Got any ideas for January challenges? Give this post a reply!
Haven't bought anything in white a while, but I'm glad to see my figure finding skills are still sharp. I think the fly is my favorite, but I love the ghost "leg" pieces.
Help me decide /lg/, should I get the Millenium Falcon (and sell most of the figs to bring the price down) or should I get pic related?
He's ~6 bucks on bricklink
If anyone really wanted to add their challenge, they would have by now.
People don't like this ship?
Its rather odd, a lot of the new ship in TFA were McQuarrie to a T. I wonder if they released the regular Tie and Xwings for the first time today people wouldnt like them.
There are girls out there who love lego too, but most of them wouldn't admit it openly because of how man-child tier many of the more prominent lego collectors can be. (Jang not included, that guy's a bro)
>get a toys r us gift card and coupon
>go to buy the first order snowspeeder
>tfw they're still sold out
This should make it pretty easy to figure out.
It was purely a spur of the moment thing, I was ordering third party accessories for my stormtroopers off a website when I noticed a female stormtrooper body, from there it grew into a sort of commander for my shit.
Not necessarily a waifu, but the only figure I've put effort into customising.
i started off wanting a more even female to male ratio in my displays, then i went a little crazy and now it's the majority that is cute grille pieces.
Just ordered some lewd parts for summer too.
I bought the Carbonite Chamber, Rebellion battle pack and Escape Pod recently. Pretty nice sets, the escape pod almost feels like a real ship. Like a TIE Fighter hull made from scrap almost. The escape pod feels pretty small compared to the other 30 euro sets though.
Doesn't it? Looks pretty accurate to what I saw of it, but I've only seen the movie once and my memory is shit and it was in the background. I think it looks pretty cool though, as a lego set.
Ah yes, I love Darth Maul, he's my favorite Legendarny Lord Sithow
Did anyone want pics of the shields from Ult. Macy, Ult. Aaron, or the King's mech?
Found my man eating plant today. Just need the fly now.
I agree that the speeder's a bit pricey, if I could find it with 25% off or so then it'd be a straight up buy. I only really want the battlepacks for the figures, for when I extend my FO transporter.
That said I'd want 2 FO heavies per transporter and I want 2 transporters so it looks like I'd have to get 4 sets...
Cheers for the advice anywho. Sorry for my ramble.
Without noticing I made it the perfect height so a minifig can stand in it.
They're the same size as the common-beforehand towball axle, towball pin, and various towball pieces used with System for trailers and the like.
For example, the old common hook piece is perfectly compatible with Mixel joint pieces, and similarly old Lego arm pieces (used on maxifigs, robots/machines, etc) have towball pieces completely compatible with mixel joints.
I couldn't do it anons. Went to the Lego store to get battle of takodanna. And it was 74.99 Canadian. The box was tiny and I just looked at how pathetic it was, only interested in the figs. I just couldn't buy it.
>Order set through Lego four days ago
>Order's been marked as shipped for two days now
>It hasn't actually even moved past the "Shipping label has been created" stage
>They still won't even charge me for the damn thing
God help me I hate online shopping.
Ya just got one of each battle pack. Still think those were overpriced too.
We don't have these on Canada anymore.
I don't even want the troopers cause I'm not an army builder. I have three stormies and that's good enough for me. Also maz was a forgettable character and a forgettable minifgure. I just want kylo and finn. But I'll be damned if I have to pay $75 for it.
Is US $47.99/£32.56 a decent price for 10 Rebels Stormtroopers including Postage and Packing? Either that or I could bite the bullet and buy 2 more Imperial Troop Transports for £24 and get 8 plus the transports.
They are bringing back the Batman sub-machine gun.
These were found on the extraklocki website, what a coincidence.
Essentially you're asking if £32 for 10 Stormtroopers is a good deal when you could pay £24 for 8 + a bunch of parts or £36 for 12 + A bunch of parts.
I'd say just get the transports and have a bunch of extra parts to use, too.
Hey no problem man, it's easy to get a little addled when dealing with hobby stuff. Either way, enjoy your troopers!
>no pack with 4 normal stormtroopers
>the upcoming imperial pack has 2 battle damaged troopers and a meme shock trooper
I was thinking about trying to modify the rebel alliance speeder to look more like the one used on Endor.
Pretty nice love the Ant-man, Giant-man combo. I like the selection of figs and I didn't get the second Quinjet so the airport is a bit more desirable. Definitely getting the two smaller sets although they screwed up Winter Soldier by giving him Chris Pratt's head, perfect opportunity to reuse pic related or similar. Man I can't get enough tough bearded fleshies.
