Lone pine meet. Come for the great roads. Yes, the drive is worth it.
The original meet photo. And yes, if I have met you before/someone vouches for you, you may stay the night like last time. Plenty of room.

C what?
I have a Subaru Impreza that was originally grey but I painted it this color at my dads body shop. No turbo, not a wrx. Old hood had a million dents so I just bought one with a scoop. Would you consider this rice? I think it looks really cool. One day I hope to swap a wrx engine in it.
>>17351526
rice
>>17351526
Yep, riced impreza.
>>17351526
Super ricey.
would u buy this car?
>>17351427
>>17351429
Me neither, not my style.
FUCK YEAH I WOULD
My car is on its last legs, and I'll need to buy a new one soon. Is it worth it to buy something new if I have the cash, or is buying new a waste of money?
>>17351395
why is it on it's last legs? what car?
>>17351424
It's a 1994 Nisan Altima. Its always had some problems, like stalling out at stop lights, but last week it wouldn't turn on at all and I had to completely replace the distributor. "Last legs" might be over-selling it a bit, but it's only worth about $500-600, so it's getting to the point where it's no longer worth the money to repair it when it breaks down. I'm thinking the next time it doesn't start, I'm just going to sell it and buy something else, instead of worry about fixing it.
>>17351437
yea i'd ditch it for something obd2. like a 3k civic.
I really want to go into restoring old cars and need a nice car to begin with. should i eat a 2cv citroen or a beetle vw?
>>17324628
Also corvair is always the answer
> should I eat
This guy would probably go for the 2cv.

Prove you aren't a faggot, lets see them weekend projects. Mods, maintenance, repairs, whatever.

Pic is new injector and return line on a 6.5 turbo in my '86 K20. Changing glow plugs too.
>>17350572
clean your filthy fucking engine
>>17350562
I have to finish pulling the engine in my GSXR 1000 so this dude that bought can come pick it up. He probably thinks I am a fucking retard because it's been sitting in the frame for a full week now but I keep running into little niggling issues that prevent me from finishing it.
The most recent being that there was a welded piece of sheet metal folded over a nut in this really hard to reach location. Naturally, I am like WTF, I need to access this nut so I can grab it with a wrench and unscrew the bolt on the other side. So I started prying away at the metal.
Little did I know that the sheet metal was welded there to hold the nut in place for that exact reason. So now I am fucked because I can't hold the nut in place and the metal is bent so that doesn't work either.
I also need to pick up some meme 18 inch phillips head screwdriver to finish pulling off the throttle bodies.
After that, I think I'll be good.
So I'm wanting to mod my 2017 taco a bit without breaking the bank. The goal is to make it a little unique, a little more capable, all without killing the mpg. It's a 2.7 i4, 2wd, autotragic.
So far im thinking;
>2" coil spacers for the front
>softopper
>possible lights mounted to the front bumper.
I've already removed the front valence to increase clearance and removed the 2nd air filter.
Any idea on how to make the I4 a little more peppy and the exhaust tone better?
Similar taco on base with a softopper.
I know I need new rims, but not sure what to get. I want a utilitarian look without spending close to a grand on rims alone.
Also i read about removing the tube that has the "cold" air being brought in from the passenger wheel can not only give a little more pep, but also raise the water level?
>>17350372
if you wanted a truck that was even slightly classified as "performance", you should have at least got the 2wd prerunner. what really is the point of a 2wd truck other than to deliver home depot shit in the suburbs?
When did ricing stop being a thing?
When people grew the fuck up.
It did? Then why is the local 4 wheel retard club still rolling around town?
it never did
ricers have been around since car modding was a thing
Are there any ausfags on that could give me a bit of advice? Thinking of buying my first skyline, and not really sure if theres anything I need to know specifically about them. Anyone with experience would be appreciated, especially if you've brought them out of state and brought them home.
Pic related is one I've got my eye on, dude wants $6000 for it, but it has no a/c, so I thought I could talk them down maybe. I can post the Gumtree link if anyone wants to take a gander.
How many miles are on it?
>>17350152
190xxx kms.
>>17350148
please post the gumtree
Okay.
I have about $15,000 CAD to purchase a pre-owned VW from a dealership. I am currently looking at used models and I am curious ... what are the best years/models to buy from VW in the past 6 years?
thanks,
>>17349924
I just picked up an 2012 MK6 GLI with 47,000 miles for 12,000 USD. Its quiet nice, decent power, better than competition interior, nice aftermarket support. You can probably get a later model with less miles for 15k

I really don't care much for tire dressing for appearance's sake, but I do care for increasing tire longevity. Are there any cost-effective alternatives to commercial tire dressing? I've seen some things that suggest canola oil or castor oil, but not much of a discussion followed those recommendations.
Anything you rub on the outside of a tire will have a negligible effect on tire life.
You're better off spending money to sure you are proper aligned.
That being said. You can get nice matte finish with Meguiar's tire gel if you spread it extremely thin.
>>17349790
you will wear down the thread long before the tyre compound itself dies.
Don't be stupid.
>>17349842
On my last set of tires, they began showing signs of cracking where the sidewall met the tread, before the tread got low enough to consider replacing them
Why isn't Honda even trying to compete with Lexus or Infinity with their luxury sub division?
no appropriate platforms
It's not a luxury subdivision, it's a rebadged, better built European Hondas subdivions.
>>17349759
Pretty much this. No real rwd ready chassis.
Their best engine makes less than 300hp.
(excluding nsx)
Help quick please. I was driving my unregistered, uninsured, and uninspected Nova and I popped a tire. If I get it towed to a tire place, will I get in trouble/finned?
