realy basic, it kinda reminded me of Babylon5 or kinda Games of thrones.
But for me as an adult the jokes, but nearly as all lego series jokes, were a little bit cringy
or very basic, like looneytoons or laurel and hardy. But its for a younger audience so, im just arguing on a high level, i guess.
My nephew liked the whole story, more than Ninjago, he was about 6 years it started.
So i guess its alright for the producers.

And what i disliked was that enemies were rather good or bad, than next friends against a new enemy (twice).
End was too Happy end to close the series. Felt kinda rushed. But i felt it with the end of the secondseason too.

But its all personal opinions and likes. I guess
And i dont say Ninjago or Nexo are bad or Chima was better, i think its more about different setting.

Ninjago = coming of age/mastering skills/ancestory
Chima = friendship (love), forgiving, together against a common enemy
Nexo (just guessed) = Cavalry, protecting, all can be heroes.

Only con about this set, its hard to place Minifigures into their cockpit. You'd have to take off the windshields to get them into place. Otherwise 8/10, set is durable enough IF you want to play with them. Their also GREAT eye-candy if you like to use your Lego's as display. I might buy a second set just to keep in its box, old sets are vintage, also a classic. Get yours before they become overpriced.

figured out a decent 3d crossview method in bluerender for anyone interested

you just add one line to shift the camera before applying the camera transform. might be better with slight rotation but that would probably be a pain to figure out

camera
{
transform {
translate 2 0 0
row %LDDCAMERA%
}

+2 is for the left eye, and then you do -2 for the right eye. or +/- whatever depending on the camera distance and how strong you want the effect, this one is +/- 10

I wasn't doubting the existence of the minifigure (I brought it up) merely that the dissemination of the minifigure in a polybag is questionably sourced.

It's been speculated that it's coming in a polybag and I was assuming anon was spreading that speculation as fact.

Perhaps he has insider knowledge but he's not proved his bonifides.

>Why am I suddenly tempted to scalp a bunch of these?
Because you're stupid and haven't done any research? Otherwise you'd know tons of scalpers have hoarded these sets after Brickshow started a run on them by pretending they were super-limited. The scalpers got burned and still have a ton on hand from when they glutted the market.
>>
>>5385702
Is it scalping when the set isn´t in production for over a year now?
>>
>>5385323

I just finished that set yesterday. Just been streaming AGDQ and building lego all week.
>>
>>5385742
They got it so right, they haven't need to change too much.
>>
>>5386014

It's a pretty reasonably-priced set for the size and features, but not without its issues. The outriggers are slooow and you will most likely find loads of yellow dust in the superstructure if and when you dismantle it. The geartrain is one of the most convoluted things I have seen, but the set lends itself well to modding.

Now look upon ye mighty full RC version and despair.

I just need about £50 of Power Functions bits and a handful of beams before I can start on this monster.

basically just little builds. The gimmick is they come in themed "tribes" that you can combine to make bigger mixels. They're pretty fun. The Klinkers are cool. Most people get them because they come with joint pieces, some good basic bricks, and are pretty inexpensive.

They're not rare, the set feels like Lego trolling the scalpers. They made fucking tonnes of them, They're still in stock at a local book store, amazon, and ebay for almost nothing. It's a set that screams "Holy shit this is cool, and going to be valuable as fuck" But it's common and ridiculously easy to find. I started coming up with some story ideas for my battle. Intercepted Imperial transmissions revealed that the old Jedi temple contained several important holocrons. The local rebellion forces sought to collect them, but had to flee when Imperial forces arrived. They managed to grab one, but more remain. The Rebel scouts are keeping an eye on the Imperial activity while awaiting reinforcements.

Really, it's not as bad as it seems. It's just that original was so good. But those large quarter-saucer pieces that were so integral to the AAT's look were retired after 2002 (on Ogel's undersea base set). Lego tries to avoid using overly-large pieces anymore.

The 2009 AATs design was perfection, they should have just recolored that to tan so we could finally get the appropirate new UFO bricks in tan for proper AAT mocs.

>oh... i guess thats why they include extra parts right guys?

The reason why some sets include extra parts is because the factory machines check the boxes by weight. Some pieces are too light to register, so they pack more than what the set requires to make sure the sensor gets tripped.

I think it's weird how older folks assume anyone younger than them doesn't know what they're talking about.

It's clearly a full body blue shark suit. Not a guy in a SUIT-suit wearing a gray shark head.

Not trying to be a jerk... Just sayin' your age is showing.

Which existed before the wardrobe crew purchased two of to make the halftime show. I wasn't saying it was a direct model of the SLN shark; just that it's interesting how everyone who sees the image immediately thinks "Katy Perry left shark" instead of "generic shark costume that has existed for decades".

I've been going through my collection and I've realized that I have a TON of those actually-a-brick bricks (pic related).

Has anyone ever successfully built anything with these things, or are they just too basic for anything complicated?

Currently working on Ferrari F40 set that I got as a Christmas gift. Also got White House, Brandenburg Gate and Space Needle.

Question: How do we know if a set is about to be discontinued? The Imperial Hotel and UN Headquarters were both on sale on the Lego site but are now sold out. I don't know if I should wait until when/if they are back in stock to get the VIP points or just get them at my local B&N. I don't want to miss out on them like the Robie House and Falling Water.

it has literally nothing to do with SNL. it's either left shark (because Lego live in real world and will be more than aware of its popularity) or it's generic blue shark-man.

Recent Lego purchases:
>Star Wars Advent Calendar 2015 (a few months back)
>TC-4
>Ep.7 Rebels Battle Pack
>Ep.7 First Order Battle Pack
I really like the two battle packs. The minifigures in the 2015 calendar are pretty good too.

An interesting thing I noticed at TRU today was that they had Lego Star Wars watches. There were two I saw: Luke and Darth Vader, both priced at $20 each. The Darth Vader looks like the one from the Imperial Star Destroyer set from 2010. The Luke however is the one from the Ewok Village set from 2013, even though the art on the front of the box is different. I almost got Luke but I wasn't sure how common that variant of him was. That Luke goes for ~$18 to $20 anyway, so not so bad. I have no idea how much that Vader variant goes for. I think the more recent versions of him are fine, even though I'm not a fan of that new helmet mold.

Also I'm excited for most of the 2016 Star Wars sets.