Some people don't like the Rebels trooper look. Personally I prefer it.
Pic very related
To stay on topic some dimension fun packs are 50% off on amazon, including cyberman and doc brown preorders. I guess that they are matching gamestop.
He's not wrong, there's a considerable difference. I passed up on rebels stormies (even though it really is a perfect battle pack) but might bite on the battlefront ones desu senpai.
I can't see anything out of this helmet, I keep getting shot by some kid with a sling shot and now a lightsaber that shoots stun balls, and even though my bosses keep dying I never get a promotion!
Just another update on this thing. Pretty sure I could've incorporated the pickup trucks, but no real idea on how to do that.
It probably shouldn't be that far from here, just a gun turret on the roof, some searchlights, and maybe a trailer to carry ammo belts.
I think I see what you mean about the thing not looking too limo-ish.
Also, why not snazz it up a bit? If you're riding a limo in the apocalypse, why make it tan? Why not be as fab as ever?
Why waste precious resources on making something look pretty when you can use them to make sure it runs in the first place?
It could also just be faded yellow paint.
The guy who drives this in-story happens to be something of a gun nut, so the idea was something with a good amount of guns onboard. Probably should get something smaller on the sides though.
>falcon costs $200
>you want a ship that can hold the falcon in a small space of its cargo bay
>a ship so forgettable you don't even know what it looks like cause they didn't even give a shit to cgi the whole thing on screen for a wide angle shot
Will the autism never end?
I have some homeless troopers. Can you guys reccommend me a house set for them?
A ship that would likely hold a microbuild Falcon in it's cargo bay and then have a cutaway section of halls and a Rathtar cage.
Rarely if ever are Star Wars Lego in any sort of scale to each other.
Plus, Lego has even made their own ships for the Star Wars line before. It wouldn't be odd for them to make a set for a barely seen ship.
Yeah I'm well aware of that shelf warmer.
The fact of the matter is lego will never make a $100+ set of a ship that isn't prominently featured in something. It's why we haven't seen a gr transport.
I'm building up an arsenal of Star Wars weapons and I have all these stud shooters so I thought I'd figure out something to do with them.
Any opinions on these stud shooters modified into rocket launchers? I tried black studs and grey studs just to see how I'd like different colors. I only have 12 storm troopers so it's unlikely I'll have more than two rocket launchers out on the field at once, maybe another in Rebel hands...
One of the new Bateman vs. Sperman sets had really nice bazookas that I thought were made with a studshooter.
Here it is. That's the best use for one I've been able to find. Yours look a little front-heavy to me.
Buying the Jedi Scout fighter is my single biggest Lego regret. At least I got an Ithorian Jedi and the droids out of it, I suppose, but the ship is just unbelievably meh.
>out of stock
Thanks you fuckers. To think I was about to buy some last night with my target gift card they had a buy 1 get 1 50% off so this is great. Got wonder woman, doc, emmet, bad cop, kitty, benny, and the Dr who robo homo.
Also those Terminators for $5.
I don't like the cartoony nature of these things, I get that they're intended for kids, but they're not my thing.
That said, I do like that RS' vehicle looks like his tank from the Captain America vs Hydra set
He obviously lent it to Cap >>5375188
Maby CW will have another Clint gives a speech about crazy shit, bows and arrows and being a hero, but this time to Spider-Man
Lego Quest is back up if anybody wants to come over and join in!
In response to the front-heavy comment, what about trying to make it look like there's smoke trailing the little rocket, instead of having a longer rocket?
Would you say these are better guns?
If you can't scan these, let me know... I could do better lighting but it'd be a pain in the ass.
If you get a bunch of these parts, they can kind of nestle into each other and it makes a nice looking smoke effect.
I hear you, but I'm just snapping these with my phone... As long as you can scan it in the game, it's good enough.
I didn't realize those clicked together so well. I'll have to check those out!
Right. It's late and cold out. I COULD go get those things...
I just tried to scan these images into the game from my PC screen. Worked fine.
You clearly can't go wrong with the Falcon, although it's way overpriced for the part count. I bought the Resistance transporter for $60, but not sure it's worth $70.
It's ugly and clunky but more detailed then you would expect, it's also a good size for a mid-priced set. The minifigure selection is unremarkable, but old Leia in her gaudy purple and teal outfit is amusing and the troops are some of the best looking rebel/resistance designs we've gotten.
