Are you letting the dust settle on Kasabian? I put it through the ringer a couple of times and its surprisingly solid.
Has anyone listened to Anoche? Im personally not a fan of this album at all.
Thoughts?
Anyone know of similar artists?

ITT: god-tier albums that are so unique there's nothing even close to them in existence, whether in subtle ways or completely revolutionary.
Pic related, album had a few tiny flaws but as a complete package there's nothing like it. Giorgio, Touch, even Get Lucky with pharell, it's the perfect combo of storyteling and dance floor tracks. It's wonderfully produced and composed, def worth the wait for it.
This was revolutionary in terms of the daft punk discog

Even though I feel that post may be ironic given the average consensus I see on /mu/ I completely agree OP.
Aside from this guys other albums (and even then there are differences) there is not a single album I hold in higher regard then this one.
Something about it is just so magical.
Every moment on the album has something interesting to speak of, some emotion being expressed, every tiny little detail has so much emphasis.
I fucking love it.
>>73245397
that album is luxe as fuck
Immaculate 10/10's

If you had to name one artist or band as the most influential artist/band of the last 60 years, who would you pick?
Also, why?
>>73245376
just by sheer #s of bands in their wake
black sabbath
Hendrix
Listen to Are You Experienced and then Disraeli Gears which came out a few months later. That's the leap that was made.
>>73245376
The Beatles, their influence (and by extent the entire invasion) is pretty much what kicked pop music away from bubblegum shit and allowed whites to listen to music inspired by blacks
This album is really good.
>>73245310
yes
>>73245403
prove it
>>73245308
It's fairly enjoyable ya
Why don't musicians release their music in USB sticks and not CDs? Yeah I know most people download but a lot of people still buy the physical copy. A USB stick is still useful even after you transfer the songs to your phone and computer.
>>73245116
bootleggers basically do this in SA
idk but i guess the process is cumbersome compared to pressing lps or cd manufacturing
>>73245116
they kinda did that in like 2008 ish with those little sd cards that came with albums on them, but to really answer your question it's because lots of cars have CD players lol
>>73245137
>bootleggers basically do this in SA
yep. pic related in Mexico.
addressing to your infinite knowledge.
this should be a donald duck parody of some 70s album.
but i don't recognize the album cover. can /mu/ help me?

How did hard bop and modal jazz go so unnoticed in comparison to good old bebop and fusion?
Why were Horace Silver and Cannonball Adderley the best thing ever?
bmpu
The fuck are you talking about?
So What is modal jazz and it's objectively one of the most famous jazz songs of all time. I'd argue Kind of Blue as an album is more popular than any of Miles' fusion stuff, or at least as popular.
Hard bop gets plenty of love with Horace Silver.
>>73244944
cannonball was like an absolutely perfect player, style/aesthetics wise....i love the juxtaposition of coltrane /adderly on kind of blue
