i feel ya man
why the first one is universally hated, while the second one is universally beloved?
they're not that different, it's practically the same album with the same alternative rock cliches, the only difference is that they've got a more serious image on The Bends
pablo honey have a lot of songs that are completely useless. also thom's lyrical and melodic writing was weaker. also they wore their influences on their sleeve too much, and you can tell when they want to be grunge and when they want to be the smiths. but on the bends the writing got sharper, thom's lyrics and melodies got better, and they found their own sound. it sounds better overall with no bad tracks and a lot of standouts. you can realistically say any track from it is your favorite. but it's a shame that there were a lot of good guitar parts like the one's for Blow Out that were wasted on PH.

THE DUBS OF A GOVERNMENT MAN
Is vinyl worth it over CDs if I want to start a physical collection of my favorite albums?
It just seems like a very expensive hobby, but CD's are dirt cheap and can be played straight from my PC. On the other hand, vinyl has big beautiful artwork, generally retains their value, and seems preferably better for a physical music collection.
Also, is there any turntable that's not over $200 that's not entirely shit? I guess if you go cheap you get cheap, but it seems expensive enough as it is. Definitely not for poorfags.
wax cylinders or gtfo
CDs dont have that shitty cracking and popping and are much cheaper. They take up less space require less maintenance and you can play them in your car. CDs are better you cannot deny this
The value thing is bullshit. If the albums rare then it's rare. End of story. Format is inherently meaningless. Unless it's a locked groove. Unless the album is only available on vinyl then locked grooves are literally the only reason to buy vinyl. The artwork thing is bullshit too imo. If you care that much then you need to find an original print or something.
Every record player except an Rp-117 Is literal shit. Locked grooves with an RP-117 and everything else is literal garbage.
