Are all mathematically true statements provable?
>>8758816
Please don't bait the intuitionistic logic fags, they already have a hard life, being autists
>>8758816
No, but I can't prove it
>>8758816
How do you know a statement is true if it can't be proven?
So what say you, sci, has it been solved? Is there even a problem to solve? Why or why not.
It's not a problem materialists can solve because consciousness comes from the immortal soul, not the physical brain

Can you show me the equation for this gif?
Plant trees.
Let's say a human dies, cause of death is stroke or heart attack or something natural that comes with high age. After the person 'passes out', the heart stops beating, do neurons still fire? When is the person considered dead for good. How long do body organs/ body cells function/ remain 'alive'?
(pic unrelated)
>>8766629
death does not exist. Consciousness is not a result of the matter.
>>8766629
dead for good is when the micro biome or environment renders the macro person irretrievably dead. How long that takes depends upon conditions and level of scientific advancement.
>>8766629
There are various definitions according to how you want it defined. The legal definition is when you're declared dead by a physician, and the one I know most about compared to how long organs can be harvested etc.
>Legally dead
There's a saying "a person isn't dead until they're warm and dead", coming from the many cases of patients suffering severe hypothermia and apparent loss of life, cardiac arrest etc, being revivable for up to hours after the actual fact. It's not failsafe, but it's common enough that if you're found "dead" in an avalanche, at sea etc, it's advisable to keep trying resuscitation basically until you've warmed up completely.
>Clinically dead
when your heart stops, for long enough periods of time, the brain stops getting supplied with fresh oxygen, and hypoxia invariably leads to brain damage after only minutes. Four minutes without oxygen, and you're basically a meat potato. Of course, due to other factors like temperature, saturation of the blood still available to the brain etc, this number varies, but in room temperature, 4 minutes is as a rule of thumb, a cutoff.
>organ death
organs can be harvested from certain corpses under certain conditions. Usually high energy trauma victims and similar, because if the specific organ isn't damaged in the accident, there's a high chance it's remained oxygenated throughout the efforts to revive you, and is therefore "fresh". As soon as it loses oxygen, a warm organ starts to die, because the cells it is made up of require it. They are less sensitive than the brain, however, and can be harvested up to 90 minutes after circulatory death (when the heart stops).
It's possible to be brain dead but have a working heart, but without circulation, the brain does not go on.
Hyper cube represented in 2nd dimension??? Or am I Retarded....
What would you call this?

Is there no significance to a pattern like that?

Is there any scientific basis for the existence of ghosts, and by extension the human soul?
I'm working on a theory for human existence, and it works, but necessitates the non-existence of a human soul - more specifically the non-existence of any human knowledge that was not extrapolated from natural observations. Can I take that for granted or is there a reason not to?
>>8766278
>but necessitates the non-existence of a human soul
>more specifically
>the non-existence of any human knowledge that was not extrapolated from natural observations
what?
these two things aren't related at all
how are you considering the second thing a subset of the first thing?
>>8766278
>Can I take that for granted or is there a reason not to?
Dreams, unless they fall into a category of natural observations.
Looked at alot of data about how certain kids can remeber past lives with moderate detail then forget all details while they grow up. Made me start think about conciousness as a entity. Then looked into the theory thats the opposite of i am , so i think but instead the other way of i think therefor i am. What im saying here is , brains are only a medium for a conciousness to experiance the world.
Wrote on phone, go look up somethings about conciousness as a other entity shits cools
Why do Marxists call their sophistry scientific?
where have you ever seen such a claim?

You've have arrived at the gates of the underworld, and the only way to get to ever-lasting paradise is to appease the three gaurdians. Jesus, Baphomet and Kek.
To do this, you must give them each the correct incantation.
But, you don't know who is who because you can't see them.
You're allowed to ask three yes or no questions to any one Lord to find out.
While you've deciphered the language to some extent, you don’t know which of the words ‘Lel’ and ‘Lol’ means yes and which means no.
‘Jesus' will always provide true answers, ‘Baphomet’ will always respond with a false answer, and ‘Kek’ will give random answers.
How do you determine their identities to match the correct incantations?
>>8765953
Trick question, Jesus is the only way to get to ever-lasting paradise.

nice logic
What happens if you ask the question 'Will you answer this question with the word that means 'no'?'
I've been approached by a phD student from my local hospital that wants me to participate in a study about male fertility.
They'll pay me 73 USD to go to the hospital and fap and piss to give them samples.
They say that fertility is decreasing because more people are finding it hard to have kids and they think it might be because the quality of semen is worse in men compared to two generations ago.
What do you think could be the cause of this?
>>8765893
Chemicals/hormones in our food plus people waiting until they're older to have kids.

The only time I've seen it mentioned in an educational setting was a passing reference in middle school and then some mention of it in art class. The hype is mostly popsci shows and magazines.
Is there anything special about this number besides the self-scaled rectangle thing?

I remember it was a Tuesday, we had not had lunch yet, and school was cancelled after it blew up and I didn't get to eat until mom came home that afternoon.
It was the worst day ever, because I loved science and space.

Heh, made me chuckle. I don't even know why.
If heat riser why is the freezer at the top?
>>8765162
Literally for the electric company to make more money. That's why the compressor is at the bottom and why the compressor exists in the first place. No joke. It is the broken window fallacy for 99.999% of the fridge and freezer design market.
>>8765162
My freezer is on the bottom, it's a pull out freezer and most larger refrigerators have that kind of layout these days. Only really cheap low end ones have the freezer on top.

what exactly do anthropocentric climate-change deniers believe is the reason a decently-sized majority of the world's scientists and academies would promote "false science"? like what exactly is the supposed benefit of creating some mass conspiracy and overstating the effects of pollution, which are already bad enough as it is?
all I ever get is vague answers with a slew of buzzwords like "they", "political", "liberals", "them", "paid", "biased". wondering if any of the more rational denier (if such as thing exists) have something substantial to back up their claim that its all a hoax
Basically all conspiritards have one thing in common.
They think someone or something is trying to put the squeeze on their freedumbs.
results that conflict with the dogma are harder to publish
also harder to get funding for said research

Data manipulation is a large problem, in the same week my thermo prof proved that climate change is real, and my statistics prof proved that climate change is not real..