>teeeny tiny little animal hairs all over the place
>don't see them until photo is already taken
Yeah, and it's held on with what looks like plain ol super glue. I wouldn't trust this thing on a key chain. I kinda wish it wasn't glued so I could just have an extra shield.
What was your favorite Lego set as a kid?
I played with this one so much, the wagon cover fell apart. ;_;
>What was your favorite Lego set as a kid?
still have to build an updated version...
I'll be posting the rest over the next few days as I get the rest of the sets. I'm planning to get all of them.
I took this thing apart and built other things and put it back together so many times I memorized how to build it.
>realize while building it that the torso is basically a throne
>see >>5370935 in previous thread
>fall in love with knockoff pirate wench
>find set on aliexpress for $30
>not feeling like setting up an aliexpress account and figuring out how to order knockoff LEGO from china for $30
>find single auction for same set
>mfw I win auction for $16 shipped
It's just an optical illusion from how I took the picture; that belt's actually going to the turret on the right. That did make try adding one to that gun, though.
Also tried the space pistols for the side turrets, but I think the tommy guns fit in better.
Two more on the website:

Time to shave every hair off your body and claim it must belong to that slut you you were boning while you built it.
>tfw forgot how to turret design
well at least it's not a red-colored incomplete model anymore.
and bluerender with some changes because things.
I would assume that the only important part is the border, but I don't have any devices compatible with the app to find out.
Here's a cleaned up shield that another anon posted here. If anyone wants to try it out, tell us the results!
Got my Pilot and two Gunners in and made a Jedi Girl.
Waiting on my Captain now for a full team.
As you can see, not very much. Mostly just slightly different build techniques.
Jokes on you though, that's still not even the best Jedi starfighter.
On a semi-related note, why is lego clinically afraid of episode 2? All the good e2 sets haven't gotten re-released in such a long time. Specifically jango's S1, obi's jedi starfighter and BH pursuit. All we really get is clone/droid crap from the geonosis battle, none of the actually memorable ships.
I don't think your mind yet understands what true autism with Legos is.
Because everyone would rather pretend Episode 2 didn't happen, apparently. I would personally rather see a new TIE Bomber than most of the stuff from Episode 2, although Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter being my first memory of a Lego Star Wars set that I got brand new makes me nostalgic for it. I almost want to buy it from Bricklink.
Whatever happened to the Acklay Anon?
Did he ever finish it?
>a ship so forgettable you don't even know what it looks like cause they didn't even give a shit to cgi the whole thing on screen for a wide angle shot
"they didn't even give a shit to cgi the whole thing"
gonna sell my spares, and sets and minifigs i am tired of.
yep, it's shilling time!
but only once a year, if nothing will sell i am either throwing it out or donate somewhere and they will throw it out.
So how's this sound as a preposed EpII line?
>Anakin, Padme, Obi-Wan, Poggle the Lesser and a Geonosian Guard
>Arena beasts (Acklay, Nexu and Reek)
>Arena (Viewing box and Stone posts for characters to be chained too)
Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter
>Obi-Wan and Taun-We
>Speical Feature: Can jettison the spare-part containers
Slave 1 (Jango's colours)
>Jango and young Boba
>Anakin, Obi-Wan and Zam Wesell
>Padme, R2-D2, Anakin, Obi-wan and Assassin Droid
>Padme's bedroom (Door, Bed and Window)
>Speical Feature: Make Obi-Wan Jump out the window to catch Assassin Droid
>Obi-Wan, Zam Wesell, Deathstick Guy, Orange Twi-lek
>Outlander Club (Bar and Tables)
Dooku's Speeder Bike
>Dooku's Speeder Bike
>Obi-Wan, Dex, Waitress Droid, Human Waitress and Dug
>Dex's Dinner (Opens up like Simpsons house/Kwik-E-Mart)
Clone Forward Command Station
>Clone Trooper, Clone Commander and Yoda
That would really not make a very interesting Lego set though. Funny enough, I think I was distracted by a flying speck of dust or something because I could have sworn they were being drawn into a Star Destroyer's hangar until Han and Chewie showed up.
I don't think Lego would make that many sets that aren't based around a vehicle to be honest.
My first Star Wars lego was Luke's sandspeeder from the first wave of sets. I really like that vehicle and been wondering how many times has it been re-released in different forms. Which you consider to be the most accurate one?
I want the Galaxy Squad minifigures but I live in Australia and nobody on Bricklink has them.
Buy from someone in Yuroop? Just check shipping.
