Name one genuinely bad song by Camel.
Hint: you can't.
Jokes on you, I can't name any song by Camel.
>>72725133
best thing about that album is the cover imo
but I like the music in the first album more imo
gottem
What do y'all think of Vulfpeck? A friend of mine recently recommended them to me, and now I can't stop listening. Something about their music just sits so well with me.
Never heard of them, please describe
vulfpeck great band
>>72725170
I don't know much about them, but from what I understand it's some friends that got together for their college project, and started a funk band from it.
Is DAMN. better than Atrocity Exhibition?
>>72725079
i don't think they're directly comparable. but having said that, nah. it probably isn't any better.
not one bit

Does /mu/ fuck with the migos?
I see this album posted a lot. Is it good? Can you show me the best song or two from it?
>>72724954
Bad and boujee is okay. T shirt, call casting, and kelly price are definite standouts
>>72724982
What's with this trend of naming songs after artists that are completely unrelated to the song? Young Thug did this with pretty much every song on JEFFERY
Like the song Wyclef Jean has literally nothing to do with Wyclef Jean
Honest opinions/criticisms of J. Cole?
I don't get the hate meme
he's 90's east coast rap for people too young to remember 90's east coast rap
He makes (c)rap """"""""""music"""""""""""""
>>72724889
Whatever content you can get from him you can get from Nas or Joey Bada$$ but better and less corny
Slowcore thread
What album do you guys prefer, Lowercase or half cut?
I hope /slow/ becomes a thing, but the threads are always hit or miss. Hopefully this one will be good.
To answer your question it's gotta be Lowercase; everything about that album just is so melancholically beautiful, like falling into warm pool or floating on a makeshift floatation device as everything you've ever loved leaves in the distance. The Weight and the Sea is probably one of the best songs ever written desu, the way it builds, the way it all coalesces into a huge noise at the end. Shame these guys didn't make it big.
>>72725070
GM is seriously underrated, which isn't surprising considering that it's between two amazing songs. They use volume in that song in ways that a lot of bands couldn't even comprehend
Thinking about it, probably should've used a more popular slowcore album for the op image
>>72724877
Yeah definitely Lowercase for the reasons stated here >>72725070 Ambered is probably my favorite track from it, it feels like it's the "climax" of the album, and it really shows so much restraint how they only let the music build fully during that one section.
Half Cut is still great though. That pause after the snare hit in Old Star might be my favorite moment in music ever.

How would you recommend i go about getting into rap/hip-hop music? I generally have the whitest music taste ever and like stuff like emo, bedroom pop, witch house, whatever but i've listened to some stuff recently and it seems to be all the rage at the moment so i'm trying to come at it with an open mind
So far i've listened to and liked
>Nas
>MF Doom/Madvillain
>Bones
>Wu Tang Clan
>Death Grips (mainly because everyone here was talking about them)
Generally i dont really get the really aggressive/political stuff (a friend recommended Montana of 300 which was super ghetto shit) probably because i cant relate
listen to this
>>72724847
Don't
>>72724847
I like young thug and other rappers who actually interact with the music they're rapping over, in a musical way, instead of people just talking and saying stuff with the same flow over beats, but mostly I don't like rap so maybe you're like me
Parklife's good, but this is almost objectively better
But Blur are all around shit though.
Search your heart, you know it to be true
this is far better than third

Holy fuck, this album is beautiful

what album is that??????????
>>72724583
No, Anon.
You're beatiful.
Wish she made something as good as this again. She fell off hard and everything since then has been sub par.
Does sound have visual qualities for anyone else here?
but not actually visual, almost like seeing something with your ears, but not the same as hearing?
when i listen to bill evans and miles davis i mostly feel/see dark violet, green, and black in some phrases they play.
when I listen to beach boys i really bright and mostly white, beige, gold, and sometimes orange depending on the album
when I listen to rap its right tight small spots around abstract rigid shapes. It's weird, I can't describe it. it feels like
when you try to imagine something in front of you with you eyes. It's not really there but you can kinda see it
You have synesthesia
>>72724580
you're not a musician, you're just a /mu/tant
get over yourself
>>72724595
Wrong thread?
How can /mu/ ever recover?
>>72724537
How is it? "Hard times" grew on me and was stuck in my head for 2 days.
Probs having No Friends on the album. None of the normies are gonna like it and it won't do the band any favours commercially unless it gets them a BNM on bitchfork
>>72724565
pretty good family
