I'm thinking how expensive it would be to replace midget legs with actual colored legs. The only problem with that is Hulk, I think.

I bought the Carbonite Chamber, Rebellion battle pack and Escape Pod recently. Pretty nice sets, the escape pod almost feels like a real ship. Like a TIE Fighter hull made from scrap almost. The escape pod feels pretty small compared to the other 30 euro sets though.

I'm building up an arsenal of Star Wars weapons and I have all these stud shooters so I thought I'd figure out something to do with them.

Any opinions on these stud shooters modified into rocket launchers? I tried black studs and grey studs just to see how I'd like different colors. I only have 12 storm troopers so it's unlikely I'll have more than two rocket launchers out on the field at once, maybe another in Rebel hands...

You clearly can't go wrong with the Falcon, although it's way overpriced for the part count. I bought the Resistance transporter for $60, but not sure it's worth $70.

It's ugly and clunky but more detailed then you would expect, it's also a good size for a mid-priced set. The minifigure selection is unremarkable, but old Leia in her gaudy purple and teal outfit is amusing and the troops are some of the best looking rebel/resistance designs we've gotten.

On a semi-related note, why is lego clinically afraid of episode 2? All the good e2 sets haven't gotten re-released in such a long time. Specifically jango's S1, obi's jedi starfighter and BH pursuit. All we really get is clone/droid crap from the geonosis battle, none of the actually memorable ships.

So what's the best of the current Star Wars sets? I'm kinda torn between Poe's X-Wing or the First Order Transporter. I was also considering the TFA Millenium Falcon, but I've heard it's not a very good set. Can anyone comment on that?

If by current you mean episode 7 sets. Then, I'd say the falcon. It has the best figures and it's the most important and iconic ship. It's expensive and nowhere near as good as some of the mocs out there but it is still a staple in any star Wars collection and you'll have fun building it.

I personally think that the best is the Special Forces TIE Fighter. Yes, it's reaally similar to the last TIe but it nails the look and the mix of black and red is simply badass.

The falcon is cool, but I find the minifigs a bit boring and just like the Tie it's really similar to the last version.

Between Poe's X-Wing or First Order Transporter.. Well, FOT has superior minifigs and play features, but the X-Wing is more striking - however it gets serious minus points for not getting the wings right, not to mention the godawful blue rubberbands, those really ruin the look from behind.

From first hand experience the x-wing is a really great set. The inaccurate wings are easy to mod using mostly only parts that come in the set. I love the thing, also it may be getting an early retirement so there aren't 2 versions of the ship on shelves at the same time.

The tie fighter is way over-priced for what you get. It should be $20 cheaper. If you can find it for that price it's the best. Also the snowspeeder is my favourite set from the wave. It's the only set I didn't buy for the figures, it's just a fun gunboat that looks great transporting your first order troops. I like it better then the transport cause you can actually see all the trooos you paid so much money to acquire.

Also falcon is definitely uninspired if you got the last one, but if you don't have a falcon definitely get that first no matter what.

Picked this up yesterday on a whim. I'll probably just end up BLing Macy's head, along with any trans-medium blue armor they make.

This is a pretty fun fig - lots of poseability thanks to the spooky spider legs. I like the idea of a lava drider, and it all works together really well at minifig scale.