I mean, some countries ship cheaply. I live in Sweden, and I can ship 50 grams of parts worldwide for about 3 and a half Aussie-dollars. It's without tracking or insurance tough.
Thx for the pics
And these shields just reminds me even more of visionaries
I've been trying for a while now and can't manage to find a way to make the wings work that doesn't involve 'illegal' builds without using pieces that aren't included in the set itself.
And I think I'm finished with this.
Might come back to this later and fix up a couple of things, but I'm pretty happy with this.
And here it is next to the rig I made a couple threads back, for size comparison.
So what's the best of the current Star Wars sets? I'm kinda torn between Poe's X-Wing or the First Order Transporter. I was also considering the TFA Millenium Falcon, but I've heard it's not a very good set. Can anyone comment on that?
Also, wasn't Series 15 of the Collectible Minifigs supposed to come out this month?
If by current you mean episode 7 sets. Then, I'd say the falcon. It has the best figures and it's the most important and iconic ship. It's expensive and nowhere near as good as some of the mocs out there but it is still a staple in any star Wars collection and you'll have fun building it.
I personally think that the best is the Special Forces TIE Fighter. Yes, it's reaally similar to the last TIe but it nails the look and the mix of black and red is simply badass.
The falcon is cool, but I find the minifigs a bit boring and just like the Tie it's really similar to the last version.
Between Poe's X-Wing or First Order Transporter.. Well, FOT has superior minifigs and play features, but the X-Wing is more striking - however it gets serious minus points for not getting the wings right, not to mention the godawful blue rubberbands, those really ruin the look from behind.
From first hand experience the x-wing is a really great set. The inaccurate wings are easy to mod using mostly only parts that come in the set. I love the thing, also it may be getting an early retirement so there aren't 2 versions of the ship on shelves at the same time.
Quality overlooked point.
Yeah I expect the falcon will be a bit like the(2006?) X-wing. Just kinda hanging around for a while so everyone can get a chance at the iconic ship
The tie fighter is way over-priced for what you get. It should be $20 cheaper. If you can find it for that price it's the best. Also the snowspeeder is my favourite set from the wave. It's the only set I didn't buy for the figures, it's just a fun gunboat that looks great transporting your first order troops. I like it better then the transport cause you can actually see all the trooos you paid so much money to acquire.
Also falcon is definitely uninspired if you got the last one, but if you don't have a falcon definitely get that first no matter what.
For the anon who requested this a few days ago, I have all the pieces, so here you go
Im not sure you know how browsers and 4chan work retard. I just did exactly what I suggested and it resizes the image to the browser. You have to have two options in 4chan settings on for this to work. Do it on your own faggot.
So I've been playing Lego LOTR and managed to reproduce pic related
here's a link if anyone cares. i'm pretty sure all the needed bricks exist IRL
Picked this up yesterday on a whim. I'll probably just end up BLing Macy's head, along with any trans-medium blue armor they make.
This is a pretty fun fig - lots of poseability thanks to the spooky spider legs. I like the idea of a lava drider, and it all works together really well at minifig scale.
It comes with the new trans-clear two-stud neck bracket, which is pretty sweet. I was sorta hoping that it came in black, but I'm not going to complain about having two of these now.
One thing I don't like is how the robot hands meant to hold the snakes upright can't really hold them. The grip isn't tight at all, so you just sort of have to balance them and let friction keep them upright. It doesn't matter so much for this set because I'm parting it out after this, but it's disappointing to learn that new robot hands can't grip new snakes very tightly. I kind of want to test it out with some older snakes and hands to see if this is a constant deal, or if it's just the tolerances of this specific set.
It also comes with one of the new stud-shooter crossbows. I've just been using the stud-shooter blasters as the stocks for other weaponry because on their own they look like big cartoon pistols, but I really like the look of this piece by itself.
It also comes with enough extra pieces to make a snake-grabbing pole, which is handy to have with this set in case one of them gets under a dresser.
All in all, not worth ten bucks on its own, but it comes with a "free" app.
Here are the shields if anyone wants them.
The poison one is definitely going to show up in a future episode.
>Snake grabbing pole
Cute. I used mine to hold the shield when shes not holding it. I also placed my snakes at an angle to help with the grip issue. With all the stuff you get compared to CMF price tag, I'd say its not that bad of a deal.
>Be me, 2 nights ago
>Finally decided to order 2 First Order battlepacks from Amazon
>A bit of drink helped me make the decision
>Checking emails this morning
>Order details from Amazon
>Somehow managed to order 4 because I was so drowsy
>Can't cancel order now it's been dispatched
What am I going to do with 4 First Order Crewmembers and identical Officers? Sure, I can swap out a head with a stormtrooper which was my plan in the first place, but now I need to muster up 2 random heads.
Although admittedly I was planning to keep the Crew and Officers as random parts and use their clothes as off-duty wear for my forces.
Any of you guys know how I could build a witch hat for this head design?
Don't ask why, you'll see eventually.
Just tried my hand at the P-52 merlin from star citizen.
This is my first build in ldd that isn't just a small tablescrap kind of idea, usually I run out of patience on larger stuff like this.
Heads up for my faams, Best Buy is also having Lego Dimensions figs on sale. If you have the Gaymers Club they'll drop down to 6.00 each.
>tfw canceled my Amazon order
>tfw got Benny, Bad Cop, Emmet, Kitty, and Wonder Woman for $10 because of $20 Best Buy Bux
>tfw Lego Dimensions was a fucking flop because of the greedy prices from the LG and Warner Bros.
Went shopping with the rest of my Christmas dosh. Grabbed Macy and Laveria, plus I found the fly guy from Monsters I was missing. Also got Tormak's Shadow Blazer for half off.
That bothered me, too. Still a great $10 buy, imho.
wow, thread moves fast today.
>what kind of ship is that?!
I just got a delayed Christmas present.
My girlfriend apparently went on my computer(thank god for private-tabs) and figured out how bricklink works.
I got a taun-taun and all kind of other small parts that I wanted for a long time.
Including the last part(the grey helmet) that I needed for my Robocop Minifig!
What do you guys think.
ohjeah, also some while ago an anon recommended me a torn-up speed racer torso for my Evil Dead Ash.
I also got that one. And it looks perfect on him!!!
If anybody is interested then I can snap a new picture of it tomorrow!
Thanks LQ! Jeah the combo turned out better then I expected.
Allthough I am not a fan of the stuble beard. So I am thinking of bricklinking that new batman head. Untill then my robocop forgot to shave.
What's a good site for building an inventory of parts to cross reference against brick shops so I don't have to order parts from different stores? The only thing I can think of is rebrickable's way (eg: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/gol/articulated-star-wars-at-st#parts_list) but I can't figure out how to do it from fresh
Can someone please tell me the number of this piece? I can't figure out what it's listed as.
>Another day passes
>Account still hasn't been charged
>Lego still hasn't shipped my shit
No that's fine. I'm just kinda upset that they would raise the price for that item for no reason.
There's still a bunch of christmas tree polybags just sitting in the BOH right now. Everyone else thought we ran out, but nobody bothered to go look for them until it was too late.
>What hair is that?
Ultimatest Lavaria, the newest spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association
Yeah, they kinda are.
I was originally going to suggest them as a single combined pack, but decided to break them up.
I really just want an Elan Sel'Sabagno (for the novelty) and the orange Twi'lek chick for some variety, minifigures.
Do they like a house with Swimming Pool?
When I was putting together figs for this game, I spent ten minutes searching for a black ninja mask with sword clip before realizing that I didn't have one in black.
Try this i don't know if the firehose piece comes in white though.
>We'll never get a set of this because of chrome
Imagine having to clean that fucking thing
>they take it to a desert planet
>it still looks like a new refrigerator
having to map the reflections on an object like that must be a pain in the ass
Looking for the mandalorian war droid ldd file from this thread.
Any help? Anyone have their own moc. They would be willing to share? Pic related...

Just picked up Takodana from my local target for $50, would not have bought it at msrp. Some thoughts.
>minifig selection is great
>it's hard to get a good likeness of Adam Driver without a nose but the faces are still pretty spot on, mouth is appropriately crooked and the angry face is great
>build is surprisingly satisfying, tons of bricks and plates, very basic parts for a star wars set, at least it subverted my expectations based on previous playsets
>Flag looks like bacon, really needs 2-3 more flags on there to look right
>play features are pretty bad but not too intrusive at least
All and all it's almost worth $50
Going back and looking at some now is really baffling. I had the Harry Potter Hogwarts Classrooms set as a kid and I don't remember the colors being so damn garish. Or the strange cardboard backdrop. There was going to be a picture here but image limit and all that.
What's more baffling to me is that it's going for like 4 times the original price now. And here I was planning on tracking it down for the fancy chalkboard piece and the books.
anyone have the build for that one anon's MOC of these guys?
i was interested in the xwing as well
iirc it was smooth all over with no studs because it was essentially built sideways?
